He’s also very easy to chat to, welcoming and has awsome music playing. The vibe of the shop is also epic and inviting in itself. Nadir also took the time to give me advice on areas of the city/bars to check out. Most importantly I was really happy with my trim - the best I’ve had in ages. Highly recommend and will be back!

First off, the barbershop itself is something else; the interior has a sleek, cool vibe with a lot of personality. It’s clear they’ve put thought into the design, from the lighting to the details in the decor. It has that cool, almost boutique feel without trying too hard. As for the cut, the barber was top-tier. He listened carefully, made my son feel comfortable, and gave him a fresh, stylish cut that had him grinning ear to ear. You can tell when someone takes pride in their craft, and this barber definitely does. Great atmosphere, good music, excellent service, and skilled hands behind the scissors. We’ll definitely be coming back.

I'm not a local, but it felt like I was back home at my usual spot. 5/5. The barbershop is really awesome as well, it has so much charm that feels like it's missing today. Fantastische ervaring: Great barbershop in central Amsterdam. Self-decorated with his personality, Nadir mixes a bit of punk, a bit of grunge, a bit of noir Hollywood, and all swagger! Operating for over 10 years, Nadir makes an American looking for authenticity and edge very accessible. I went in for just a beard trim for an upcoming wedding, but after looking at myself im a full length mirror, I realized I needed to full works and Nadir did not disappoint. Just enough conversation with periodic updates and questions about style, I left feeling like a new man and have been commented on my "sharp look" from my travel mates. Highly recommend if passing through Amsterdam. (He is missing some New Orleans flair, so I'll have to send some to him!)

Ik ga al jaren bij hem langs, en hoewel ik inmiddels niet meer in Amsterdam woon en hem minder vaak zie, is het altijd weer thuiskomen. De laatste keer dat ik bij hem was, was een jaar geleden, en toch begroette hij me meteen met: “Hé Bas” – hij wist mijn naam nog. Dat zegt alles. Nadir knipt met volle aandacht, hart en verstand. Altijd een goed gesprek, altijd met een glimlach de deur uit. Dit is geen gewone kapper, dit is een vakman en een warm mens. For me, there’s only one barber in the world – and that’s Nadir. I’ve been coming to him for years, and even though I no longer live in Amsterdam and can’t visit as often, it always feels like coming home. The last time I saw him was a year ago, yet as soon as I walked in he said, “Hey Bas” – he remembered my name. That says it all. Nadir cuts with full presence, heart, and skill. Always a good chat, always leaving with a smile. He’s not just a barber – he’s a craftsman and a genuinely warm soul.

Negatieve ervaring: Bonjour je vous propose de ne jamais y allé j’ai eu une coupe simple un taper et il a réussi à le rater Mon ami s’est fait abimé le coup à cause de toutes les machines utilisées je ne sais pas à quoi ça sert d’utiliser 50 tondeuse pour un travail aussi minable que cela c’est vraiment honteux Et 40€ pour une coup comme cela c’est vraiment phénoménal que ce coiffeur soit bien noté A éviter !

Fantastische ervaring: Had a haircut and beard trim this morning from Barbershop Stardam. Excellent experience! Great service, professional staff. Both the stylist and owner were very courteous and polite. The stylist, a gentleman from Syria whose name i forgot unfortunately, was very refined with the use of shaving and trimming equipment. Nadir, the owner was great to speak to as well. Price seemed slightly more economical compared to other expensive options in Amsterdam central area.

Negatieve ervaring: I do not recommend.The barber did a poor job cutting my hair. He also cut my forehead which caused me to bleed (See photo). Also the cut was not even. On top of that it's way too expensive for what you get. I paid 45 Euro for a simple cut+bread(which was cut way too much). I regret going there

Coupe de cheveux bien, mais barbe ratée et pas symétrique… J’ai apprécié le « salon de coiffure » jusqu’à ce qu’on me fasse payer 50€ à la fin… belle arnaque, car à ce prix là j’exige un salon de luxe avec une coupe de champagne. j’aurais mieux fait d’acheter une tondeuse pour le faire moi-même.

The gentleman who cut my hair was Sami, and he was absolutely incredible. Sami was friendly, had great communication, and above all, a very skilled barber. I highly recommend him and this shop. Nadir fixed it and I should have just gone there in the first place. Hip spot, very friendly staff, and cute doggie. Plus, excellent haircuts.
