Negative experience: Service was great... prices reflect this. The guys working there are all proper kardeşimler. However, my barber severely burnt my ear whilst doing the hair burning thing on my right ear. I was not suspecting anything but he caused it to burn due to the actual wick he used and being a little too rough with it. I kept it light. I didn't refuse to pay, and I didn't say its a rubbish place, no. In fact, I beliebe when business genuinely try, you can see that. My ear has suffered a 2nd degree burn. Its puffed and now is leaking from the parts of the estate.

Fantastic experience: Landed in London from the United States this morning for my first business trip to London. Didn’t have time to get a quick trim before leaving so I booked a haircut here at Ted’s. The short story? I would literally fly to London to have this experience again. When coming back, I will be booking a reservation with Ozzie for another full experience! Here’s how it went down: I booked a reservation for whoever was available. I walked in and within 1 second of stepping in the door, I was greeted by Ozzie and he offered to take my jacket and get me a drink. Yes, cold Turkish beer came with this experience. I sat down and explained I hadn’t been to a barber before and just wanted to get cleaned up before my meetings tomorrow. My eyebrows were a little unkept so I had added that to the reservation as well. Ozzie asked me if I was looking to have anything else done, but didn’t press me as a sale. I said I wasn’t sure but I was open to experiencing whatever he suggested. We stared with the trim, he listened to me and offered suggestions. I saw another client getting a gold mask treatment, another getting his neck cleaned up - I said “let’s go for the full experience”… and that’s exactly what I got. I did not know… that in my 39 years… that I had not yet properly lived… until I experienced this 5 star treatment from Ozzie. Hair trim, neck and beard trim, blade shaved for clean lines, waxed forehead, upper cheeks, ears and nose. Some flame treatment that I don’t understand but made me feel like a man. Eyebrows plucked and trimmed. Pores cleaned, small hairs removed. Face, neck, head, shoulder and arm massage. Hot towels, cold gold mask. This was the perfect way to start my trip, after an 8 hour plane ride and my time riding the tube. This was the perfect way to start my trip in London. Huge thank you to Ozzie. Looking forward to doing this again. 5 stars mate! Cheers!

Fantastic experience: Saw Bobby for a haircut and a shave, and couldn’t be happier! Bobby is meticulous and a surgeon when it comes to hair. On top of this he’s proud of his work which makes you very confident in his abilities. My only warning: watch out for the up sales. I went in for a shave and a haircut and left with that, waxing, facial, and eyebrow threading. All were fantastic, but when added together put a hurt on my wallet lol. It’s not their fault I’m an easy mark. Still, highly recommend 10/10

Positive experience: Good haircut and wash with beard trim. I enjoyed the hot towel treatment l, arm massage and complimentary drink. Unfortunately I didn't get the ear flaming that was supposed to be included in the package I pre-booked and didnt realise until after I left. I also had to wait 10mins to be seen even though I reserved in advance. Not usually an issue but I booked because I was short in time and it's not what I'd expect after paying £70 for the service.

Positive experience: Have been twice. One excellent haircut and one mess up. Moral of the story is one of the barbers is great, and another isn’t.

Negative experience: Have been meaning to try this place for some time as i work nearby and "treated" myself to a beard trim in time for Christmas. As its not cheap I thought I would try the 25% discount if booked before 10.30am, to see what it was like. I was hopeful it would be a good experience and I would return and pay full price for a more convenient time in future. I am not sure if this is reflected in the service as I needed to tidy up myself and trim untidy finishing once I got home. I dont like to post negative reviews and wont name the individual, who was pleasant enough, but I thought throughout he was quite distracted. When being razor cut I do like the barber to pay attention and not keep looking away and chatting to colleagues! Once the cut was done, didnt even brush it through or tidy my hair which had been covered with the hot towels. As I say, I needed to trim once I got home as even my Wife commented how poor it was. Was quite disappointing to say the least and wont be returning at those prices, will stick to local high road barbers.

Negative experience: Went for a monthly haircut on 22 December. Walk in. Thought I'd get a comfortable at ease treatment. Guy who was smoking outside happened to be my barber. He didn't wash his hands before working. His stinky hand ended up on my face and head before it was too late. He was bored to death. I had to ask for corrections at the end and also discovered areas not cut correctly at the crown. On left ear side he cut too much. That's what £45 gets you. I'm not coming back ever.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service today from Erkan. He was very polite and professional and left my hair in great shape. He even gave some tips on which hair products I should be using. Thanks Erkan!

Fantastic experience: I recently got a haircut from Huseyin Yılmaz, and I’m extremely happy with the result. He’s professional, skilled, and pays great attention to detail. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and delivered it perfectly. The fade was clean, the lines were sharp, and the overall cut looked fresh and well-finished. The atmosphere was comfortable, and Huseyin made sure I was satisfied every step of the way. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a quality haircut and a barber who truly cares about his work.

Negative experience: Avoid the barber Huseyin – easily the worst experience I’ve ever had at any Ted’s Grooming Room. I’m a regular customer and normally love this place; every other barber I’ve had has been attentive, professional, and delivered the full Ted’s experience (drink offered, proper consultation, hot towel, etc.). Today I took a walk-in and got Huseyin. From the moment I sat down he seemed irritated and would pause the haircut and have conversations in another language with the barber next to him. There was barely consultation and he just started cutting. The whole service felt incredibly rushed. No drink was offered, and the hot towel and massage part was nowhere near the usual standard I’ve come to expect. When I got home, I noticed the lining on both sides is noticeably uneven and crooked. I’ve never once had to fix or clean up a haircut from Ted’s until today. The other barbers here are genuinely excellent. Unfortunately Huseyin made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Really disappointing and not the standard I’ve come to expect from this brand.

Negative experience: I was about to book and have never visited but will not after reading utterly shocking and obviously genuine reviews. The customer whose mole was cut despite warning. Smoking and then handling hair. At their prices this is totally unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: I visited TED BAKER London in August and had my hair and beard done by Kerem. He gave me a clean refresh cut and a traditional Turkish beard trim with massage — everything was done with real care and skill. The shop is spotless, the atmosphere is welcoming, and everyone there is super friendly. I left feeling fresh and confident. Highly recommend asking for Kerem when you go! Fantastic experience: Popped in to see Huseyin before a night out in Canary Wharf and left looking sharp and feeling fresh. The guy knows exactly what he’s doing — clean fade, great shape-up, and attention to detail that shows. He doesn’t just give you a haircut, he actually takes the time to get it right for you. No fuss, no rush, just solid work and a chilled vibe. Hot towel and head massage at the end were spot on too. Easily one of the best barber experiences I’ve had in London. Negative experience: Terrible experience. I asked for a low taper fade but ended up with a high fade instead. I specifically requested just a slight trim on top, but the barber cut it way too short, leaving very little hair. It’s clear they only know how to do one style of high fade and nothing else. Honestly, I could have done a better job myself. For the price, it’s definitely not worth it. I won’t be coming back – avoid this place!

Fantastic experience: Best in town for quality, consistency and experience. My requirements and expectations were met with perfection. Special thanks to Charlie who did the beard trim quite well. Also, the hot towel was the best part of the experience. Worth the money!

Negative experience: Its called Ted's Grooming but felt more like I was being groomed to learn the art of torture, specifically waterboarding. I sat down, explained what I wanted and he told me to bend over the sink so he could wash my hair, he then poured a lump of shampoo spent less than 30seconds "washing it" and without pushing off any of the water he pulled me back upright in my seat so that all the water came pouring down over my clothes!!!! This happened twice, before and after cut. His idea of an upper arm massage and finger plucking was a joke and the cut was totally amateur. Its my 2nd bad experience at this location so there won't be third. I shoukd be compensated for this hack job. He cut half of my fringe into a stump..

Fantastic experience: I have been getting my hair cut by Huseyin at Teds Grooming Room for the past 2 years, I have been getting my haircut from since he worked in the Teds Grooming Room in Dirty Lane by Borough Market and have now followed him to this branch. Huseyin is hands down one of the best barbers, he is the only barber I trust with providing the best trim and, not only am I confident that I will be happy with my cut every single time. He is very friendly and professional and the conversations we have at every visit are always top notch, generally a very entertaining and satisfying trip to the barbers. Keep it up Huseyin!

Berkay is always polite and really takes pride in his work. You can tell he pays attention to the little details. Negative experience: Went here for the first time on the way out from work as my normal barber would've closed by the time I made it home from my commute. Bad idea. Came in as a walk-in on a busy Thursday evening and didn't really have a choice in who would cut my hair which I was fine with. I did however have someone who came in from the back and seemed very rushed to get through my haircut. I asked for very little off the top with scissors, but the gent seemed more interested in theatrics, rather than being precise to what I wanted. The hot towel and arm massage(?) were a nice addition - though the latter was certainly lack lustre on all accounts, but certainly not worth the margin they put on top of a normal haircut in a non-Turksish barbers. The team were polite enough nonetheless, offering me a drink twice but unfortunately the steep price and inability to follow instructions results in a poor score.

Fantastic experience: Today I had the perfect haircut by Vlad :) Curly hair is tricky but after showing him a few pictures he skilfully delivered an amazing cut that was exactly what I wanted, and that my godson said makes me look 10 years younger… :) I highly recommend Vlad and thank you to him and the super friendly team at Ted’s!

Fantastic experience: Went on a ferry trip out and wanted to stop at tower Bridge except went to canary wharf and found Ted's grooming walked in told them what i was after and waited approx 10mins , had a straight blade beard and head cut by Ozzie. What a great mistake , friendly , professional and the massage was amazing, glad I stopped , not mention the beer or water to have . Service was exceptional . Highly recommend .

Negative experience: I've just moved to the area and decided to get my first haircut here. Very disappointed by the result. Showed a picture from 2 months ago and said I want exactly that. It ended up completely different and awful. May just have been a bad luck/match with the barber. I am considering shaving it all.

Fantastic experience: My husband was in desperate need of a haircut.. he tried to cut his hair himself before we came to London.. luckily, we stumbled upon this chic place and they were able to assist him right away. Bobby was so lovely and made us feel like home, even while i was waiting for my husband to get his haircut. He had quite the experience and truly loved every moment of it, especially the waxing of his ears (he needed it). Bobby was so friendly and treated my man like the king he is. We would come back to London just to see Bobby and sit in his chair. We even stoped by before we left London just to say hi to Bobby and the staff, thats how lovely he and the others were. 13/10, would recommend.. especially if Bobby can make my man look this good everytime. Fantastic experience: I have been using Ted's Grooming Room over 25 years since it was called Efe's Barbers. Canary Wharf is deffo my favorite location of all the London locations. I always get the shave and haircut. The barber who cut my hair was excellent: professional, polite, friendly and very thorough. The only thing I did not love was the hot wax on the ears so that now I make sure they don't give this to me as I found it painful and not that productive. The haircut I request is always spot on, the beard shave is always perfect. Always comes with an arm massage which is certainly a bonus. They are always hospitable with providing Turkish coffees and water on request. I do miss the Turkish delight treats though! Will deffo being coming back again and again.

I have been going to Ted's grooming room, specifically the one in Cabot Place for a number of years, They are in the business of making people look sharp, and the end result is often akin to a razor. 10/10 could not recommend this place enough.

Positive experience: Have some times had a bad experience due to miss communication particularly with beards. However those were the rare exceptions. On the whole an excellent barber and if the service is anything less than stella speak to them and they do their best to make it right. Bobby in particular is fantastic, never recieved anything but the best service in his capable and experienced hands.

Positive experience: Pretty good, but it's not cheap. You do save a bit if you walk in and take your chances as opposed to making an appointment. Good service including hot towels and Turkish coffee

Bobby excelled in relaxing and rejuvenating me whilst sharpening up my look. Looking forward to a follow up appointment before heading back home to Australia, will Ted’s be opening in Oz?

Negative experience: Been going for 1.5 years. Two of the usual guys I go to at this place were on holiday. I think it was a temporary barber, but he butchered my haircut. Last time I had a haircut this bad was a decade ago at a £5 place outside of London. Ive had a couple of average cuts at this place, but for £45 you expect quality every time. Changing to Adam’s in Cabot Place and getting appointment only or even going Cut n Drip in Bromley if I have to.

Negative experience: I am verry sorry to say that this was my first experience at this Ted's Canary Wharf and although the shop showed high expectations, the cut it's self was probably the worst I've had in city. The barber himself said it will be a "bish bash bosh cut" Not a relaxing experience, terrible fade & cut, very disappointing indeed.

Positive experience: I always have a phenomenal experience here with a top notch haircut done carefully and with amazing attention to detail. I usually get one of the guys who regularly works there, Don’t know who the guy was who cut my hair on Sunday 19th, I haven’t seen him before, but my experience was rubbish. Extremely rushed like he just wanted me out the chair as fast as possible, a 5 second massage, no offer of eyebrows or anything. And he left my hair in a flat combover which isn’t what I asked for. Will still continue to come here but whenever you get a guest barber who isn’t there all the time it’s not a great experience.

Negative experience: Been here several times over the years and I have to say the quality of haircut has deteriorated. I went back again last week, yet again disappointed - barbers seem very poorly trained or just don’t listen. All for the privilege of £40.

Negative experience: Really poor haircut. I explained to the barber how I want my hair cut and showed him a picture of myself as a reference point. Informed him I wanted to trim the hair on the back of my head but keep the length on top and on the sides. I was very specific about keep as much of that hair density on the side as possible. Unfortunately, the barber cut too much off the sides and my head ended up looking too angular and narrow. I will now have to wear a hat for the rest of the month while waiting for it to grow out. I received no apology. I am really unhappy with the haircut I received and recommend to other looking for a decent haircut to seek alternatives services elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking Bobby’s haircut and beard trim services for the past year. He is very good at his work and friendly too. Hope he continues to stay in the same branch. Highly recommend!

If you ever get a chance book yourself in with Bobby, he is a great laugh and understands the haircut you need, I booked myself in for a haircut, shave and waxing-I have been going to Bobby regularly now for these and I can’t sing anymore praise.

Fantastic experience: Had a skin fade done by Bobby. The haircut was excellent and to an extremely high standard. Also had the hot wax, threading and hot towel by Bobby and this was a great experience. Bobby is also very hospitable and very nice to talk to. Will most definitely be returning.
