Positive experience: I had been going to The Guys Place for more than a year and had a great experience. The last two times I went, they were running more than 30 minutes behind my scheduled appointment time. The value in scheduling a haircut is that I knew I could be back to work in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to find a new place since the scheduling is no longer reliable.

Negative experience: I used to go to a branch of this store in Rochester Minnesota all through medical school and was always happy with my experience. Here was a different experience. I’ve seen the prices steadily increase and not to mention little irritations like the minimum tip as 25% (which places a haircut at 42 dollars with tip) and inconsistent haircuts despite knowing what guard size I want and everything else. I’ve had to wait up to 15 minutes despite having an appointment and had haircuts cancelled multiple times same day. That was honestly the last straw for me. I won’t be coming back.

Negative experience: I made a reservation days in advance and they couldn't honor it, to the extent where people were seen before me. Whan more? I tried to modify my reservation and they said they didn't have time but showed no remorse for being late and taking people before me. Three people couldn't figure this out on their end. Update..... Fantastic experience: I had a busy schedule of travel but needed a haircut very badly. They fit me in as a walk-in and Amber did awesome! Better than what I get done at home, I will be back even though I am not from the area.

Negative experience: I initially thought the hairdressers here would be different from other places, but I was wrong. I’m really disappointed by the lack of patience when it comes to listening to what kind of haircut a customer wants. Rushing through the conversation and cutting it short just because the next appointment is waiting isn’t acceptable. The least you could do is make customers feel welcome. My son usually complains about going to get a haircut, but when it was time to come back here, he didn't. Great attention to detail, and listen to what you want. Fantastic experience: Ive had bad experiences with haircuts my entire life, I honestly got to a point where I expected a bowl cut every time and was stressed out the entire time I was in the chair. This was my 3rd time at this location…first 2 were pretty good/not bad…got Kathy this time though and she crushed it. She did a great job of explaining/clarifying/talking through what I wanted and what she was thinking or going to do. Probably the best haircut I’ve ever had and will only be seeing her from now on.

Negative experience: Came in a couple minutes early, got taken back 20 minutes late. The hair cut didn't take into account my cowlicks and the texturing was horrendous. My sides were cut uneven and I will have to schedule somewhere else to fix it.

Negative experience: Their service is bad and they’re on a serious clock, they don’t care about customer preferences at all and only want to get your money as fast as possible. Even before the haircut started, I had requested for texturising my hair from the front and not make them too short; However, there was no effort for the same. To their credit, I was given a haircut as soon as I got there with almost no wait time, and I do recognise that this is a place that stands behind its employees, which again is commendable. But maybe you should spend time in understanding a client’s frustration who has travelled to you based on positive reviews and is constantly reminded of how little time the hairdresser has to finish your haircut and goes completely freestyle. If you’re looking for a place which can understand what you want and truly cares about your satisfaction, DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND NEVER GO HERE! PS: This is not me taking my frustration out, this is just me publicising the mass manufacturing factory approach this establishment has adopted to cutting people’s hair.

Fantastic experience: I came in with no idea of what I wanted for my haircut and had excellent customer service. I was impressed with the result by the end. Kathy was very professional and flexible with what I wanted to do with my hair. I am looking forward to my next visit once I need another cut!

Fantastic experience: Walked in around 3pm and was seen immediately. Kathy asked what I wanted and I showed her a picture and she nailed it. She recognized my cowlicks and explained how to style around them. She also noticed how my hair would work with the style I wanted and explained why we should maybe cut a bit shorter to support the height of the styling. She was also very friendly throughout my visit. I am very pleased with my haircut and the service I received. Will definitely be returning. Update: I finally made time to return and received the same quality service as the first time. Kathy explained her plan to do less cutting/trimming at first and we could take more off as needed and I once again ended up with a haircut with which I am very happy!

Fantastic experience: Quality haircut - Amber did exactly what I asked her for. She asked some questions to make sure I got what I wanted, and nothing I didn't. While I didn't select any of the other available services, it's nice that they offer them if you so desire. Also great that they take online reservations. When I arrived at my appointment time, there were other guests waiting but I got checked-in and then got taken back right away to start the cut. Very professional, affable, and efficient. Out of there in about 20 minutes. Will definitely be going back again.

Negative experience: Based on the positive Google ratings, I decided to visit this barbershop. Unfortunately, my overall experience was not satisfactory. As shown in the photos, even the basic trimming around my ears is uneven.

Negative experience: I arrived at 6:40 for a 6:50 appointment. I checked in and had a seat. I sat there until 7:15 and saw two people--- who arrived after me and had later appointments --- taken back for their haircuts. By 7:15 I gave up. I went to the restaurant next door(Urban Turban --- excellent food). I left a message with Guys that I was next door and they could call me and I would comeback. Never heard from them. I also got the impression that they were not interested in cutting an older man's hair. I'll find somewhere else that will take my money.

Negative experience: Normally I don’t chair hop with barber’s however I found myself in dire need of a shape up. My regular barber is a precision barber very detailed and high in demand. So I decided to take a chance with the under dogs at The Guys Place A Hair Salon, and let me just say it was a bad idea from its location to the ambience of the salon. The barber whom serviced me was very talkative with probing questions of if I was in a relationship or not ? Am I open to dating ? Like excuse me just focus on your work. My shape up is jacked up long story short. I do not recommend this place at all and if you do consider going here just know it’s at your own risk. Editing this review to respond to owner It’s unprofessional to not take constructive criticism especially when you’re given feedback from a first time client whom will never step foot in your salon again. My Barber could definitely come into your establishment and train your staff on a thing or two about shaping up, cutting and styling. You turned the reply option off therefore leaving me no choice other then to edit my review to respond to you. I’ll definitely be taking this to social media as well. And after reading through the other reviews this is typical of you as a owner to respond to reviews that present themselves as opportunities instead of making things right. Fellas I caution you to be aware of what you’re about to get yourself into.

Positive experience: My regular person was out of town, so I did some research and found The Guys Place; I am picky about who I have cut my hair. Benyah gave me a fresh, excellent, good-looking haircut and was a fun person to chat with, too. Although some reviews here seem to be so-so, I am glad I went for it! 4 stars only because I did try to book electronically with a different, well-reviewed stylist but was placed with Benyah (which, again, was great!) but it would be good to let customers know that they may be placed with a different stylist than they indicated online.

This was my first time going to a real barbershop, I've always cut my own hair or gone to great clips and I've never leg anyone trim my beard before.
