Experiencia fantástica: This is a phenomenal barber shop but even better than the barber shop itself is my longtime barber Dave who cuts hair there . . . Dave can only be described as a barber’s barber!!! He is as professional as they come and gives all kinds of haircuts (he’s cut my son’s hair as well) . . . he cuts my hair in a special way to cover my bald spots and I’ve even seen other barbers in the barber shop consult with him when cutting other customer’s hair or trimming their beards. A great experience all around with such a terrific barber although it’s best to make an appointment in advance when planning on going there to have your hair cut by Dave!!!

Experiencia negativa: Hands down the worst haircut I’ve ever had. It’s been almost a month and I’m still recovering from the damage because of how poorly my hair is growing out. I walked in with a beautiful head of hair and left with a horrible, unfinished product. This was my first time ever going to a barber outside of my home country, and it was such a nightmare that I will never do it again. I showed a reference photo and gave clear instructions: a little off the top and a low taper fade. Instead, Chris left me completely chopped. The back was left extremely heavy (which i had asked to not make it so heavy) and wasn't blended at all, leaving me looking like a mushroom. It was so bad that my girlfriend, who has no experience cutting hair, had to go in and blend the back herself just to make it presentable. For $75 CAD, I am beyond disappointed. I was referred to Chris by a friend and, while the treatment there was pleasant, the actual result was a disaster. I asked for bangs and some texture in the front, but he proceeded to overly texture my entire head. I have really thick hair, yet he thinned the front out so much that it actually looked like I was balding. My hair is now unstylable and uneven everywhere. I used to have nice thick wavy hair, but now it’s just spiky and unmanageable. I felt robbed. If I could give zero stars, I would. No one should ever leave a barbershop feeling this unconfident after spending $75. Beware.

Experiencia fantástica: Yavengy Cut my hair very good he even used razor to texture and then later on I noticed that I wanted to kind of just taper up the back and the sides a little more so after work, I stopped back and spoke with the owner Jorge and he took very good care of me and he shaped it right up the way I like it! This is the best haircut that I found in Florida in 20 years. I will come back to this place again and again because of their customer service and the way that they handled things so professionally and nice with me!

Was offered a different barber, who unbeknownst to me, doesn’t speak English and couldn’t understand what I mean when I kept saying, “just clean up the low part of the sides, please no high taper”. Ended up with something completely different than what I asked for, then I got charged for a full haircut. Was too frustrated to even argue so I paid twice the price to be given the teenage boy broccoli haircut I specifically said I didn’t want.

I gladly accepted and while i drank my coffee we went over my haircut and beard. He offered suggestions as the cut was occurring and I loved the result. Update: Chris took care of me again today and hes so great he knew my hair and how to get me back in shape in a flash, hair and beard in 40mins . Add $10-tip please. - ok.. - Why the total charge is $52? - it is some taxes… - What taxes? - I don’t know; I’m new here ‍♂️ Do you need a receipt? - Yes please. Why is it only for $40? - You added the tip; we cannot show it on the receipt… ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️ … a disaster - if anyone understands… The only reason it is a 2-star review and not 1-star: the owner seems to be a decent and caring guy - that extra “star” to you, man!

The last time I went I showed up early for my appointment and when my time came the barber was still with another customer in the chair. After about 15 minutes another guy showed up , an older guy who spoke in Russian to my barber so I figured they knew each other, and next thing my barber is taking this guy ahead of me. I had to wait 45 minutes that day for my cut. I’m always a good tipper, every cut a good tip and every Christmas I’d tip my barber $100, but that day I paid the bill handed him a low tip and never went back. Best barbershop? - if you speak Russian and can cut ahead of others who arrive before you do.

Experiencia negativa: Chris the barber was fine, but I thought the cost for a plain barbershop job was a bit excessive. There was nothing special about the trim, and the shop was located in a regular strip mall. I have had jobs done in NYC and Philly, where I currently reside near, and even in those cities, barbershops are not as pricey as this one was. All the work was done with clippers, so I don't understand why it was so expensive. Next time I head to Florida for vacation, I will visit my local barber to get a much better job done for practically half the price.
