Negative experience: I've been going here for 3 years and I'll never go back again. Josh is a butcher and I would look nicer right now if I had cut it myself at home with a lawnmower. My last visit was a month ago and every single day since then has been a bad hair day. I spent 3 months trying to grow my hair out, and I'm going to have to throw that all away and buzz it again because there's actually no fixing what these guys did. When I asked if I could have a hand mirror to look at this guy's handiwork in the back, Josh lied to me and told me there were no mirrors I could use in the store, even though I could obviously tell there were multiple hand mirrors laying around. Every day I wake up, look in the mirror, and regret paying money for this mess.

Fantastic experience: This barbershop truly delivers! The service was wonderful, and the prices are very reasonable. Colton was a phenomenal barber. He handled my husband's four years of hair growth with skill. He made sure to be attentive to every detail and never rushing the process. The results were incredible. Will be back!

Fantastic experience: LaBelle’s Barbershop service was excellent. I opted for the beard trim and the hot towel, moisturizing treatment, and facial massage. Payton was my barber. Service was excellent, he was professional and calculated in his work, and he gave me some good feedback for maintenance and care to grow my beard further. The shop itself is also really nice on the inside with great environment, interactive barbers, and really comfortable chairs. Will definitely be going back for future appointments.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting my hair cut here for a while now (by Payton Dobbins), and I’m always impressed with the level of care and quality. My most recent fade was done perfectly—sharp, clean, and exactly what I wanted. He always goes above and beyond, constantly improving his craft, and it shows in the results. On top of that, the friendly atmosphere makes every visit a great experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and delivers top-notch service every time!

Fantastic experience: So I walk in to get a haircut from Payton dobber (I had an appointment) the only reason I’m writing this review is because this is unacceptable. The kid lied to me and told me he’s been cutting hair for 3 years. Come to find out he’s fresh out of barber school. I could tell because the fade he gave me was the worst one I ever received in Ohio. I would have respected it more had he said he’s fresh out of barber school and have patience then to blame it on my hair why it didn’t come out good. I can’t respect someone who would lie directly to my face. However, I want to give a huge thank you for the owner LaBelle who steadfastly came over, realized it was a bad haircut and performed a miracle on my haircut. He’s an amazing barber and I would 100 percent recommend going to him. He’s booked weeks out in advance but it makes sense why! Not sure on the other barbers but me personally would only go to the owner! Thanks again for fixing my hair! Updated review ❤️

Fantastic experience: This place is just top notch man. It is really expensive for a cut but the quality is worth it. I cant fit that in my budget really, but i always pay the extra money to get my sons cut done here. My wife took him somewhere else for his 2nd cut and they BUTCHERED IT, so i took control of the haircuts and brought him back. (hes 2). This is his second hair cut here and i will always eat the 2-3 week wait for the owner to cut my sons hair, because hes just that good. Awesome with the kids, and really takes his time to make sure its done right. Thanks again charles, the cut looks great!

Negative experience: Seriously the worst haircut I've ever had. Nothing is blended and everything's a different length. I look like the male equivalent of weird barbie. They offered to fix it but why would I put my trust in a place that let me leave looking like the Cynthia doll from Rugrats.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to the owner for my haircut for years, long before he had his own shop. I’ve had my hair cut by each of the current barbers at this shop. You won’t find another more professional establishment and group of gentlemen than this place. I will never go anywhere else. I’m convinced that the one star reviews here are either from someone who’s never been there, or jealous competition.

Negative experience: This place is awful. They run off all their solid dudes. Their employment practices are sketchy and they up charge for a barber in Akron, OH. You pay way over price for a mediocre haircut while the big guy just shouts and laughs obnoxiously - it's annoying. As I write this, a song came on… “Never going back again” by Fleetwood Mac

Negative experience: I’ve given this place a shot twice and both times now the barber I was with was let go or left bc of drama with owner. I had an appointment scheduled and was not notified my barber was fired. This seems to be an owner problem not a barber problem as the really good barbers keep getting run off. Not to mention now the highest priced cut in town that doesn’t match the quality of service.

Negative experience: Loved going here for haircuts and beard trims but I made a booking and the barber I booked with was let go… I got NO notification just that when I tried to check my booking it was canceled. Why I wasn’t notified and/or rebooked is beyond me but that is really poor customer service. Wonder how many others were just canceled with no explanation or notice?

Positive experience: Just an update 12/10/23 Great hair cuts and friendly staff, maybe they should just add on their website that it's CASH only especially when booking. They have an ATM but they charge you $3 to use and your bank will charge you $3 ..like most people I do not carry cash, had I know it was cash only I would have brought that.

Positive experience: The guy who cut my hair was very friendly but I feel like the cut I ended up with was not really what I asked for. It doesn’t look bad but it’s uneven (one side longer than the other up top) and it just wasn’t worth the price for me. If you have coarse curly hair I’d avoid this place but if your hair is straighter I think you’ll be satisfied.

Fantastic experience: Went here for the first time and had a good experience. I got a fade and they did a good job, it was blended nicely and looked great. It's a little more expensive than a couple other places I went to since moving here. You are mostly paying more for the ambiance. It reminds me of a whiskey and cigar lounge kind of vibe. Darker lighting, dark wood and leather, vintage barbershop chairs. Unlike some other places I have been in Akron, they did a good job cleaning up after the person before me so I didn't have to climb over other people's hair before I sat down. The haircut was $29 before tip here, and the last barbershop I went to was $14 before tip. If ambiance is worth paying more for, then this is a great place to go. I recommend making an appointment online from their website so you can get seen in a timely manner. Free Parking is available on the street, they don't have a parking lot. I went around noon and didn't have any difficulty finding a spot close by to park.

Fantastic experience: My nephew is a few months shy of his fourth birthday and hasnt had a hair cut of any kind yet. So when a haircut topped his Christmas list, I didn't even consider any other barbershop because I have heard nothing but fantastic things about LaBelle's. Brian was extremely patient with this antsy little guy and took his time. But most importantly, be understood the emotions that came with this milestone moment and was super wonderful with my sister. Our little dude had a great experience and walked out of that shop an entirely different kid!

My Fiancé, Son in law and Grandson get their haircuts done by Josh. Although, I have only been in the Parlor a few times I can tell you that its very trendy with competent, dedicated, result oriented Barbers. You instantly become like Family with their cordial approach in welcoming new Clients as well as returning Clients. Not to mention you will love the results!

Positive experience: Colton seemed to be a very nice young man! Hardly any interaction! I was supposed to get a beard trim, shave and facial. The shave was fair. Still have places missed on my neck under my chin. Not sure what the massage was! The steam for the facial was hitting my chest not my face. Would I give them another try? Even though I left disappointed, I would give them a second chance. Sine this experience the owner has called me and offered to have him give me the services! I have been olanning on giving him that opportunity, but at this time it has not happened ! I will keep you posted!!

Although some of the barbers are new, Charles makes sure they get the job done right. Not satisfied? Say something and they'll fix it before you get out of the chair.

Positive experience: The haircut was good but shaving was borderline scary. I dislike the idea of training your new barber on full-price paying customer. My barber was very uncomfortable and not confident in the shaving job. The end result was as clean as electric shavers would do, then what's the point of paying $32? The razor blade did not touch my necklines at all. You guys should do your training on your friends not me. I'm disappointed. I'm sure the boss knew my guy screwed up but he couldn't do anything at that point.

Positive experience: I can only rate based off my fade cut with Sam, but it was uneven and did not fade into the top of my head. Straight line on one side and diagonal line on the other looking like Forest Gump. I'm sure the other barbers do a good job and it was a great atmosphere. But I would avoid Sam for the fade.

Fantastic experience: Before I moved out of Akron I went to LaBelle’s for a couple years. All of the barbers there are excellent. They are also super personable and hilarious. Another thing I loved about this shop is that it was priced like a normal barbershop, but had a bit of an upscale atmosphere. The decor looked and felt kind of like a bourbon bar, and they are appointment only. I would highly recommend LaBelle’s!
