Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience when I come to get my haircut here. It’s exactly how I want it and I feel very good after getting it done. Most of the time I go for the skin fade but even if I change the style I’m really happy with the result. The price is very fair and it’s a chilled atmosphere. Ahmed usually cuts my hair, great guy and knows what he’s doing. Top marks!

Negative experience: This barber shop is potluck. I've had two poor haircuts the last time I've been here. Both times the barbers haven't bothered to show me the haircut after it's done using a mirror so I can see it properly. They left my hair wet without even drying or offering to use styling product. Both barbers cut me using razor without using shaving gel or even applying warm water or towel (despite paying for a razor shave). You really need to train your barbers better.

Partner also reccomends it. is abit dearer than other places but is 100% worth it for a skilled barber.

Negative experience: This is my local barbers and always had a good cut but today really stood out to me. The guy that cut my hair was busy checking the cameras on his phone at home. He more like hacked away at my hair and instead of moving my head he kept jabbing me to move. He didnt do what I asked for, asking for 1 on the sides, but did a 3 and slight 2 (being a hairdresser myself i know the grades) then left my hair wet, didnt show the back or sides and left my crown sticking up. I didnt want him messing with my hair anymore so ill have to find a new barbers which is a shame

Negative experience: Regular customer but unfortunately would avoid for now. New chap did a less than ideal scissor cut around the sides with clippers, played with his phone the entire time and had a poor attitude overall. Finished the haircut without offering to show the back or sides and left hair wet without blowing it.

Positive experience: Wasn’t in the best mood today but the service from Ricardo immediately lifted up my day. Such a pleasant and personable lad and the shave was exquisite. Unlike other places who tend to be quite rough with the shave and leaving cuts, Ricardo takes his time and does it smoothly with 0 cuts. Great conversationalist and very skilled. Furthermore, prices are the best you’ll get in Birmingham £12 for a hot towel shave and a good one at that. Sad I didn’t discover this place earlier - will be coming here more often for my last few months in the UK This is my 6th time to Balla and had the worse shave in my life . The guy doesn't know what he's doing . For the first time he didn't use a razor - just machine all the way and then used a hot towel after already completing the shave ? What on earth is the bloody point ? And he was attacking my face so painful and uncomfortable. None of my previous 5 times was like this. Amended the review as requested.

Second time I went done my beared wrong £14 expensive without hot towel shave done my side burn incorrect 1 higher then the other second time was not good little bit unhappy
