Route 8 Barbers in Bristol Bradley stoke (Willow Brook Centre ,facing harvester)

Positive experience: Friendly place but I'm gunna be so real, they are not that great. My kid looks like someone hacked at his hair with a bloody pair of school scissors a good barber would be better at blending.

Fantastic experience: Best barber shop around - I travel the other side of Wiltshire and these guys are the best! No one better to cut my hair!

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional experience. I waited for almost 1.5 hours while the staff seemed more focused on chatting than actually doing their job. I understand that customer interaction is part of the service, but this felt excessive and unnecessary. It genuinely gave the impression that talking was the priority and the salon work was secondary. Very disappointing, especially considering customers are paying for timely service.

Negative experience: I called to book an appointment for the same day, they told me that they only do walk-ins and that I should pop by. I was there 10 munutes later and was told they are done for the day. (Over an hour before their closing time) absolute joke...

Positive experience: These guys are really lovely, and I don't like to badly rate places, especially those that have a good cause at the heart of what they do (and I really wanted to like this place). That being said, this was a bad hair cut, probably the worst I've had. It would have been *just* excusable if the cut was 10 minutes with no wait time, but the wait was close to 90 minutes, and the cut was almost half an hour. That sort of time in the chair (double my average) you'd expect better.

Fantastic experience: After having a telephone conversation with Sylvester prior our appointment , we turned up a touch before opening for him to take a look and see what he could do with my sons hair it was long, and matted and hadn’t been cut in a few years, Sylvester was professional and settled the nerves my son was feeling and did what he could to save him going bold, to all our surprise he still walked out with hair on his head and gave him a confidence boost that he needed. Sylvester you did a fantastic job and what helped was you were patient and reassurance that helped put my son at ease, as my son said he will be back. Thankyou.

Negative experience: I took my 7 year old son here today and I was shocked how much he was cut up while they tried to do a square neck. Very disappointed. I can imagine someone making a mistake and recognising it after cutting his skin once, but he's left him with so many cuts, my son was in pain clearly and the barber should have picked up on that. Not going here again.

Negative experience: I was charged £3.00 more than expected for a standard hair trim. When I questioned it, an Egyptian/Turkish gentleman explained it was a mistake and said I could claim it back next time. However, when I challenged this, he admitted he was working independently and charged more—despite this not being shared initially. This lack of transparency was disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with Crazy Barber Moh. He is highly experienced and really knows his craft when it comes to hairstyling. He did a wonderful job with both my haircut and my son’s — we were both very happy with the results. Moh is not only skilled but also a fabulous person who makes the whole experience enjoyable. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a great haircut. Truly deserving of the name Crazy Barber!

Negative experience: Pros: great location, plenty of parking. Place looks smart with activities for kids whilst waiting. The 2 guys seemed like genuinely good people. They support a charity and good back story to the place. Cons: the haircut itself was pretty poor. I've had the same 'grade 2 and trim on top' for over 35 years so know what to expect. It was uneven and poorly shaped for my head. My guess is that the barber is new to the industry and will probably be a lot better in a few years time, but given the price they are charging now, I would expect better.

Fantastic experience: My son had a haircut with Mo today. He is a 2.5 years old. Honestly it was the best barber haircut ever my son had. Normally, he cried badly and refused to take a haircut with any barber. Mo made my son calm, comfortable, was constantly interacting with my son, and making him laugh. I would highly recommend to visit Mo.

Had Tom do ky ADHD sons hair, and his patience and professionalism was incredible, and my sons hair looks great... even with my son moving his head to every bus and person walking past! He used a few techniques I’ve never had before, which made the whole thing feel unique. You can tell he knows exactly what he’s doing and really loves doing it, and that shows in the results. Fantastic experience: Amazing service and would never want to have my hair cut anywhere else, both Tom and Joel are unreal at what they do and can easily adapt to the different hair that they see come in - my 3 friends and I are regulars and we never leave with a bad trim. Highly recommend these guys, so friendly and leave you feeling great.

Negative experience: Even a 1 star review is too much . My partner came in for a hair cut today ( Wednesday 26th February 2025) he asked for a zero back and sides and top high fade . The person who has cut his hair has done an awful job and quite frankly this hair cut isn’t worth £17 in which he paid . Do not recommend this barber shop at all . The person who has cut his hair if that’s what you want to call it ,needs to go back and re do their barber course . It’s not the first time this person has cut his hair. The first time he done it perfectly this time on another hand wasn’t done properly at all . It would appear the barber either doesn’t know how to cut hair with a crown or has rushed it . Now my partner is having to spend more money for another barber to rectify this mess . Whether it was rushed or the barber doesn’t know how to cut hair properly they both aren’t good for the business.

Fantastic experience: My first time here. The fade was very good and looked perfect. Sylvester was friendly and gave good advice, as I was unsure on whether to get a taper or a fade. Overall, the cut was enjoyable as he made good conversation.

Fantastic experience: I went with with a basic idea, fade and a bit off the top. Cameron used his skills and knowledge to add a little skin fade into my beard. Great work again, walked in rolled the dice with who I got. 4 times and 4 different barbers. All excellent with their own skills. Great place.

The place itself is tidy, there is a play area for kids inside. You can book online or walk in without any appointment. The queue moves at a good pace, the prices are good too. I will come back. Fantastic experience: Took my son to Dylan at Route 8 to get a proper cut before his birthday, previously he’s been going to a hairdresser with mum and getting a perfectly fine cut but just wanted to change things up a bit for his 11th. Absolutely brilliant, Dylan put my son at ease, friendly and engaging without being overbearing. And didn’t just get a haircut but an education too, loads of helpful advice on how my son can style his hair and best maintain it. Definitely be taking him there again for the next cut and if I still had hair I’d use Route 8 myself too. Recommend.
