Fantastic experience: Chase took his time with me and made sure the experience of cutting 20+inches off my hair was not even close to being as traumatic as it could have been.

Negative experience: I called up the moose and asked if they had any haircuts available today they told me yes and they said we have an appointment available for 2 I said sounds great I’ll see you at 2 !!! I then got a text from them saying that my appointment had been cancelled so I called them up and they said I needed to have a credit card on file which when I called them up they said nothing of the sorts !! Then when I said okay they said my appointment was terminated and my time slot was filled extremely unprofessional and I am outraged

Negative experience: Cool place, but if you are looking to get a haircut here I would recommend you look at the photos on their website: that is what they specialize in. I came in looking to get mini-mullet type cut with a photo I provided and started by asking them to just take a little bit off (~1/2 inch), then we could go from there and the next time I looked up I basically just had a crew cut. Not that it is a bad haircut or anything, it looks a lot like the hairstyles they have up on their website which are fine. It is just not my style nor the haircut I asked for. Edit: Yes, I said I wanted a "mini mullet-style cut," showed a picture of Brad Pitt's mid-2000s styling, and walked out with a classic taper that looked like neither. Mind you, this review was originally 4 stars saying that I got a good haircut, just not the haircut I asked for. It didn't mention I sat in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting for my haircut, didn't mention I originally booked scalp therapy and never got it, not even sure if I was charged for it, and frankly, I don't even want to know because it will only upset me more, especially considering that ignorant response from this business. If you look at a photo, say "I can do that," and then can't do it, I would be happier if you canceled the appointment than mess it up. If I pay 80-90 dollars for a haircut, and the stylist looks at the photo and SAYS, "I can do that," I would assume that they can do it anywhere else; not here, though, apparently. Furthermore, how poorly they respond to a 4-star review should speak to their customer support. Go spend 40-50 dollars somewhere else; apparently, all the extra 30 goes towards the pool table in the front.

I at first loved my cut but then it was pointed out to me that it was choppy on side and the electric clippers that she did above my ears is completely uneven. On side goes up much farther. Ugh oh well. Been here 5 times and idk if I’ll be back. They’re so nice though.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at Moose Barbershop. I called at 11 AM to ask about walk-ins, and a guy confirmed he could give a haircut at 11:30, even inviting us inside when I mentioned we were outside. We waited 15 minutes outside still, but when we went in, a woman at the front desk dismissed us with a condescending attitude, completely disregarding what the guy had promised. She was indifferent, snooty, and made us feel unwelcome. Horrible customer service, waste your time if you want ‍♀️ She didn’t even go ask the guy if he had the time or anything. Just wasn’t helpful at all.

Negative experience: Edit: See below comment from the barber shop in attempt to discredit my review. Attached is a photo of my bill, if i was never there please credit back my money. Do not go to this barber shop! I had a horrible experience, as did my co-worker. We were on a business trip with canceled flights due to weather and figured we would go try an upscale new fun barber shop near Broadway. The barber had no clue what he was doing when cutting hair, I don’t know if he was new to hair or what, but both of our cuts (done by the same barber) are botched. Both of us paid 55$ plus tip and are having to get our cuts fixed at our typical local barbers.

Fantastic experience: I got an amazing cut and beard trim from Nolan, I came in visiting for the weekend from Los Angeles, he lined up my beard with a razor and gave me an incredible cut, top tier, and he is an awesome guy! If you are visiting from anywhere and looking for a barber this is the guy to go to , mind you I get a cut and beard trim weekly, he was amazing and thank you again to Nolan for the amazing work!

Fantastic experience: My fiancé and I were in Nashville for a wedding and since he didn’t have a chance to get a haircut before we left, we had to find a place quick when we landed. I did some research and chose The Moose Men because of their rave reviews and booked Nolan for a haircut and beard shape up. My fiancé came out with the cleanest haircut I’ve ever seen on him! Nolan paid so much attention to detail and you can tell he takes great pride in his craft. My fiancé looked so sharp for the wedding, if only we lived in Nashville and could get him in there regularly!!! 10/10 would recommend booking with Nolan if you’re in the Nashville area!

Jason asked my son a lot of questions, discussed what he was going to do and asked if it all sounded okay before starting. He spent ample amount of time making sure that it was exactly what my son wanted; was one of the best haircuts he’s ever had! Wish we lived closer!

Fantastic experience: Visiting in town and found Thr Moose via a search and Facebook recommendations were excellent. Their place is great! Pool table and guitars while you wait for your appointment. Mike Garcia was such a pro. Took his time and the attention to detail was great without any rush. He was very personable as well. All in all.one of the best haircut experiences I have had. Plan to stop each time I come back through town.

Fantastic experience: Such a cool spot. Decorations, accommodations and customer service are all incredible. I drive 40 minutes to get to Nashville, and this is the 3rd quality barber shop I have tried. I’m sold with this one, and will book to come back to them every time. Oh yeah haircut… it was fast. Which made me fear it was poorly executed. It wasn’t, and my beard trim was either as good or better than the Turkish one I got in London. It’s perfect. I hope it never changes.

Negative experience: Been a few months since my last haircut and I decided to splurge on a quality haircut experience. Website promotes a tailored cut for $55 and beard trim for $30 with shampoo, scalp massage, hot towels, etc. I booked a combo and was really looking forward to relaxing after work. My barber was very skilled and nice enough but after the haircut, beard trim & neck shave (electric razor), that was it - no shampoo, hot towels, scalp massage, etc. I heard good things about this place but after paying $85 plus tip, I walked out pretty disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Took my son here for a long overdue haircut. I love places with online booking systems, and this one works great. The men in my family dig the masculine vibe, and I loved the free beverage selection, even though I couldn't drink at the moment.

Fantastic experience: I had not visited a barber in almost 4 years. So, my hair and bread were pretty long. I figured it was time for a change and paid a visit here. I was totally unsure what sort of cut I was looking for and was hoping for a little advice. Kris was more than helpful. I got a great cut in a style that had not occurred to me and a perfect taming and trim of my beard. The staff, vibe and atmosphere of The Moose could not have been better. I will be making them my go to from now on.

Fantastic experience: I just moved to Nashville and was researching multiple barbers and salons within the area I work (Midtown). I came across The Moose and checked out their website and Instagram. I immediately scheduled an appointment and I met with Gemma. Gemma IS AMAZING and was great to talk with. She knew exactly what style & cut I wanted and I am pleased with the results. The other barbers were very friendly and I was greeted the moment I walked through the door. The waiting room is cool and next time I will take the whiskey offer!

Fantastic experience: So there’s a ton of fun stuff to do in this town. One thing as a guy who travels a lot and doesn’t have a razor. I like to get hot shaves. They always include free of charge, a fun adventure. Whether it’s was 1998 in JH when a sonic boom rattle the Tetons just after Mike lifted the blade. Fast forwarding to why I’m here. Tami Lee needs her own experience. I can safely say that this was my best experience under the knife. Just go you’ll be glad ya did. I couldn’t pick a particular treatment off your menu but I just got the “TLT” with a whisky to wash it down with. Tami Lee Treatment was fantastic and fun. Stay positive my new Gemini.

Negative experience: Booked this place to get a haircut for my wedding day. Very expensive for a very mediocre service. Got home to see the beard line was uneven and had to go back to get it fixed. The barber seemed very annoyed. I respectfully expressed my poor experience to the owner via email and they were super rude as you can see from their responses to the negative reviews here. Had to go to another barber before my wedding to get everything corrected. Can't believe I paid $100 for that.

Negative experience: Very cool location. I was amazed with how nice the interior was. There was a sweet puppy that made it that much more enjoyable. The atmosphere made it feel very relaxing. This was my first time here and I read great reviews about this place. I drove all the way from Murfreesboro for this experience and I was excited to try it out. I had a phone call right as I walked in and had to finish my conversation. There was someone in front of my checking out and someone came in after me to check in. Based off the interactions I could overhear while on the phone, everyone seemed really friendly. Once I was finished I walked up to check in. With it being my first time, I wasn’t really sure where to go. I wasn’t greeted when I walked up but I was offered if I wanted something to drink which I declined but thanked. I was told to go take a seat in the waiting room which I did. My appointment was at 11 and at about 11:07, instead of asking if I was ready or saying hi or my name, I was pretty much told to go upstairs. It seemed a little odd and I felt like I had done something wrong as the interactions were so short with the stylist and I. I went and sat in the chair and showed her what I wanted as I had an old picture of a haircut I had a while ago and wanted to try it again. When I showed the picture and tried to explain, she didn’t really say anything back and it felt a little awkward. When there was no response, I kept explaining it because I didn’t know what else to do. Lol. She asked if I wanted my hair washed and I hadn’t washed it yet so I agreed to it. When we were finished, she just walked away and didn’t say anything. Again, I felt like I had done something wrong or that it was an inconvenience for me being there. When the cutting began, she asked me if I had any plans for the day and I said not really and said that we just had twins a couple weeks ago and that I was trying to get some things done and that I was off for the next couple of weeks. She didn’t really say anything after that and it just kinda became awkward again. When all was finished, I checked out and WAS NOT offered a follow up appointment. My total was $55 and I tipped $20 and didn’t get much of a thank you afterwards. Very disappointing experience and not like it matters to them but will likely never do services with them again or recommend them to anyone else. It could have been an off day for her but her customer service skills were not present. EDIT: Just noticed how off the cut was from the left and right side. I just don’t understand how you miss something this large. It’s so hard to find a quality stylist in Nashville. Very disappointed that I now have to go pay someone else to fix this “upscale” barber shops mistake.

Fantastic experience: Second trip to The Moose was just as excellent as the first. 2 years ago Zack treated me right, and this time Brandon did the same - each in his own unique way. Their combo of talent and friendliness is what makes it a regular stop for me anytime I’m in Nashville.
