Define Hair Studio and Barbershop Halifax

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience at this barbing salon on two separate occasions. Most recently, I booked Nate two weeks in advance for a 10:30am appointment. On the day of the appointment, he asked if I could come 15 minutes earlier, and I agreed. While I was already on my way earlier than scheduled, he then messaged to say he would be 15–20 minutes late. I accepted this, assuming he was genuinely running behind. However, when I arrived at the shop to wait (10 mins after the scheduled time), I saw him actively cutting another client’s hair; likely a friend, while chatting casually. By 11:00am, he was still working on that client (over 30 minutes), and then told me to wait another 15 minutes. This was extremely unprofessional, especially after asking me to come earlier. Prior to this, about two weeks earlier, I was attended to by a barber named Tra. He was rude and nonchalant when I politely explained how I wanted my hair done. As a customer, I expect basic professionalism and respect. Respect for customers’ time and basic customer service are important.

Fantastic experience: Always go there when i need a cut and always greeted with a smile! The staff are amazing and cool and the haircuts and hairstyles they give are cooler. Highly recommended !!!

Negative experience: Really upset about the way I look right now. If you have curly blond hair this destination is not the spot for you. This establishment is just as expensive as high-end salons, but does not provide shampoo or post cut styling that the salons provide. I was never concerned I was balding, as I've never seen the signs. Somehow this haircut has made me feel like I am only a few months away from looking like Howie Mandel. Really friendly barbers, but for hair like mine it just isn't the right fit.

Negative experience: By far the worst barber experience of my life. I asked for a light trim and they chopped it all off. I look completely different. I deeply regret getting my hair cut there.

Negative experience: The guy was showing me his SoundCloud rap songs and told me he didn’t have a license to cut hair but watched some YouTube videos. Literally left and immediately went to another barber to fix my haircut. Additionally, the lady at the door tried to force me to leave a 5 star review. 0/5

Negative experience: Terrible experience. The barber told me he learned to cut hair on YouTube. The receptionist tried to pressure me into leaving a 5 star review when I was leaving and started arguing with me when I said I couldn’t. I asked for my hair to be done a certain way, this was totally neglected and the end result is that I had to go to another barber to fix it
