Fantastic experience: Keith gave me a great haircut, I haven’t been able to find a barber that I stick with or find consistent, but I think I just found one!

Fantastic experience: Olde Soul is by far the best barbershop in ATX. Class act. It’s not even close. I’ve been going since I moved to Austin and have never been given a reason to go elsewhere. If you want a specific kind of cut outside of the norm make sure you pick a barber who can handle it. If you have a problem just ask to speak with Edgar he’ll sort it.

Fantastic experience: Edgar is excellent as are the other barbers at the Olde Soul on East 6th. It’s a great little shop. Edgar is experienced and offers insight and options always listening to the client.

As I’ve been looking for a barber to do my hair for a while, I’m happy I came and finally found a place to get my cuts for now on.

Fantastic experience: Andi is a straight-up fade wizard. Super chill, fast hands, and the shop’s so clean you could eat off the floor (but don’t, just trust me). She hooked me up with a mid-drop fade that fits my face like it was custom-tailored. Location’s clutch too—I might ‘accidentally’ need a haircut every week just to hang out.

Location and time became and issue and I spent over a year jumping other shops and barbers until I found Alan. Clean cut every time and listened and knew how to make the changes I wanted. Fantastic experience: This is my 3rd time seeing Andi since moving to Austin and she’s become a barber I can trust completely. She’s always on time to appointments and get’s the job done in 30-40 minutes. During the consultation phase, she listens really well and asks questions to ensure she knows what you want. During the cut, she does a good job with both clippers on the sides and scissors on the top. Haircuts always turn out well because she understands how hair lays, head shape, and cutting technique. Lastly, conversation is chill and professional. In addition to a great cut, the barbershop itself is welcoming, clean, and enjoyable.

Very happy with his flexibility to fit clients in away from his normal work hours. All of the stylist at the East 6th location take their time per appointment to ensure their clients walk away happy with their service. Couldn’t recommend this shop/Harlon any more to someone in Austin in need for a cut!

Fantastic experience: Came to town for a wedding and didn’t have time to get my hair cut beforehand. Decided to give Harlon a shot at the recommendation of a friend. This guy is incredible! Really wish I’d discovered him before moving, but he now has a customer for life any time that I visit. No joke, getting a fade from him is now one of my favorite parts of visiting Austin. Can’t recommend him enough - not just a phenomenal barber but also a cool guy. P.S. The hot towel service Olde Soul includes puts every other barber I’ve visited to shame.

Fantastic experience: Harlon is the go to for my hair cuts. He does a great job, he is flexible to what you want or is willing to offer suggestions when you ask, and he is friendly.

Fantastic experience: I booked on a whim when I was short on time and ended up getting a fade from Andi. She was actually thorough in her consultation and recommendation (a lost art with barbers these days in my opinion). I walked out of there with a 10/10 cut and never looked back. I see Andi every 2 weeks like clockwork now. She takes her craft seriously and it shows.

Fantastic experience: First time customer. I’ve been searching for a good Barber for several years. I’ve been to many good Barbers, but never found a barber that really listened to what I was wanting or they always rushed through my buzz cut and beard trim. I would always need to go home and clean things up myself. Well, today I was absolutely blown away by the quality service and personal attention I received from Harlon today. I never have high expectations when going to a new barber and felt the same when I arrived for my appointment. Immediately I recognized that Harlon was listening to my wants and actually asking relevant questions to make sure he got everything. I haven’t sat in a barbers chair for more than 15-20 minutes at a normal barber. I honestly do not think I’ve ever had a barber as meticulous as Harlon was. He spent time making sure my beard was perfectly shaped, my lines were even and even buzzed my head an extra time to make sure everything was perfect. He spent close to 40 minutes making it perfect and it was definitely worth every minute. I don’t have much hair and my beard isn’t anything crazy, but no othher barber has ever gotten it exactly like I describe/want. Well, Harlon over exceeded my wants and expectations. Setting up another appointment for 2.5 weeks so I can keep this shape going. Definitely give Harlon a try if you’re looking for a barber in the downtown east area. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: First time haircut with Will was excellent....my son was nervous about using a new barber after his moved away to Houston. Miced-ethnic hair isn't easy for everyone but Will set him up with a great Mohawk cut. Everyone is very professional and the shop is clean and well styled. He will be back!

Fantastic experience: For the past couple years I had avoided cutting my hair very short because I had been burned a few times in a row with some terrible haircuts, but Rachel did an incredible job and I was really happy with it! Also Rachel's dog Paxton is a G and made waiting for my haircut a breeze. I'll definitely be coming back again and recommend anyone else looking for a haircut to check this place out.

Negative experience: The prices are absurd. 75 dls for a haircut and a beard trim it’s ridiculous. Now, let’s talk about the fact that we had to go to a different barber shop after to get the mediocre haircut fixed. We paid 35 dls for a great job at the second barber shop where the guy had to fix the almost unfixable disaster. Terrible haircut by Chris at a ridiculous price. - to respond to the owners response: MY HUSBAND had the haircut, I said “we”. Also, I’m sure you know it was there since Chris is working there and he’s the one who cut my husbands hair, and on a separate note, there’s no prices listed anywhere visible, if we knew the haircut was 75 dls we would’ve never gotten it done to begin with. But to be charging these prices you guys need to make sure you have the skills or the right people doing the job. This haircut ended up costing over 100 dls since he had to go get it fixed. That was not a fade, and looking at reviews I’ve seen other people complain about the same issue.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Austin and had a hard time trying to find someone I trust to cut my hair, but when I found out about Old Soul i was set. I go to Harlan all the time he and I collaborate to find a good fit my my haircut. I refer anyone and everyone to him. If I do move from austin I am flying back just so he can cut my hair. 10/10 quality in every sense

Fantastic experience: Booked w/ jr. barber. So expectation was a decent hair cut, not over the top not the worst. Didn’t really want to say anything because he is clearly learning and my hair will grow back in a couple weeks. Definitely one of the worst haircuts I have ever received and isn’t even close to what I asked for. To be fair, I typically don’t like my haircut until the next day. This one is bad though and extremely uneven. I have attached pictures of my normal cut on the right and what I received on the left. Staff seemed friendly and the spot was cool, just an unfortunate cut. Was not worth the $ Edit*** shop got me back in and fixed the cut, pleaded with the timeliness and the cut. Appreciate them for making it right.

Negative experience: If you want to pay $56 to rock a hat for 3 weeks this is the place to go. I walked in, asked for a fade cut, and EVEN SHOWED THE BARBER A PICTURE OF MYSELF FROM MY PREVIOUS HAIRCUT. The barber proceeded to flip my chair around so I couldnt see the mirror the entire cut. He does a 0 on the sides, into a 1, up to the top my head, where is the fade? After the haircut i looked in the mirror and saw literally patches of uncut hair, I asked him to cut the patches and throw in a line to take attention off the horrible “fade” and he made it x2 worse while consistently saying “I can fix it I can fix it bro I can fix it.” I was done and didnt want him ruining the rest of my hair so i said i was good and paid (which i regret paying deeply). Worst part about it is when my friend saw the back of my head after the cut. Need I say more look at the photos. 0 stars if I could, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Olde Soul for over a year now and I have never once left upset. Literally! Edgar on E 6th gives one of the meanest(best) cuts in Austin and he really cares about making sure you leave looking your best. It took me awhile to find someone once I moved here and I am glad I found these guys. On South Lamar, Chandler is right up there as well. You will not be disappointed. Atmosphere is top notch with good tunes and beverages.

As my hair is very straight, I was a little concerned as barbers in the past didn't manage to deal with straight hair very well. But Rachel did a great job in the 2 haircuts I've had with her so far.
