Negative experience: Veen barber is very respectful staff but they cost too much money for just for normal hair cutting they don't have any good experience for long beard shape up and tidy up it's waste of money i can do my beard better than barber I am no more interested in here mate too much money just for 10 minutes hair cut £20 normal hair cut not any design

Negative experience: Super rushed, no method used whatsoever, had to tell them to blend the top with the sides - wasn’t really sure how to do this? Honestly, it looks better than not having a trim but very bad overall. I get a skin fade almost every week and once in a while I come across a barber that either doesn’t care or has no clue. I’ve just moved to Edinburgh so unfortunately I got this one wrong

Negative experience: Came into the shop and asked one of the staff if they could cut my hair. Was told no problem and was offered a drink which I declined, but nice touch. I then took a seat. That’s why I left 2 stars in this review, the initial reception. Was then sat for 36 mins waiting. Another customer came in and one of the barbers asked the guy sweeping the floor to pop out and ask if someone was free to come in and help out. He then came back and it was clear whoever he went to find wasn’t free. The guy then approached me and stated he was an apprentice barber and if I would be ok if he cut my hair. 1/ why wasn’t this offered 35 mins previously? It was clear these guys don’t operate fast so they would have known I was in for a bit of a wait, so why not make that clear up front and offer the apprentice? I could have then made a call then and there if I wanted to accept that. As it was, wasted 35 mins, left, and then walked about 10 doors up and got my hair cut immediately.

Fantastic experience: Lovely, super friendly place on Leith Walk with skilled staff that can advise you on what's best before you have your cut. They're the full service outfit for your hair and beard and they use good quality products too. Usually busy but it's a comfortable place for walk-ins to wait and you're sure to be offered a drink. I find the app convenient to use and I can pre-pay if I'm in a hurry.

Fantastic experience: My favourite barbers in Edinburgh. I first went a few months ago when I was in the area and I've since become a regular. They are really nice guys and charge a very reasonable rate for such high quality haircuts. There can be a short waiting time as they have really close attention to detail (especially with skin fades) so best time to go is probably in the morning or early afternoon before they get busy.

You aren’t just getting an incredible haircut, you’re also receiving fantastic service with a smile. They also give you complimentary tea, coffee or even some juice of your own choice. I definitely recommended this place to anyone! They accept walk-ins too which is very handy. They can do any hair cut you desire. Negative experience: False advertising. The sign out front advertises a student discount. I learn after getting my haircut that the discount is only valid on certain days of the week. How am I supposed to know this if it’s not on the sign? This is a misleading and deceptive business practice. Wouldn’t go back again after all this.

Negative experience: Good customer service but not the best haircut - asked for a fade with a number 1 and got a fade with a number 2 and the sides of my head sticking out like a mushroom, the blending at the back was awful. I spoke with the barber via google and they were helpful and said if I go back they will fix it. When I returned the next day to have it fixed the guy had no idea who I was despite the barber confirming I can come in. The second cut didn’t fix the issue - I’ve had to go back to my trusted Rag and Bone - spent £50 in haircuts in the weeks build up to Christmas, I’d go back and ask for a refund but that’s just awkward. Too many barbers seem to offer fades because it is what people want despite not always having full staff who are experienced enough and trained on how to do a fade properly.
