English is spoken here and it makes it easy to communicate what you would like. I arrived early and had a chance to observe the other barbers and they we're all conscientious and gave quality haircuts. I will definitely be back.

Everyone is friendly and easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience even better. Prakash actually listens to what people want and nails the cut perfectly. You can tell they take pride in their work because they pay attention to every little detail. Plus, the place is really clean and just had a cool, laid-back atmosphere.

In America, I went to my barber weekly for a haircut and received a meticulous, precision cut that was a Mohawk with a high bald fade. The cut was perfect every time and I now realize I took that for granted. When I arrived in Portugal, I struggled to find a barber who was highly experienced and able to provide the professional cut I was used to. After each attempt at a barber here in Lisbon, I was frustrated at their inability to use scissors and clippers to cut a proper fade. My haircuts were a mess. That all changed when I found Sirius Barbershop in Rato. I knew the instant the barber started cutting my hair that he was exceptionally experienced. While some barbers fumble when using scissors, my Sirius barber acted as if the scissors were just a natural extension of his fingers. He used the scissors and clippers with confidence and at a pace that told me he was experienced without him needing to speak a word to prove it. I’ve had my haircut all over the world – from Amsterdam to Greece to Nepal to Bhutan and beyond. Without a doubt, I just received the best haircut of my life at Sirius Barbershop in Rato. And it’s a bonus that the vibe and music in the shop are uplifting. I highly recommend Sirius. And if you are considering other barbershops, I suggest you look at their Instagram account. If they are posting photos of everything except the extraordinary cuts they are giving their clients, consider that a bad sign and head straight to Sirius in Rato.
