Negative experience: I just moved here acrossed the street and walked in for a haircut. There were zero customers. There were two barbers. And they said that they could not help me if I didn’t make an appointment online. They said they did not have time for an appointment. Their website says they accept walk-ins. Obviously they do not, even when there are no customers there.

Negative experience: Second time in 3months I showed up to an appointment - only to be told the stylist called in sick. No offer to compensate or discount my next one. Won’t be back.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Layne now for several months. I usually charge it up a bit every time and he always listens and delivers. The vibes at Floyd’s are top notch. Booking is east and I rarely have to wait.

Layne at the North Loop barbershop has been by and far the best experience with the brand and has a loyal customer in me. Very highly detailed with any level of fade & goes above and beyond to make sure we’re happy with even the smallest of details. Keep it up brother - appreciate you!

Negative experience: Their customer service is very poor. The girl who cut my son’s hair was not very kind, my son’s hair is very curly ( and instead of referring his hair as hair, she called it “this”.) I will NOT recommend anyone to this place.

From the moment I sat down, it was clear she’s a total professional—skilled, confident, and focused on making sure I got exactly what I wanted. She took the time to ask the right questions, made great suggestions, and delivered a cut that looks and feels great. On top of that, Cecily has an easygoing, genuine way about her that made the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable. It’s obvious she truly cares about her clients. The shop itself has a great vibe—clean, stylish, and modern with a bit of an edge that makes it feel unique without being over the top. Based on this last visit, I can confidently say I’ll be back. Fantastic experience: Love going here!! I’ve had a number of stylists work on my hair over the last two years and everyone does such a wonderful job. They know my name when I walk in, it’s a good vibe and for fair prices! I recommend Jessica or Jenessa! But all are great!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting consistently great haircuts here for years. I normally wouldn’t want to share my stylist with other people, so I can keep them all for myself, but Kristi is just fantastic. The only problem I have is with the booking times. I want at least 30 minutes to get a great haircut and am not sure why I’m being prompted to book any other times than on the hour or half hour. Hope this changes so we can all continue to get great cuts!

Fantastic experience: Tim at the North Loop location is awesome. He takes his time to make sure every part of my hair transformation is too my liking. I’m really picky so I appreciate his attention to detail. He also helped me pick out two new hair products, one that I knew I needed and one that sorta came out of left field. Fantastic experience: Glad there was a Floyd’s in the area. I decided to get a haircut before my gym meet tomorrow. The experience was great with the vibe of the barbershop, the friendliness of the staff, and the location itself not too far from the main downtown area. I got a regular Floyd’s cut and it looked great and cute for my liking. Overall, Floyd’s does the job and I always recommend Floyd’s as my go-to for getting a haircut!

Negative experience: So no haircut today. When I sat down and he asked what I wanted, I told him how my hair gets cut. His reply: “You booked a Floyd’s cut and what you’re asking for is a fade. That takes 45 minutes and the service you booked is 25-30. I don’t have the extra time today to do that service.” I told him it’s never taken that long and he just shrugged. I said, “Never mind. I don’t want half a haircut.” 1) It’s never taken 45 minutes to cut my hair. I’ve been going to Floyd’s in other cities since 2015. 30 minutes, tops. 2) It was DEAD in there. DEAD. They had six stylists and two customers; me and one other. AND the next two appts on his online calendar were not booked.

Negative experience: Don't show up without an appointment - it says they take walk-ins but when I showed up during a slow hour I was told it would be a 4 hour wait.

Negative experience: Second time I had an appt switched at the last minute with a barber I had an appt. with, this time they took someone before my appt. knowing it would take longer, they did not even call me, they let me show up, waited 15 minutes past the time I was supposed to have someone cut my hair and then said it would be another 15 minutes and that someone else couldhelp me a little sooner. I left. They could have at least called me, but they thought again oh well, we will be late and just give hime somone else. This place sucks they try to hard to be hip, they dont een konw most of hte music they paste on their walls.

Negative experience: Great atmosphere but yall messed my cut up big time. Seriously bad look. Was told it would look better after a night.. the hair did not reconstitute itself while i slept. Would have been o.k. without the price tag - extraordinarily high for what was an extremely small amount of hair removed. Like no hair!! That's north loop baby! 50-60 dollar range

Fantastic experience: Katy is the best, she knows me and my hair the best, knows how I like to present, and understands my sensory issues. She has never given me a bad cut or color. As a trans non-binary, she makes sure that the kind of hairstyle or hair color makes me feel gender euphoric on top of understanding my autistic sensory issues when it comes to hair. I have not made a decision with my hair because I know that she will make sure I walk out happy.

Negative experience: I was treated rudely by the stylist. He acted like what I wanted wasn't possible, when using the same descriptors someone had been able to give me what I wanted just fine before. I attempted to let the stylist know I had some irritation on my scalp from an allergic reaction to a shampoo I recently used that was scabbed over and not open, but he further insulted me by implying it must be related to my regular acne (or as he called them "open sores" on my face) but still was trying to ascertain what I want for some reason. I no longer felt confident when it started off with being insulted when I was trying to be transparent about the issue I had. If he was straightforward on just due to the appearance of my scalp itself and policy if he couldn't proceed and I might have taken it better and felt like going to a Floyd's again in the future since I'd been to Uptown before and had 0 problems, but now I'd never give this chain another cent.

Negative experience: It was not a good experience because of the receptionist not being welcoming. The barber was good except he didn’t do the clean up, my face was all covered in hair. I hope this message is good for you and you can do better.

Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and it’s kiddo friendly and approved! We will be back! UPDATE! We returned for our third visit today and Katherine was great! She asked if she could put product in his hair when she was done and he loved it! We continue to recommend this place to everyone we know! UPDATE!! We just celebrated our TWO year anniversary of visiting this shop for our oldest haircuts. We still love Katherine, she is just amazing with kids. Our youngest, who hates haircuts, actually lets Katherine cut his hair and he does so well! I can’t say enough good things about Floyd’s 99 of the North Loop!

Fantastic experience: Perpetually traveling, I was delighted to stumble upon Jacqui, a fantastic barber! A precision skin fade and high-and-tight cut, enhanced by a pleasant conversation and valuable insights on local eateries. I'll undoubtedly choose Jacqui again when in the area. Went to the north loop location show up early parking almost impossible.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been here multiple times, and always leave with a smile on my face and nice hair on my head. Nick is great at what he does.

Negative experience: Today was the second time I've been placed with a different stylist than I'd booked with and the second time I've gotten a really bad beard trim. I'm starting to think some stylists have no experience shaping beards. As soon as she put the guard on the buzzer and ran it across my cheek I knew it was over. The straight razor was dull and pulled the hairs. I was surprised when I didn't have marks. She also added a lot of beard oil to my beard without asking. I'm not someone who uses much of any and didn't appreciate it.

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely loved Jessica at Floyd's. She does an amazing job with my haircut every single time and I have been going back to her for the last 2-3 years. I would highly recommend her and her team.

Positive experience: They give solid haircuts most of the time, but I was disappointed when they got rid of the free shampoo at the end and replaced it with a shoulder massage. I don't think people really care about the massage. The whole reason I started going to Floyd's was the shampoo afterwards to get rid of all of the hair trimmings. Without it, I have to shower after every cut, which is the worst. I don't even care about the scalp massage or the shampooing; I just want the rinse. The barber will usually do it upon request, but I feel bad asking because I don't know if they're supposed to.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Floyd’s are always super nice and helpful. It’s in a convenient location, and I generally like the vibe in there. Now about the only thing that matters..the haircut. I’ve gone to Amanda F for about a year now and I consistently get haircuts (and beard trims) that I receive compliments on. She is very talented and always asks questions to make sure that I am getting exactly what I like/want. She has even turned me on to some hair products that have helped me maintain my hair exactly how I like it. I cant recommend Floyd’s and Amanda F enough.

Positive experience: I shouldn’t have to second guess my haircut after getting out of the shower but after finding the hairs behind my ears weren’t faded in with the rest of my fade and just overall not paying attention to detail I was extremely disappointed with my visit being that I’ve only gone twice so far… yes I was only a minute or so late to my 12:30 appointment but that shouldn’t be an excuse for the barber to complain the whole time during my visit and make me feel uncomfortable after throwing the comb he was actively using at another employee… this experience was not worth $65 bucks with tip… even though he did ask if he needed to fix anything, I felt extremely uncomfortable during my visit and just wanted to leave at that point but I should’ve looked more closely in the mirror and made him fix what he should’ve done correctly in the first place… hopefully the next time I go back I’m not second guessing myself if the barber is doing his job right or if I picked the right barber in the first place…

I have lived in major Cities around the US - NY, Chicago, San Francisco and travel the world for my job- and I’m always on the hunt for a good Barber who is masterful with a clipper and can effortlessly create a crisp fade that I like - and one that others notice - people comment on my awesome haircuts all the time!!

Negative experience: I was a little sticker shocked due to the quality of my haircut I received, to be quite honest I’ve had a better haircut at a great clips. a week later and my hairline is not what I wanted and I’ll have to go somewhere else to fix what my stylist has done. I am severely disappointed, and I’m out $61 dollars.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting my haircut by Scotty for a year or two. I’m really picky with barbers so I took my time trying out some different folks at different shops. I decided to stick with Scotty because he really listened to what I wanted and executes EVERY time. I can be a high maintenance client because I change my mind on what direction to go all the time and Scotty is always ready to try something fun and explain why he thinks some ideas may or may not work with my hair. Beyond that, he’s just really fun and easy to chat with while I get my haircut. Thank you Scotty!!

Fantastic experience: I came to Floyd’s one time in Maryland and didn’t enjoy the experience. I decided to give them another try when I moved to Minnesota. I was welcomed by the staff with open arms and got a chance to get a fade from Flora A . And I couldn’t be beer with the results. She was extremely fast and always offered educational tips on different champion conditioning methods to improve the strength of my hair. I have been going back religiously ever since and I don’t expect to go anywhere else. I have found my new barbershop here in North Loop. I highly recommend going!

Negative experience: Went in for a haircut for my first time and the person cutting my hair was rude the entire time. 2 of my friends recommended this place and have had a great experiences. When I went, my hairdresser was clearly impatient with me, annoyed and made comments about me making sure I described exactly what I wanted in the back so it wouldn't have to be fixed. Got charged for a mid-length cut when online my exact haircut was a "Floyds" cut. All around negative experience filled with passive aggressiveness, annoyance & flat out rudeness. Will not be going back.

Never been disappointed with my dew!!!I've been going to the one in uptown and North loop for about a year and a half. Anytime I went somewhere else, they could never get it right and always end up wishing I would have just gone to floyds
