She did the most gorgeous partial highlight on me — the color is perfectly blended, bright without being brassy, and somehow looks both natural and glam at the same time. I’ve gotten so many compliments already! She really listens, explains everything, and makes you feel comfortable in her chair. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and her work. I’m already counting down the days until I’m back in her chair in 12 weeks. If you’re thinking about booking with her — do it. You won’t regret it!

Negative experience: I suggest you ask for a seasoned hair stylist if you happen to come in as a walk in. Came in today for a fade and a slight trim on top and was probably sitting in the stylist chair for a little over 40 mins. Very nice lady but it was obvious to me that she was not very comfortable cutting mens hair yet and was very very slow. I did ask if she could tighten up the fade on the side because my hair was sticking out way too much. She then proceeded to cut my hair but not blend in the sides lol. At one point she asked her manager to look at her work. He suggested blending it a little better which she then attempted to do but still came out patchy. This was probably the worse haircut I had ever received. I understand everyone has to start and learn somewhere but I come into Floyd's expecting a quality hair cut with whoever I end up with. In the end I decided not to remind her about trimming the top of my hair, paid and left. I went straight to another shop and had to pay another stylist to correct my hair. I didn't ask for another hair stylist at Floyd's because I didn’t want to seem rude which is why I'm not including her name in my post. Just sucks that I paid 50 bucks for a bad fade. The 50 included the tip I left.

Fantastic experience: Mary has been my barber for the last seven years. She always does a great job and is one of the few barbers who I’ve encountered in Texas who does straight razor fades.

Negative experience: I had a terrible cut here. I was passed to another stylist as I was in a chair of another one. The original barber said he couldn’t cut/ style hair, he only did fades. Then the barber I was passed to butchered my hair- I gave it the 5 day grace period to grow out. I had to get a second haircut to correct the hair cut received here.

Negative experience: I was a long time customer of their chain and came in this time after a great visit last time. This time I was told the barber was running a little behind. Waited a half hour and was never offered to have someone else. I think in most people’s books, a little behind is 10-15 minutes. Went to complain and they got mouthy with me. Very unprofessional. They understandably have a cancellation policy but if they are going to demand the same of customers, they should have respect for their customers’ time too.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in there is super welcoming and down to earth! Especially Patrick! He does amazing with my son(who is on the spectrum and severely ADHD) while cutting his hair and just being patient with him and dealing with him being fidgety and asking the 20 million questions he asks etc. never has any issues when my son shows any signs of stimming or just ready to be done. He talks him through everything step by step. definitely recommend Floyd’s for any services!

Fantastic experience: A friend reccomend Floyd's due to a great quality/price balance. My first experience with Floyd's was this location today. I came in for a mens mid fade with a half inch off the top and a neck shave. Harley was very friendly, professional, and gave me the best cut I've had in a while, to include more expensive barbers than Floyd's.

Fantastic experience: Okay, so I had to re-write this review. First off, it’s been 8 years since I’ve had a consistent barber. I’ve come to this location for around 4 years (first haircut post COVID lockdown). I’ve gotten lucky each time with getting my haircut here because I’ve never gotten a bad cut. Today, I walked in and got Will for a second time. This man is amazing. My hair turned out just how I wanted, he had the most genuine conversation with me, and I can say I am walking away with a new barber that I can count on. Will is a fantastic barber to have at this location because he makes you feel comfortable, relaxed, and that he is going to provide the highest quality service. If you’re someone who is LGBTQ or someone who may be anxious in social situations or just someone who hates getting their haircut, try this Floyd’s. Ask for Will. The location is friendly, clean, professional, and on time. I will always make the drive to this location and I will certainly continue to make the drive to see Will. Can’t speak highly enough about my experience here.

Positive experience: Whatever yall do, DO NOT let the young Mexican guy that’s station is on the right second chair to the last cut your hair! I told this guy I had an important meeting coming up and I needed a fresh hair cut and that I liked to spike my hair up, I told him I for sure did not want a Edgar haircut and that’s most definitely the way he cut it!! He did the total opposite of everything I asked him. Then he edged up my bangs after I told him in only wanted a little cut off and just to make it even. Then he went on talking about how there was some corners and that it would be uneven so he edged it up. Needless to say there was no way I was going to be able to spike my hair up now. I asked for a nice medium fade if I wasn’t so mad about how the top came out and looked at the fade he gave me right then I I would have been way more mad I didn’t notice untill I got home so I had to go back and get a re done luckily the girl that’s station is right next to his was able to fix it and she did very good fixing his mistake. That guy should not be working at a place like that he needs to go to barber school which he told me he only learned about cutting hair with scissors and nothing about giving fades so I’m not sure why they hired him in the first place he obviously doesn’t know what he’s doing. I hate to complain like this but he gave me the worst haircut I’ve had in my 32 years of being on this earth. I would trust my dog with a pair of hair clippers before I trusted that guy again. Whatever yall do ask for anyone but him. He’s the young Mexican guy probably 18-19, he’s the second chair to the last on the right

I have a son with texture hair and we are pleased. The manager on duty told me I'm in good hands to be at ease he is the best for that type of hair. I stayed calm and guess what I was impressed. Fantastic experience: been going here for over a year and never had a bad haircut. much better than great clips. great location in the Montgomery Plaza next to Gloria's tex Mex. this location is convenient and i always feel welcome and never have to wait more than a few days to book an appointment. 5 stars

Negative experience: I’ve finally decided to leave a review. I’ll try to keep it short. I had fairly long hair that I used to slick back, but I came in with the goal of cutting it shorter — I was tired of spending so much time styling it every morning. All my life I’ve heard: “Don’t be shy to explain to your stylist what you want!” Because people often end up with something they didn’t want just because they’re too afraid to speak up or correct the stylist. So I pulled myself together and explained everything! I even showed photos of the haircuts I used to have, described the shape of my head, and made my main point clear: I don’t want to spend time styling it anymore. I asked the stylist what they could recommend based on that… and in response, they simply opened Google Images and started scrolling through random men’s haircuts, showing them to me like I couldn’t have done that myself. Fine. I realized I wasn’t going to get any professional opinion. So I picked a short, slightly messy men’s haircut that looked low-maintenance. And what did I leave with? A classic side-part, medium-length, slicked-down haircut — the exact opposite of what I asked for! I asked multiple times to fix the issues I’d clearly pointed out beforehand, but eventually I just gave up. Now I’ve spent the last 3 days fixing it myself at home with clippers. Ironically, I originally came in to save time on styling, but this new cut takes even more effort than my long hair did! The sides were left way too bulky, sticking out horribly. I tried to explain this and suggested washing my hair to fluff it up a bit — thinking maybe then the stylist would finally see that I now had a triangle-shaped head. Thankfully, they got the point after the wash and started trimming the sides… But only on ONE side! Because the other side was still plastered down with long hair. So now I can’t even restyle it — one side is significantly longer than the other. Just a mess. Awful work. I’ve lived in many countries, and to this day I’m still amazed by how hard it is to get a decent haircut in the U.S. In Egypt or Turkey, you get a 100x better cut for $1–3 — here it’s $50 for… this. I’m never going to an American barbershop again. Ever. Final result: • I wanted easier styling. • Now it takes me 20 minutes longer to deal with it. • Back of the head wasn’t trimmed properly and keeps sticking out. • Can’t switch hairstyles — everything is totally uneven. • I’ve been cutting my own hair at home for 2 days straight now. • Do not recommend this place to anyone. Only plus: there was a sweet, pretty girl at the front desk. Minus: She was too nice to yell at anyone, so I just gave up and left it as it was.

Negative experience: Don't bother trying to walk in. Walked in here, every barber was busy but I was next in line. The lady at the register told me it would be a couple of minutes but they would be right with me. 45 minutes later not a single barber had managed to complete a haircut to get to me. It truly felt like I was watching a competition on who could give the world's slowest haircut. Skip the sloth exhibit at the Fort Worth zoo and come straight to Floyd's. Here they have neck tattoos and can operate clippers!

Negative experience: I recently visited Floyd’s 99 Barbershop hoping for a great haircut, but unfortunately, the result was far from what I expected. Despite clearly explaining what I wanted, the stylist didn't deliver the style l asked for, and the cut ended up uneven/too short/not as requested. I appreciate the effort #Stephanie, but I left feeling unsatisfied. Hopefully, this was just an off day, but I likely won't be returning.

Negative experience: Only been to this location twice since moving to the area. 1st time around scheduling and haircut went great. Scheduled a second cut and once I showed up (10mins before my appointment) and checked in at the front desk. I noticed the person I was scheduled with working on someone else. No big deal I showed up early so I didn't mind waiting until my scheduled time. After sitting and waiting for over 30mins I just left. I came on my lunch break and need to be in and out, which is why I make appointments. Going to find another barber around town because I don't have time to guess whether or not my appointments are going to be honored when I show up.

Fantastic experience: I had such a nice time here, I was really nervous as this was my first time getting my haircut by an actual shop in 4 years but it was great. Atmosphere was very nice, and Patrick who cut my hair was amazing he managed to do exactly the cut I wanted and was very helpful when I wasn't sure what would look best. Everything turned out great :).

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is amazing I used to just always be a walk in and get who I got which was never a bad experience. Extra credit to Jaz for just being the absolute best with my hair, she stops at nothing less than perfection every time, and she is an amazing person to be around. I come all the way from Mansfield despite having a location in Mansfield due to the atmosphere and stylists at the south Fort Worth location and I will continue to book with Jaz for as long as I can despite the extra 20 minutes it takes to get there. It’s hard to find one stylist let alone a whole shop full of people who can manage and cut my thick hair with lots of cowlicks and stubbornness

Fantastic experience: My old barber retired and I’m very picky on who does my cut. Floyd’s is down the street from me. I booked an appointment and chose a random barber.. well I ended up showing up about 30 mins early. Gunner took me in.. my hair was a hot mess and man… that man faded me up and got my hair looking right… he’s good with the clippers and the sissors… that man is a freaking pro !! I’m super satisfied! As long as Gunner works there… I will be a regular!!!

Negative experience: I understand being booked 45 mins before closing, but never in my life have I ever felt so uncomfortable with a haircut for one of my kids. Feeling of being rushed, no time wasted, no communication with parent, didn’t ask how much of trim I want cut off the top just did what he felt was necessary. Fade came out completely awful. (As you can see, unable to blend whatsoever) Whoever worked 8/11/24 an hour before closing,(red head with glasses) should be ashamed. Also whatever he sprayed, the “post haircut spray” on the back of his head, (with no warning for a 5 year old) sprayed directly into his eye, (which is still red and irritated) completely awful service. Definitely will not be back to this place. Now I’m going elsewhere to fix a haircut that one of your barbers did an awful job on. If ya’ll don’t wanna work 45 mins prior to closing, y'all need to make sure the owner is aware and prevents online booking. The hairstylist was clearly in a massive rush, like he had somewhere to be, going insanely fast. It’s a 5 year olds head. Literally..Completely disgusted at this service. Will never step foot into this place again.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for a while, great place, Gunner kills it every time. I just have a question, I went with an undercut yesterday and don't think it looks bad at all, the front and sides look great, but the back kind of looks like a bowl cut or a straight line across the back of my head, is it possible to get this blended in so it doesn't look like a line? Or should I just wait and let it grow out. I didn't know to ask for a blended back with this type of cut. Thanks!

Negative experience: Came in as a walk in. Talked to the girl at the front. To check in. I couldn’t hear her from the music and she was talking very soft. I said what was that? Sorry I didn’t hear you. She apparently got mad and did the same thing right back to me. Even though I was speaking up. Had a very unhappy look. I just said I’m good and left. First time and last time I guess.

Fantastic experience: So I've been going here for a long time. My haircuts have always been good, far better than great clips or super cuts but never great. I got my hair cut today by a gentleman named Wadi. This man cut my hair, while teaching someone how to cut hair (not letting them cut my hair, just showing them) and did it faster than most people cut my hair. It is the best haircut I've ever had. He was talking to me and the other person about cutting hair and you could tell he truly understands every aspect of cutting hair. I was legitimately interested in what he was teaching and I definitely don't have any interest in cutting hair. Go see Wadi. Just do it.

Had Myla dye and cut my hair today and she was awesome, she was super nice and friendly and made sure the color was exactly what I wanted before leaving and was very patient after our little battle of getting the orange out of my hair, 11/10 experience every time. Highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Patrick is the stylist that I usually see when I get my hair cut here. I have a habit of wildly switching up my hairstyle. All I do is bring a photo of what I want and he knows exactly how to make it happen (including color because he is a color specialist). Besides being great at his job he is also a very cool and kind person. Overall the rest of the staff is always very nice and professional! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I walked in here on a random Wednesday evening and received the best haircut I’ve had in maybe a decade. I gave minimal instruction, and my barber absolutely nailed it. The cost was $35, which is a steal especially in light of the quality. But the best thing about this place is that it has a really fun atmosphere that reminds me of bygone years when public places were cool and fun to go to. Please get your hair cut here. You won’t regret it. Best barber shop in Fort Worth, by far.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only been the the barber twice before when I was in high school, took a risk on a last minute booking and I was blown away with the service. Tuan gave me a ton of attention to detail and listened to what I wanted but also tailored it to suit me better than I could imagine. Awesome guy, excited to see where he goes with this career, it was obviously the right choice

Positive experience: Staff is nice and professional, but I noticed that they'll do the haircut but won't comb or do anything else with your hair like other places do. They do better than most places, but for the price, I feel as if they should at least comb your hair after and at least put some gel or something in it.

Positive experience: So let me start off by saying, if you're just looking for a haircut, then this place is ok, but after my last experience, I'm not going to give this place a third chance. The first time I went, the atmosphere seemed like they were cool and welcoming, but the front desk girl was pretty cold, as was the stylist. Again, the haircut was fine, but there wasn't much conversation, and it seemed like they just wanted to get me out as soon as possible. After I filled out a survey or wrote a review, I can't remember which, the owner contacted me and offered me a free haircut, which I accepted but told them I'd rather pay just a little less than get a free hair cut out right, because at the end of the day the haircut itself wasn't awful just the customer interaction. When I showed up for cut number 2, the receptionist was super friendly and kind, and I thought this time around things would be better. That was until I got into the barber's chair... the stylist greeted me warmly enough and then, with a serious face, asked me in a loud enough voice so that most nearby could hear "are you the guy who complained?". After that, the whole experience was irredeemable because why would you ask that? First, although my review was critical, I never said the haircut was bad and was just giving my honest feedback about my experience. Two, why would it matter? If someone complains or not, the service should be the same across the board. From then on, I kept wondering if I was going to get a bad haircut for accepting the owner's offer to give this place a second chance. To add insult to injury, my number one criticism was the staff were cold and didn't really interact with me, so tell me why my stylist has a full on conversation with the stylist next to us and their client, but says nothing to me? The only time we talked was when they asked me the clipper size to use on my sides, which I honestly didn't know because I've never really asked a stylist about it I've only showed pictures, thats all i did with the first stylist. After telling the stylist this, they would not cut my hair till I gave them a number... like why couldn't they just start with a size bigger than what they thought would be ok and if its still too long, just keep going down till we find the right size? I understand maybe they just wanted to make sure my haircut was perfect, but what if in my ignorance I said a size lower than what I wanted and it was cut too short? Would I just be blamed for not knowing better? In the end, just like the first time, the haircut turned out OK. When I went to pay, I was told the cut was on the house, which annoyed me, because we agreed for a discount, not a freebie. Since it was on the house, I tipped well instead, but even still, I'd rather paid like 5 or 10 dollars less than just be given a free haircut. At the end of the day, I just don't think this is the place for me. Again, the haircut was decent, and some of the other customers seemed to be having a good time with their stylists, so if you're just looking for a haircut, this place is ok.

Fantastic experience: I prefer to have the same stylist (I stayed with my last stylist for over 20 years...) & Stacy absolutely nailed my (somewhat complicated with conflicting requirements) haircut. She's a great stylist & I will hopefully visit her every month for the foreseeable future.
