They didn't compare to Daniel, so I'm now back getting my hair done by him. His attention to detail is great - the fades he does are consistently clean and precise. It's absolutely worth the longer trip.

Daniel too great care and attention working out the style I wanted and added some great suggestions I suffer from extreme anxiety in this type of situation but he made me feel great and did an amazing job Will happily return back there and will definitely ask for Daniel again.

Fantastische ervaring: Got cut by a Spanish guy with long hair called Carles, Before that a Dutch guy called Daniel did my hair at the same place. 100% very good barbers, both of them were excellent. With Carles it was my first time I got cut with scissors while I have an afro. And I was pleasantly surprised with the end result. Really good, detailed. I like the atmosphere as well, chill dudes, good music, they offer you a drink and there is accesbility to charge your phone. 10/10 would recommend. Good work guys, keep it up.

They don't just give you what you ask for—they come up with fresh ideas and styles I never would have considered, and they always turn out to be a perfect fit for me. Negatieve ervaring: The italian barber is good and very chill but unfortunately I got a haircut from a ukrainian female with a buzz cut. I was being friendly but she was overall rude the entire time. I spent €50 on the haircut and she wouldn’t let me wash my hair after and then dry it. My face is clean shaven and she wouldn’t shave the literal 5-6 hairs I have on my neck for free. Wanted me to pay €20 for that. The haircut was good though but I’m giving 2 stars for bad hospitality from the girl. Overall the barbershop is good but overpriced for the service you get. I recommend only getting a haircut from the italian male inside, I would give a 1 star for the girl I was with. edit: Can’t lie the haircut was goated though. 5/5.

Negatieve ervaring: Had a really strange and awkward experience here due to the founders unprofessional behavior. I was asking my barber about his upcoming trip to Indonesia, he hasn’t traveled much and was asking me some advice and we were just in general talking a bit about planes as I’m a full time nomad of 8 years and am on 60ish planes a year typically, and I’m a plane nerd! The barber (mid length hair and tattoos - the founder of CZN Studios) working on the chair next to Dik and I started jumping into our convo and telling me all the advice I was giving him was incorrect and not true, he was insisting that even if you book a plane ticket for two that they absolutely won’t sit you with your partner and that the seating is random. I politely tried to tell him that’s not true and he laughed and got argumentative and upset that I mentioned how much I travel and that what he said wasn’t true. I guess I was just tired of the rude guy behavior and talking over me, and he felt the need to insert himself into the conversation, so I answered back. The vibe I got was that he’s usually right and doesn’t like someone challenging that idea. Dik handled it well and said to the founder that he was pretty sure he was wrong also. Dik later tried to invite the founder into conversation again and he ignored him at first, then replied he didn’t want to talk to us. I also speak Dutch, I’ve had a tutor for two years. He was speaking about me to the persons whose hair he was cutting and laughing about me. I just continued to talk to Dik and ignored this because I didn’t feel like acknowledging what was bully like behavior or have any issue, he already made me uncomfortable enough. Dik is amazing, he does a consistent good cut each time and he’s super nice! I’ve been coming to Dik for a while whenever I am in Amsterdam, but am uncomfortable with the founders behavior and don’t want to be around that when relaxing and getting a cut!

The service was quite arrogant, the haircut was quite unfortunate and the worst part was paying €40 (which I had to pay 24 hours before). Frankly I would have liked to get a proper haircut as it wasn't complicated at all and I would have liked to have been treated properly for the price I paid.

My appointment was with Lucas, a Junior Stylist, and he was incredibly professional and attentive. A person to just give me some ideas about a new tryout hairstyle. I think he could be more creative, but i am not complaining, because i didnt have something specific on mind, so he also didnt know what exactly to suggest. In each case, they may be a little bit over the typical barber pricetag, but definitely worth it if you want something of high quality

Fantastische ervaring: This was my second time getting a haircut at CZN Studios, and I must say this time was more fantastic than the first. My barber both times was Carles, and he was extremely welcoming and friendly. He completely understood what I wanted and crafted the perfect haircut. The rest of the staff was also amazing. Always laughing and having conversations with the clients and with their colleagues. The owner was especially friendly, and really made me feel at home in his establishment. 10 out of 10 times I would recommend this barbershop, and i’ve been to plenty! Try them out, you wont regret it. P.S. they have the the best playlist I’ve ever heard.

Hij gaf tips hoe ik mn haar kon doen ik had altijd hetzelfde kapsel maar door hem heb ik nu eindelijk een kapsel die bij mij past. dikke so naar czn. kapsel was perfect en de zaak had chille vibe niet straat en ook niet te netjes.goeie gesprekken maar hij bleef niet doorpraten ben altijd druk Ik kon eindelijk tot rust komen in de zaak tijdens het knippen. Aanrader voor als je in amsterdam een goeie kapper zoekt.

Negatieve ervaring: I hate to leave this review because the haircut that I got was amazing and Yaman as my hairdresser is friendly and professional. However, it must be said that my experiences from the last 2 visits have been unpleasant and borderline discriminative. The staff are rather cold and unwelcoming, and on many times, I felt invisible and getting ignored there. As soon as I get in, I got an unfriendly glare from the owner, which I never really get why. As soon as I got in, I get always ignored during my first 5 minutes. Never a ‘good morning’, or ‘hi’, or anything. Which I get if that’s the vibe of the business, but it was simply not true because they gave friendly service to everyone else except for me and one other South-Asian looking dude. I tend to give businesses the benefit of the doubts, especially in the service industry right now. But given this happen twice, I chose to ask if it’s really the case. Barbershops are those institutions where you come to relax, have a good time, and come out feeling more confident and attractive as you are. While I do receive a nice haircut there, it’s sad to say I don’t feel that way coming out of CZN Studio. As I see they have majority 5 stars here, perhaps I might be the wrong one who’s overthinking it. But from my 6 years going to barber places in Amsterdam, this is on the side of the disappointing ones.

Negatieve ervaring: I came in looking forward to the experience, given all the 5* reviews. I explained the cut I was looking for, and watched in horror as the haircutter pulled my hair up straight and took off a year's worth of growth with one snip of the scissors. And just like that, I got the worst haircut I can remember having. It's been a couple months of wearing a hat. He was technically adept, and had definitely cut hair before. But thick hair and listening to my requests were definitely out of the person's skillset. I think if you need a very standard haircut, CZN is probably fine. But if you have thick or "tricky" hair, I'd recommend going somewhere else. Good luck!
