Hey Johnny, sounds like there’s been a bit of a misunderstanding. When booking online, there’s an optional feature where clients can prepay (and, if they feel inclined, include a tip) to make checkout faster — especially when they’re returning customers. It’s never been mandatory — not once, not ever. Honestly, we actually prefer settling up after the service since it saves us the processing fee our booking platform charges.

It’s a bit unfair to leave a review without ever visiting, but we get that technology can trip people up sometimes. Most folks find our system simple, but for the select few who don’t, we’re always happy to help in person, by phone, or email. Hopefully you find another shop whose booking setup feels more your speed, and if I could make suggest even looking into some Walk-In Only shops to skip the pesky booking software altogether. That said, our appointments are booked within set time slots. We’d love to be able to spend an hour or more consulting every client through multiple style options, but not everyone is looking for that experience (and some already feel our pricing is “too high” as it is). It’s always a balance between keeping things accessible for the majority of our clients while still offering quality service.

After speaking with the barber, we’re confident you still have more than enough hair to explore a mullet-style cut if that’s the direction you’d like to go. If you’d like to give us another try, send us a text or email—our barbers would be happy to set aside a bit of extra time to really dial in on what you’re after. And if that’s not what you’re looking for, we’re glad to provide a refund.

At the end of the day, we want people to walk out feeling good about their cut, and we’re sorry this one didn’t quite land for you.

We get it—traveling is stressful, but reviewing a shop you never actually received a haircut from isn’t exactly a fair reflection of what we do here. We had three barbers on that day: two actively cutting, and the third just minutes from his next appointment. That’s not “only two people there,” that’s a fully booked schedule working exactly how it should. With over 1,100 clients every month who have no issue booking ahead, our system clearly works. We can’t be responsible for poor planning, but we can guarantee that those who do book get the quality service we’re known for. Hope you can find a spot that can accommodate your scheduling habits, there is a shop out there for everyone!
