Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere and wonderful people.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for years. I use whatever barber is available at the time for beard/hair trim and I've never been disappointed.

Negative experience: This place is terrible. I asked for a side part and somehow walked out with what’s basically a buzz cut. There isn’t even an inch of hair left. I honestly don’t know how a barber can mess up something that simple this badly. It felt like they didn’t listen at all and just did whatever they wanted without checking once. Completely ruined my hair and wasted my time and money. I would absolutely not recommend Men’s Zone to anyone, honestly very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for years and have always been happy with my cuts. Shout out to my go-to people: Angela, Ali and Enzo. The convenience of being able to pop in is great, but the real priority is confidence in getting a good cut, and they deliver every single time.

Negative experience: Always got just a decent cut, not great but not bad. Just liked being able to pop in with no appointment. There have been many times I've told myself it's not worth the flexibility and should stop going back, but usually got an alright cut so ended up going back. However this time got the shortest haircut I've ever had in my life, did not follow what I asked for at all and quickly chopped off 80% of my hair before I could say anything. Right before Christmas. I honestly can't believe it and will never be back.

Fantastic experience: The truth is this place is so awesome. It's a cultural experience on top of a great hair cut .never disappoint.

Fantastic experience: My son Aiden loves Lorena and thinks she is the best barber in town. She is always friendly, fast and gives him exactly what he wants.

Negative experience: Hygiene is not their strong forte They are quick, fast and that's about it. Enzo is the only barber with skill that is fast, everyone else does a sloppy job. So if you have to go there, request for Enzo. He's the one who stationed right next to the billing counter , the 1st station as you walk in the shop.

Fantastic experience: Mina did an incredible job on mine and my 3 year old sons hair. She was extremely patient and was able to keep my son extremely calm during his and my own cut, which is extremely rare to have my son calm. Will be going there for sure all the time now. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: I've tried several places since moving to Barrie 3 years ago. This is my go-to. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but the cuts are great, the price is right and folks are friendly. They don't take appointments, but that works for me. I usually wait for Enzo. Thank guys and gals for doing what you do!

Negative experience: Third time walking out of there disappointed. And this time down right angry. If you get Mike Enzo or the other older gentleman your getting exactly what you wanted and a good laugh along the way. You get the brunette lady, just wait for one of the other chairs to open up, there isn't a "maybe it'll be better this time" Today I sit in her chair and here is the play by play. I tell her I'd like an undercut with a #2 on the back and side and a conservative trim on top. This is my exact phrasing. She starts buzzing (uncomfortably quickly) and asks if I'd like my beard trimmed? I say no thank you and she within a literal second trims the side of my beard....... can't say she did it poorly or wrong but when you explicitly say no and then it's just disregarded that's just infuriating. Also this is the second time she has done this BTW. So now it's time for the top, she asks if I want the top cut in half to which I say no and repeat the word conservative. She holds the hair to a point where I agree that's perfect, does 3 or 4 cuts at that length then continues doing what she wanted to do in the first place. So instead of the undercut I asked for, here I am with standard generic boy #2. Remember I mentioned how uncomfortably fast she was going, it's because this is clearly the only cut she gives so she can be quick and get more ppl through her chair. No attention to detail just a quick as possible. I was home so quick my wife thought it must've been too busy and that I had just turned around and come home. If you aren't going to give the haircut I ask for could you at least do what you are doing well? Didn't appreciate having to come home and re buzz the back to get rid of the off center racing stripe I left with. Been going here a couple years now. Not bothering again, no patience to keep playing Russian roulette with whether I look like a tool or not.

Fantastic experience: Ali was incredibly professional and so great with my little guy who usually is terrified of getting his hair cut. He has Down Syndrome and the sensory piece of a haircut usually is overwhelming. She was kind, connected beautifully with him and gave him the most wonderful haircut he’s had in ages. She even worked with his growing in areas of alopecia. She definitely has a return customer.

Fantastic experience: Ali is phenomenal! My wife even says these are the best haircuts I have had. Appointments cannot be made so make sure you arrive early if you want to pick your barber.

Negative experience: My visit to this barber shop was a complete disaster. The stylists failed to give me the hairstyle I asked for, and the elderly gentleman in charge seemed clueless and treated my hair like an experiment. Their lack of skill and knowledge led to a disastrous result. Edit: I am being reported for telling the truth? Edit: I only see one other report that is made recently, and false accusations? the barber who cut my hair was Enzo, and did not give me what I asked for. the only reason why you are reporting me is because, you do not want this 1 star, that you call fake? Edit: Its funny how you are accusing me, and also using fake accounts to get fake 5 starts, what is this fake business.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at this barber shop. They completely messed up my hairline despite showing them a picture. The stylists were clueless and made constant mistakes. Avoid this place if you want professional service. Find somewhere else that knows what they're doing.

Fantastic experience: Man zone has amazing hairstylist The only drawback is now that they’re at their new location. It’s busy but for someone like me that likes a sleek well done haircut it’s worth the wait!! my hairstylist is Mina

Negative experience: Poor service. I showed the picture and they were still asking the size of the clips. Totally messed up my hair. The behaviour towards me was also very bad. Worst experience ever

Negative experience: I use it every time, but this time it was the worst finish. I didn't get the hairstyle I wanted. The barber hid his hairstyle with gel. I'm just a shaved mower.

Fantastic experience: Mike is fantasic! He's cut my 3 year old son's hair a couple times and each time it has been a great experience. My son can be quite wiggly and moves around a lot while sitting in the chair and Mike just moves with him and stays so calm. I Would definitely recommend Mike!!

Negative experience: Pictures speak for themselves Second time here and WILL NEVER go back. The lady who cut my older sons hair needs to go into another field of work!! She was RUDE and so unprofessional. Thank God his hair grows quickly. Lady who cut my toddlers hair loved her she was super nice. But I had to cut his hair when I got home lol

Negative experience: They get the job done but nothing more. There is no level of professionalism or customer service in this shop. When you walk in nobody says hello, how are you, maybe at most the guy at the first chair will give you a look like why are you here. The old man, a lady with bad eyebrows and a Latina all cut my hair, the Latina was the only one with a level of friendliness you expect from a barber. The old man has no idea what he’s doing and the other lady cut my hair like she was trimming weeds in the backyard.

Fantastic experience: Mike is the man, does a great fade/short hair cut. Takes his time, very detailed and is good at his craft. Goes the extra mile to shape up my beard edges, even though its not part of the haircut, as I don't normally have my beard trimmed as well. Only complaint is that appointments would be nice, as it can be longer wait times. This can be a pain such as if you're waiting for a specific barber and others are ready, you have to pass up your spot in line to someone else until the preferred barber of your choice is available. Appointments I feel could avoid this, however it is still my go to spot for a haircut.

Fantastic experience: Really great experience. Angela cut my hair today! She did a great job and was super sweet and nice to talk too. I’m learning Spanish and she allowed me to practice and taught me new words to incorporate with the language. It was a very pleasant experience to have been able to connect and get my hair cut by her today. Will be back again in the future

Fantastic experience: Can get pretty busy at times but everybody works quickly while still providing a very good haircut. Prices are very reasonable especially when compared to some of the other barber shops in town.

Fantastic experience: Brought my 7 year old in today bc we couldn’t get to our regular hairdresser. My son ended up in Mike’s chair, I showed him a photo of what I wanted done, he said ok and got to work. My son is fairly shy with new people, Mike was pleasant but didn’t overwhelm him by trying too hard to make conversation, cut his hair quickly and it turned out just like the picture. Positive experience: Great that it was open. So so hair cut. Explained what I wanted but didn't get it. Was told that I could try at home to style it. Again average place, no better than superclips or the like. Its hard to find a good haircut.

Negative experience: This place is a rip off... shaving for $30 & cutting of hair for another $30... and I told the lady that my hair was to be skinned she said I have to pay extra $30 for that again coz it a double cut.... have never heard of that before... really disappointed in their service...

Positive experience: I have gone here many times and have seen many barbers come and go. This was my first haircut since Covid and the barber from Dominica did a great job. However, there was a customer who came in without a mask, was not asked to don a mask despite the sign on door requiring mask use ( every other employee and customer was wearing a mask.) and had his haircut/ beard trim without a mask with no questions asked. Unfortunately, because of this I will not be returning. Grow a backbone management and protect your employees and clients by enforcing policy!

Fantastic experience: A Man's Zone Barber Tier List I have had my hair cut by these Barbers MANY times each. Will add as I encounter new Barbers. The best place in Barrie to get your haircut. This is the Yankee's of Barber Shops, and even the Yankee's have depth players. - S Tier - Pepe (Gone Now): If you were ever lucky enough to have your locks fondled by this Chilean gentlemen you have experienced something not many have - a true, old-school professional. Pepe may take a little more time, that is because Pepe does not rush, the haircut is complete when the desired goal is achieved. Like having your haircut by an angel. - A Tier - Mike: Mike is extremely skilled. You don't have to give him many instructions, he just knows what looks good. Mike is a good conversationalist as well and can talk about pretty much anything. Sometimes mike struggles to maintain his enthusiasm closer to closing. The man has places to be. Go in the morning or afternoon. Enzo: The boss. Enzo is by far the most consistent, if you like a cut by Enzo, you can be sure that he will replicate it every time with the same instructions. Inconsistent personality though, sometimes he is quiet and does not want to talk much, other times he will talk your ear off. It never effects the high quality of his work though. Maybe you wont be blown away, but you will never be disappointed. Angela: A newer addition to the team, Angela really knows what you need and isnt afraid to offer some pushback on your initial suggestion. Her instincts are good. Some of the best haircuts I've had came from Angela, but you have to be clear with your expectations, as she can get carried away with her vision, but even when I personally have been just "satisfied" with the cut, I get a lot of compliments. Chicks dig Angela's cuts for you single guys. - B Tier - Kinga: Kinga is probably the friendliest person in the place, along with Mike, even better when they are both working. She is just fun to have cut your hair and time goes by really fast. Kinga has been one of the more inconsistent Barbers for me, sometimes Great, sometimes some fairly obvious mistakes. Also seems great with kids. Ali: Ali is a little more reserved and will really only talk if you keep the action going. Very nice, does well with clear instructions. I once showed her a picture to replicate and she did it exactly as it was... in hind sight I wish it were a bit shorter, and others would have gone a bit shorter, but Ali doesn't stray from what you tell her. Attention to detail would be an area of improvement. - C Tier - Carmen: Carmen is the old-school style barber of Pepe, without the magic. He is a nice enough guy, although quiet, and he wont deviate from the initial instructions unless you intervene. The cuts just don't turn out as well as the others. Sometimes its an easy fix, other times you have to wait it out a bit. Joe (Gone Now): If speed-barbering was a thing. Joe would have been great at it. His goal is to get you in and out of that chair as fast as possible. Not bad cuts by any means but the quality is definitely reflected by the speed. Great if your in a rush.

Negative experience: I called to see if they would be open Sunday, an automated system told me the hours. listing Sunday as one of their operating days. I make my way there. To find two signs both saying the shop should be open after 9am. Only to find when I pull on the door handle it is still locked. keeping in mind it is now almost 10pm and google says they are open.. So not only did they waste my time by not being professional and updating their hours, but also I was stuck In the pouring rain trying to figure out if it was the wrong door. All in all I will be making sure all my friends and family know to go somewhere else as to not waste their time on a hair cut they may not even get.

Negative experience: Please allow me to paint you a picture of the absolutely *terrible* experience I had with this establishment: First, I called ahead to confirm whether they did appointments or did walk ins. Whoever answered said "Just walk in.", without informing me that at the time they were only accepting cash payments. So I drive all the way there, walk in and see the 'cash only' sign, think, "Wow, I wish they were nice enough to tell me that over the phone, so I wasn't inconvenienced." And I drive all the way home and back with cash this time. I walk in, sit down and look at their menu which clearly states "BEARD TRIM 15", which is half of the reason why I'm here besides a simple hair trimming. I then wait 30+ minutes for them to finish with one customer, and they call me up. I sit down, and ask them to trim my beard, and she informs me they don't do that. Then I say non-aggressively: "Well it would have been nice if I was informed that you don't provide that service, considering it says you do on the menu. Especially considering I had to wait 30+ minutes to find that out." Immediately afterwards one of the employees raised her voice at me and said "Well, it said on the news that we can't do that since last week. Don't you watch the news!?" I state that It's not my responsibility to know the rules that you work by, but it's your responsibility to properly inform your customers of what services you currently supply. Then I say "Maybe you should write it under the cash only sign you hand-wrote, considering it'll only take 30 seconds." Then she said "Well if you don't like it then you should go somewhere else.", all the while the person tending to my haircut is doing nothing to stop her co worker from creating an argument with a paying customer. I say "I can trim my own beard, but I can't cut my own hair, so I guess you're still of some use to me." and proceed with the haircut. The person then cut my hair shorter than I asked, and overall did a mediocre job at best. I regrettingly, fully paid for the terrible service, but left no tip. This is the first time I've had such a terribly bad experience anywhere that I was motivated to write a review, because it's not in my nature normally. TLDR: False advertising, Hostile employees, Extremely long wait times and mediocre at best quality of service. Please consider going to literally any other of the 3+ hair cutting places within the same square kilometer. Don't make the same mistake that I did with just looking at the positive reviews. Have a nice day.

Positive experience: I for sure had a very decent hair cut, the only thing that was off to me was, the gentleman was very quiet. And I just felt like it, he was just doing it for the job. I didn’t feel a if there was much welcome into entering the store.

Fantastic experience: Great experience, Mike did an amazing job and did exactly what i wanted, funny guy that talk just enough and is very good with a pair of scissors. Staff is nice, respectful and professionals; they were all smiling and dynamic. They were very wary of the social distancing, hand washing plus all the employees were wearing masks. The prices are a bit high but for the haircut you get it's worth it. My wife wants me to come back here instead of anywhere else i've been in the past 6 years.

Negative experience: I have been coming here for years on and off. today I came in for my first haircut since covid started. the staff for the most part wore masks but was a little surprised when the women brushed my face with the powdered brush as normal, but what was more concerning was when the straight razor was being used on me, i did not see any evidence that a new blade was put in (disposal of old wrapper or wrapper left on counter). when finished, without disposing of my razor the straight razor was just put back in the disinfecting jar instead of being disposed of. As these are single use razors I would hope they are being used as such.

Fantastic experience: Great Barbar shop. My only complaint is that the owner is a Bruins fan. But no one is perfect. I'll look past that one detail as all the staff are great and you never seem to wait long for your turn. I've had haircuts from Mike, Ali and Enzo. All able to nail my haircut. I've been to other barbar shops and usually end up having to touch up my hair after a shower, but not after going here. Keep up the great work everyone!

Positive experience: This is my "go to" Barber shop. It's been my "go to" for the last couple years. Most people have favorites but when you go here; everyone does an awesome job. Negative experience: I said for them to NOT cut the top of my hair I've been growing it out for 2 years and wanted to grow out longer I told the guy when he started cutting the top he said well we have to cause I already cut some so now my hairs screwed and I'm really mad cause I wanted to grow the top longer

Negative experience: My hair afterwards was okay but I was upset to see what it looked like after I had gotten home... I had long hair and was looking to get it shorter, I asked for suggestions and I had a reference picture. The person left my hair un-even and short at the front, long at the back... the place was very inviting and the people there are great but I was sadly unsatisfied with the hair :(

Fantastic experience: I take my son here all the time, everyone is great, what caught my eye and made me give this review was, as I sat there while my son had his hair cut, the young girl Barber was cutting an elderly man's hair, and the way she was with him and how kind she was with him, warmed my heart, your kindness is everything young lady ☺️

Fantastic experience: My Grandson needed a haircut so we took him in boy oh boy how barbers have changed I could have sat there all day and just watched, this place is amazing. All different age groups all different cuts needed these barbers are true artists. Our Grandson has autism and Ali is just wonderful with him, she takes her time talks to him and he talks back to her and they both have a good time. After his cut he gets to choose a lolly or a chocolate bar plus a car. Negative experience: I had long hair, and they weren't very welcoming. They played a game of hot potato to see cut my hair, then person was suck cutting my hair was thanked for being a team player

Fantastic experience: First time there today as recommended by my sister - I am from out of town. Kinga straight shaved my head and beard. It was the best experience I ever had since shaving clean at the beginning of summer. She was very personable, thorough and it was like she was an artist working on a master piece the way she concentrated on every step, even applying the hot towel before and midway. You're the best and I hope to be back when in Barrie! Enjoy your birthday!!

Fantastic experience: I loved this place! I went in for a haircut and shave. My barber was Ali, and she wonderfully gave me a close shave. I felt quite pampered! I also liked the haircut she gave me. I highly recommend this place to every guy.

Fantastic experience: Once a month I take my son to see Kinga she makes him feel amazing and will attempt at doing any design . if he’s having a bad day or just a little anxious she takes that extra few seconds just to make him feel special .. For those who are saying the place is expensive will you get what you pay for!!!!! I feel the prices are very reasonable .. Great hair cuts , beard trims, and shaves. When I can convince my husband to grow his beard out kings also makes him look amazing

Fantastic experience: $25 for a men’s haircut, a little on the high end, but they have always done an excellent job doing what I wanted. If you want your hair done well, this place is worth it.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for a number of years. Great barbers, customer service, and overall experience. Yes sometimes you might have to wait a few mins to get served, but that’s also an indication that the place is busy because they are all great barbers and do a great job!

Positive experience: Great owners and very charitable. Staff is not consistent with a couple of exceptions. If a Soccer game is not on you might not get the attention you should. They don't do any online or call ahead appointments. Hard to get a seat without waiting for 45 mins. Not cheep considering above stated.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to “A Man’s Zone Barber Shop” for my haircuts and hot towel shaves for over two years now. I see Mike for my haircuts and hot towel shaves each time. Based on my experiences at other local barber shops, Mike is in my view the best barber in Barrie, Ontario and quite likely one of the best barbers in all of the Greater Toronto Area. He takes his time with haircuts and hot towel shaves and is meticulous with his work. As an added bonus, he and the the other barbers all have a great rapport and sense of humour. A great experience every visit!

Negative experience: I didn't like my haircut on Saturday October 27th, 2018. Came home, wife and I had a good laugh. Definitly look like a whole new man alright. It'll grow back. Will be calling for a refund.

Fantastic experience: Friendly people with the skills to cut trim shave and shape your head. REALLY good with beards and mustaches! Update: just went there today and got 10/10 service and cut/beard trim! Sometimes there's a line but it's worth the wait!
