Negative experience: I have been going here for over 2 years now. And unfortunately today is the day I have decided to never go again. Be prepared to wait approximately 3 hours to get hair cut which is expected and I don’t have an issue with. The thing I have an issues with is when a barber sees a friend he tells him to sign in as we all have too. However when that barber finishes a cut then sweeps the floor so slowly waiting on his mate to come back so he jumps the cue. And unfortunately we are pretty sure it happened a few times whilst we were waiting which is pretty shit in my books. I know they won’t care but I will never go back.

Negative experience: Haircut is pricey, and only okay. Just be warned that if you book two kids in at the same time, and they say the wait is about 40 minutes, what they mean is 1 kid will be about 70 minutes later and kid 2 about 2 hours later.

Negative experience: Worst barber i have ever been to, I wanted a blowout taper fade and i told the barber a little bit off from the back and he took 80% of my hair

Negative experience: Male, medium long hair opn top (side and back already short), , charged $45 to have side and back shaved.... ended up cutting almost 20% of my long hair off the top of my head that was tied up.... 10/10 would not recommend as they over charge and butcher your hair. 100% regret paying and wish i said get Bent.

Negative experience: We got turned away today because my son was a little upset before the haircut. Very disappointed. The guy at the shop said he didn’t have time for it and that there were other customers to be seen and told us if we could leave. He didn’t even bother to try and comfort my son to make him calm down for a haircut. Don’t bother coming here if your child has hard times with haircuts, they make no effort!

Fantastic experience: We had an unsettled screaming toddler and the guy did an amazing job at cutting my son’s hair and was very patient considering the circumstances! We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the haircut!

Negative experience: Absolutely beyond angry I went in for my sons first hair cut I explained to the guy 3 times I don’t want much off a little trim just want the little long bit evened up my son had beautiful long hair all I wanted was 2cm off. The guy just went in and cut, did not even check with me on the length before cutting it. He cut it at shoulder length! Way more then what I wanted. Completely furious and extremely sad. I also asked to keep some of his curls that he cut off which didn’t happen after he was apparently finished he cut a bit off his head of straight hair so now he has an uneven chunk out. I will never be back and I would never ever recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Having cancer and not knowing who to turn to I walked in and they shaved my head and did not charge. Yes I was crying so was my daughter. Amazing amazing people.

Fantastic experience: Brought my teenage son her after getting a botched haircut elsewhere, even after producing a photo for reference. The gentleman spent more time on getting his hair “fixed” than the lady at the other barber did trying to get the style done. At the end I went to pay and he said not to worry about. So surprised and uncomfortable not paying, but super grateful and have one relieved son. Have taken him to Grindstone before and definitely won’t be taking him elsewhere again.

Negative experience: Sign says they close at 4pm, I rocked up at 3:20 to get my head shaved and was told that they were done for the day. Pathetic service.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time, this morning when we asked the manager how long take the waiting for that person always cuts our kids hair, he said one and half hours but we waited for two hours and twenty minutes and it was only one person front of us and the person cut our kids hair he left for lunch and we waited for another forty minutes and he didn’t back from lunch time, we waited for three hours and one of my kids felt sleep, he should cut our kids hair then goes for his lunch, because he knew we waited for long time and if he goes for his lunch we have to wait more time. We never back there because we waited for long times and they don’t respect. If I could I give the management zero Star.

Negative experience: The sheer amount of times I've tried to get a haircut and been turned away because they're booked up makes my last visit the very last. Respect your customer’s time, and offer a booking system so we can go elsewhere. Such a large volume of 1-star ratings echo the same frustrations. Clearly not listening or waking up to the fact that you’re building a poor reputation for your brand, which, over time, may be difficult to recover from. For those who have stumbled across my review, if you value your ‘time’, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Negative experience: My son just got the worst haircut of his life here, he literally looks like he has a beehive! Waited an hour and a half for the cut. For some strange reason they cut into his hair to maximise volume at the crown of the head and it looks horrendous! Total waste of $37, will have to go somewhere else to fix it.

Fantastic experience: Went to Grindstone at Waurn Ponds on Friday had a lovely young woman cut my hair and trim my beard. She made suggestions about thinning my hair and shaping my beard. Im very happy with the cut and the proffesional way she worked.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at this place absolutely loved it a guy named NAJ listened to each word I said (although my explanation was bad) and he gaves me cleanest fade, fixed my beard and looked after me as I'm new to the shop. Highly recommended!!!!!

Negative experience: Had to make the guy cut the edging the same hieght. I said 2 on the sided blended to the top and leave the length on the top, instead he hacks the back off and doesnt even let me see. I told him step by step instructions He has mauled me with a weedwacker Im just gonna have to get a buzz cut

Negative experience: Worst beard trim I’ve ever had! One side is 10mm higher than the other, and my neck not shaved properly leaving tufts of hair! Too busy admiring each other’s tattoos and not concentrating on a quality job. Go woke go broke!!

Negative experience: I've had 2 children in 1 week walk out in tears from Grindstone because the Barbers could not follow simple requests with hair... Take less than an inch off long hair and they walk out with less than an inch remaining.... The kids are being bullied as a result - They are taking on very average barbers to handle high volume and you will likely walk away devastated... Avoid !

I had a wedding coming up and Luke took the time to head out my problems and what was needed. He did such a great job and really gave me such a great service. Negative experience: 47.50 for a 8min cut (side fade, nothing off the top)... I'm clearly in the wrong profession. Also a barber with 2 haidressers and 1 barber.

Fantastic experience: Was very pleased with the service and quality of the harcut I got. There was a decent wait, but the business is located in a shopping centre so as long as you are aware you can occupy your time. Would recommend.

I was met with a very rude blonde lady with tattoos who just didnt want to be there! once seated , I removed my mask which I have done many times before . She told me to put it back on !! looking around , no one in the store getting their haircut was wearing a mask. when i asked her why i had to she commented that she does'nt police it . Now I am concerned that i have caught COVID and that the shop is dirty !! i will never go back and will be contacting the police !!!
