Negative experience: I was in Kilkenny visiting today. Called in to the grafton barber and requested a Turkish shave . The shave itself was performed with due diligence but not to a standard that I would have expected .It definitely was not to the high standards experienced in other barbers that I have used.It cost 37 euros which I thought was overpriced especially for the service I got.

Negative experience: I arrived at this barbershop five minutes before opening time (9:00 AM) to be attended right when they opened. Unfortunately, instead of starting work on time, the two barbers spent around 30 minutes doing each other’s hair rather than serving the waiting customers. This is extremely unprofessional. If a customer comes in at the opening time, it means they expect to be attended to at 9:00 AM — not kept waiting while staff use business hours for personal grooming. Very disappointing experience.

Negative experience: I have been to this barber shop 2 times now the first time I went the girl did an amazing job but the 2nd time I went I was utterly disappointed. I got a different barber than the first time and I asked for a haircut and a beard trim. The hair was done to how I liked but when it came to the beard I was utterly disgusted with the outcome. I usually have a thick beard and I asked the man to just take the smallest bit off my beard and shape it up as I liked the length it was at. When he pulled my seat up I was shocked to see that he had left less than a centimetre on my beard that I have grown for quite some time now. The beard was left patchy and way too short after I had told the man 4-5 times I only wanted a tiny trim of it to shape it up. I am extremely disappointed and will not be back again.

Fantastic experience: I visited Grafton Barbers Kilkenny today with an individual I was supporting who has additional needs. Haircuts can be difficult for him at times due to his diagnosis. He can take some time to respond to questions and process information he is given. He also finds it hard to express exactly what he wants. A young man looked after him today, (I didn’t catch his name). He was very patient with this individual and took time to listen to his request and ensure he was happy with the final result. He also conversed fantastically with him throughout and did not rush him when he was taking time to respond. It was amazing to see him being treated with such kindness and respect. What could have been a daunting task turned into an opportunity for independence, confidence, inclusion and expression.

Fantastic experience: Been a loyal customer to grafton barber Kilkenny for a couple of years now, love the service, the people and the work that the talented barbers do. However one thing always bugs me. The screen on the wall showing all the MISSING PERSONS from the past few years. I get it yes, they need to be advertised but when it’s constant it makes me and possibly others feel slightly morbid. Will stay coming back to graftons but would love to see a change in that. Maybe show some sport, the Olympics etc.

Negative experience: Went to barber on Thursday morning was new barber. I left with a line in my hair it took her 45 minutes just to do the sides. Asked for a medium skin fade but it’s half way up my head, don’t know how she got the job

Fantastic experience: Holidaying in Kilkenny, dropped in for a pre-school haircut with my trendy 10 year old son. Lovely professional staff. Great service. Fantastic experience: No appt necessary, no airs and graces like a few barber shops I have gone to recently. I was greeted by Aoife a very friendly and professional person. Unlike other barbers I went to in the past, Aoife actually listened and showed real interest in what I was saying. She offered fabulous advice on haircare and she styled my hair exactly the way I wanted, showing she has great passion in her work. Fantastic experience: I recently called to this establishment and was very impressed with the staff, the manner, and how professional they went about their business with each client while the place was packed. I got a fresh cut fade, and it was the best I got. Bobbi is an excellent business woman and very talented with her craft. This building has a real sharp image inside and outside and caught my eye from the street. Very attractive, tidy and fresh. Negative experience: Recently got my hair cut in here. The barber completely ignored what I had asked for and was more concerned about the queue stacking up at the door. Hugely disappointed with the quality of the cut, not only the style but even simple things like side burns, one of which was completed at a 45 degree angle. Far too rushed. Will certainly not be returning. Thankfully, hair grows.

Fantastic experience: Dropped in without an appointment. They got me in right away. Divina was very friendly and professional. She is a talented barber, and did excellent work. I would gladly visit her again the next time I am in Kilkenny. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I pass a lot of barbershops on my way to get to this one. Its always busy but thats because the standard of work is so high. Its been my regular barbers for a few years now. Highly recommended place - very friendly and professional ! Thank You ! Daniel

Fantastic experience: Visited the Grafton barbers in Kilkenny today and it was great hair cut I received . The staff were very polite and were busy witch is a good sign. I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut with the owner Bobbi and she done a great job we had bit of craic chatting aswell. Over all this place is worth coming to get your hair cut . I'd recommend it to anyone in the area as I'll be returning if I'm here in Kilkenny again . Wishing Bobbi and staff a continued success for 2018. Regards timmy .

Fantastic experience: Took a gamble on the morning of my wedding to get my hair cut, the gamble paid off and more! The staff at The Grafton Barber were all really friendly, even offering me a beer to calm the nerves! Great haircut, even got a head massage and beard massage too. Highly recommended
