Fantastic experience: Never been here before, but passed by quite a few times. They were able to take me in as a walk-in. Took care of me in a timely manner and was impressed with their thoroughness. All done at a fair price. I just found my new barber! Thank you!

Negative experience: Saturday I walked into this shop to get a taper fade. Instead of fading my side burns out he shaved them completely off, down to zero, bald. He used the finishing shaver that bald men use on their heads to start. Didn't start taking it down gradually, shaved it completely off as soon as he started. When he did the first side I immediately stopped him and told him that's not what I asked for and asked why he shaved it off. He kept saying to my face as I had him pass me the mirror that it was not all gone and that when he gets to the line up portion I would see the fade. I've been getting my hair cut for years, my regular barber was out, I know what a fade is, its the only thing I get at a shop and my side burns are thick and long. He shaved it off so bad he cut some of the front of my braids He moved on to the other side and by this point he realized his mistake because he started gradually taking it down instead of shaving it off, but he had no choice but to even it out. Worst cut I've had in years. I've never had a barber zero an entire section of hair out and think that a razor would fix it. I didn't get his name but he should not cut black people's hair, I don't think he understands our hair texture. I could see in his face he realized what he did was wrong but he didn't apologize and still charged me 30. I saw this place had high reviews, and for others it's probably a really good spot. After my experience I will not be going back

Fantastic experience: I have been to Style Legends two times now, both times as a walk in. On my first visit my barber was Abdo and on my second Mohammad. I have lived in Durham for four years now during which I have tried a number of different barbershops. This shop is outstanding and is the only one I plan on returning to. Abdo and Mohammad are both very skilled and attentive to details. A haircut here is worth every dollar.

Abdo take super care of you, been to him 4 times and every time he keeps doing a consistent amazing job. Other stylists will knock it out of the park as well I come in for my beard and hair, always leaving with amazing feeling. Beard and hair ends edged well, scissors on top. Clean, with quality and good time as well

Positive experience: My first cut was great, barbers know what they’re doing, and price is great. However my second time going I got cut by Dani instead of my original guy and he cut me pretty bad. I get it, mistakes happen, but the guy didn’t even say anything about it until I touched my ear and saw the blood. Accountability is important, and just didn’t agree with the way the incident was handled. Not very professional at all, started blaming me for cutting me. Disappointing experience. All the other barbers seem good though.
