The haircut and beard trim were both top quality. During the beard trim, she was precise, careful, and made sure everything was clean and balanced. You can tell she takes pride in her craft. She’s also super chill and easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience better. It’s surprisingly hard to find a shop in Fort Worth that excels at scissor cuts, and she absolutely does. Fantastic experience: I've been in the DFW area for 7 years and been to a lot of barber shops. Richard is the first barber the got all aspects of the cut right. Richard and Vanessa do a fantastic job and let's not forget about Colby and the amazing job he has done for my wife. She has coarse hair and it was extremely hard to find a salon that she could trust. Colby was able to find a style that my wife absolutely loves. Colby can tame my crazy curls with an amazing layer up and a blow-out that lasts for days with 0 frizz, when its not raining!!! Fantastic experience: Best experience, always. Every time I come home from Colby cutting my hair and styling it, my husband states that it's his new favorite style on me. Last Saturday was no different. Colby cut and styled my hair and I ran by my husband's work and he was thrilled with the results and said that this latest cut was now his favorite. As my hair grows out I get frustrated and want to cut all of my hair off. My husband always tells me go talk to Colby before you do anything. I highly recommend Colby. I highly recommend everyone at The cutting room. They are awonderful and talented group of people.

Fantastic experience: I am army and come from out of town to work at JPS for a few months at a time out of the year. I have been going to The Cutting Room since I started working out in Fort Worth. I have always had the utmost care when getting my cut. I am pretty easy going and understanding when it comes to people learning and gaining experience, which is honestly probably one of the things that drew me to the cutting room. I saw they had a tiered system based on experience and time in the shop. My first cut was with someone who was relatively new. I appreciated the conversation the dedication. But what really got me hooked was when cutting my hair my barber would turn to Vanessa for guidance and recommendation. I really appreciated the comradery. They took a look at her clippers to make sure there were no issues there. She walked her through improving her skills on blending a fade. Talked with her about using the come and how to gauge the length of my curls. Afterwards she turned to my beard. After she as Richard for guidance. Which I definitely under stand. I had previously had laser hair removal and as the beard started to grow in the treatments had taken their tole on how my facial hair grows in and at what speed sections of hair grow. Richard was a beast. A good as a mentor could get he helped her with hand position. How to rest her hand or a finger on my cheek or lip to get the right angle to get the line or cut. It wasn't just the first time. I would go again often choosing the new barber (again, I am easy going and understand people need to learn) and both Richard and Vanessa were always there to mentor their team. I have never left disappointed and my wife has never sent me back. Most recently I am PCSing out of the Texas area and made a point to stop one more time to get a cut. If I ever come back to DFW. I most definitely will be stopping in.

Before my cut, my barber (Justin) and I had a very detailed discussion on exactly what the final result will be, including each each step he will need to take to achieve the look. He then took his time to make sure that every cut he made was correct. In the end he made sure that the final result was exactly to my liking.

Negative experience: Really was debating on posting a review but I'm new to the area and looking for a new barber/hair salon. The hair cut was good, little pricy. The barber was nice. However, I had an eyebrow waxing service done and it was one of the worst I've ever had done. I had to come home and finish pulling out hairs with a tweezer. If this was going to be the case I could have just saved money and used tweezers at home. I don't think I'll be back here.

Fantastic experience: My usual is The Local near Sundance. I went to the Cutting Room after a 3 month hiatus. I got a haircut with beard trim and it was at least the same quality if not better. The shop was beautiful but I think they are moving from the Magnolia/May location to downtown. (Works for me) Vanessa is who I booked and I will return.
