He is a true professional who took the time to really understand what I wanted and walked me through the entire process. He worked meticulously for nearly 90 minutes, paying incredible attention to detail while grooming both my hair and beard, and never rushed at any point. The result was exactly what I was hoping for. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, and the overall service was exceptional. Easily one of the best value-for-money grooming experiences I’ve had — highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I found out about Swagger & Jacks on Google, having been looking for somewhere to get a proper haircut right before my wedding. I saw the fantastic reviews and thought I’d give Swagger & Jacks a go, and I was not left disappointed! Mark was absolutely fantastic. He paid attention to my particular requests as well as the overall growth pattern of my hair and head shape. I can safely say I’ve never had a haircut in my life with so much attention to detail paid to it. My haircut was worth every single penny, and Swagger & Jacks will most certainly be my go-to place to get a haircut from here on out. Mark did an incredible job with my hair, and I can’t recommend Swagger & Jacks enough!

Negative experience: Partner went in today for a haircut and came out it looked awful he went back in there after I said and kindly another barber fixed it for free of course, my partner is left with a better haircut but the guy messed up his beard.

Negative experience: I didn’t really want to write this review, the beard trim and shape was okay and I was mostly happy with it. However, I have been doing my own beard for 18 years and I’ve never had any issues. A week after getting a beard trim at swaggers I got a spot on one of the places that was shaved. This didn’t go away for a while until my wife told me that it was an in growing hair. I’ve never had one in my life, so I just assumed it was a spot. But it wasn’t! Horrible. Managed to get it out, but it persisted and came back. Second time around it’s now gone. I did some research and this is apparently down to unhygienic trimmers… so, it was someone else’s hair growing in me. No wonder I’ve never had this issue before. Swaggers came highly recommended, but I have to say I will never go back.

Fantastic experience: Today, I had a haircut and wet shave at Swagger & Jacks in Norwich. Paddy was brilliant! He gave me the best haircut I've had for years, and the wet shave (a very occasional treat for me) was very close. I was so relaxed that I very nearly fell to sleep! Thanks, Paddy.

Fantastic experience: Had my first experience of "Swagger and Jacks" yesterday. First of all I was very impressed with the atmosphere upon entering the beautifully decorated and busy ground floor I was greeted by the manager ,Robbie, who confirmed my appointment. He introduced me to the barber, Johnny. Upstairs Johnny confidently spoke to me about how I would like my hair cut and styled. Once cut to my liking I was then led downstairs again and introduced to Roxanne who carried out a fantastic facial shave , so much attention to detail, Hot towels, facial oil, shaving soap applied with a "badger brush". So relaxing, I almost went to sleep ! Conversations about her homeland, Norfolk, weather..... you name it ! The process from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. Before leaving I was able to chat to Mark, the owner. He explained the ethos of his highly successful business. The vast experience within the shop. The constant training and introduction of the very latest gentleman's grooming products. The best selection and quality I have seen in Norfolk. Book a visit, its a whole new experience , If " Carlsberg" had a Barber shop....This would be it. Thank you all. Without doubt. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: I live over 100 miles away, so can't be a regular, but the beard trims I've had are great - I tie them in with visits to my daughter at uni. I have a subscription for beard products too. Having shopped around, these are all I will now use. Great quality, do what they say, and smell fab! The customer service is awesome too - a great team.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience at Swagger and Jacks. My son hasn't had great experiences at barbers previously as he hasn't always felt listened to. Sandro ,however, was fantastic. He took loads of time to listen, stopped constantly to check with my son, and the end product was perfect. We will definitely be coming back... and I might even ride my bike in next time.

Positive experience: This is a special place for me, I have been coming here about once or twice per year, usually as a birthday treat. The place was great the staff was super overall this was a nice place to be. I would give it a 5 stars any other time however the last time it didn't feel quite the same: I didn't have the usual warm welcome, the coffee and the coat check, all that 5 star hotel retreat experience! The barber working top was.. .messy, hairs everywhere, which immediately changed my perception of this lovely place, all I thought about was (what if this shaving blade is...). I will definitely go back again, I think the place is great, despite my last experience, hopefully it will improve to how it was before.

Negative experience: Been coming here a long time and have not had this level of issue before, was booked an appointment by my partner and rather than following a further line of questioning about the appointment I was enquiring about, I was told I wasn't there and that they had no availability for me, despite quoting the time and barber when arriving. When a call was made to my partner, who also had a appointment at the same time as me, he was unable to answer and explain. I returned to further try and clarify the situation but was told mostly the same thing, due to the fact that I have limited time to actually fit in an appointment like this, it was disappointing to know that further questions about my appointment weren't asked when I first arrived. The initial conversation was short and due to being told I wasn't on the system at all, I did not know how to proceed with the conversation and left. Unfortunately, when this has occurred in the past, I have usually been asked further questions to confirm the validity of my arrival, why anyone would lie about a hair appointment is beyond me.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment for my partner, who is having surgery in just over a weeks time as he wont be able to reach or wash his hair for a while, received email and text confirmation of the appointment but when he showed up for the appointment, the barber at reception said there was nothing for him on the system. No appointment for 14:45 and no matching name. I was attending a different appointment across the city at this time and had confirmation of the appointment on my phone. So after being turned away, my partner came to find me and we walked back to prove that we had indeed booked an appointment. My partner showed the confirmation to a different barber on reception, who immediately found the booking under the stated name for 14:45. Unfortunately, by that point, no one was available to cut my partners hair, despite him having an appointment booked on the system all along. Absolutely appalled by this as we have never had any problems booking appointments for each other before, nor with checking in with just a name and time. Additionally, we have both used Swagger and Jacks for a number of years now and have never had any issues with any other staff members. Unfortunately, as my partner paid to come all the way into the city for an appointment he was then denied for no good reason, and nothing could be done about it, neither of us will be returning. Friends and family that I have referred to Swagger and Jacks will be hearing about this incident as they also travel all the way into the city to get their hair cut there. Hopefully the barber that refused him will be appropriately reprimanded for his negligence & rudeness. Plainly, he must have been either lazy, couldn't read or simply didn't like the look of my partner to flat out deny there was an appointment on the system that took a fellow barber less than 30 seconds to confirm. Ruined our day and ultimately, will go to another city barber more accommodating in the future.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Swagger and Jack's for years and I've never had a bad haircut. I've seen several barbers and all have been friendly and professional. You might feel it's a bit overpriced, but you get what you pay for. Excellent service - I would recommend to anyone.
