Fantastic experience: Been in to Vince’s to see John a couple of times now and always left with great results. I don’t get my hair cut too often and therefore pretty particular when I do. John crushed the all scissors cut - great attention to detail, friendly without being overbearing. Will be in again!

Negative experience: BAD EXPERIENCE!!! My scalp got infected after coming here and I am having a very hard time healing. They need to clean their tools and the shop as well. Bathroom was filthy and lack of hygiene is noticeable everywhere. Unfortunately I noticed it too late since it looks decent at first glance. And my haircut wasn’t even good. STAY AWAY!!!

Once I got there I couldn’t have been more pleased. A nice location and Paul did an excellent job taking me from Chewbacca to a normal guy. Fantastic experience: Jon at Vince’s Barber Shop was a great haircut with a fun old timey feel. My father is in a wheel chair and wanted to get a shave with a straight blade razor as well as a haircut. The owner of the shop was there too and was very friendly and helped me set up my dad in his wheelchair. The chairs there are authentic from the early 1900’s and beautiful. Jon did a fantastic job with my dad, even with the added difficulty of his wheelchair. They even gave my dad a beer while he got his haircut which he really enjoyed (as did I!). Thanks for the great service!

Fantastic experience: A superb barbershop in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego. Making an appointment is super easy online. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The barbers pay attention to the finest details. It’s no hyperbole when I say this my favorite haircut I have ever had. Special shout out to Paul who is quick, professional, and very detail oriented. I can’t recommend this place enough. $40 dollars is a steal with the this quality. Cash is preferred!

My mother who used to cut hair herself and is somewhat of a perfectionist - commented it was by far the best hair cut she’s seen on me. Fantastic experience: Best haircut I’ve ever had! I was just passing through town but needed cleaned up before an important meeting. Georgii was able to take me as a walk-in and I highly recommend his services. Wanted a classic 60s style scissor taper with a right side part a la Don Draper or Ted Lasso (something that never turns out right at the big box barbers). He spent a good 45-minutes on me, meticulously shaping my cut so it would lay perfectly, even without product in. Great experience overall; I just wish I lived here so I could come back regularly!

I just visited with Pavlo, who very much cared and focused on his work. I can say confidently, this is the best haircut I’ve had in years. I used to cut my own hair in between finding new barbers… but I can guarantee I’ll be back to visit Pavlo!

Don't be put off by the reasonable prices, since they are lower than the various hair salons in the area. Boris, the owner, is truly the best barber in California, but you can't go wrong with any of his people, they are all superb. Fantastic experience: I drop in here anytime I'm in the area, super convenient when I'm traveling because they're right by the airport. I've had a couple different barbers and the guys there are always pros with their own styles. Old school barber shot feel with an artisan touch. I think they've even expanded to two shops, one on either side of the alley. Glad to see a good place grow. Would recommend to anyone that's gonna spend time in the little Italy, golden hill area or anyone visiting SD by way of the airport. I always walk in and never have to wait.

The experience led me to another barber shop for a second buzz cut. During the interaction, there was frustration and a lack of resolution. Boris seemed insistent on attributing the issue to a supposed bald spot, which left me feeling like my own hair was better understood by him than by me. Overall, it was a frustrating experience that could benefit from improved customer service and communication.
