He really takes his time, pays attention to detail, and makes sure the cut is exactly how you want it before you leave the chair. Negative experience: Do not come here, they do not listen. My son came in for a cut. He had pics for reference. He wanted layers on top and some kind of fade. It didn't even look like his hair was cut and for some reason dude only shaved his side burns and had so much sea spray in his hair it was sticky. Walked out looking like he had a mullet which is NOT what he wanted. We went to another barbershop to get the cut he wanted. Again NO, go anywhere else

Negative experience: Hopefully this review helps you to work on some things. You can't just play and mess with people's time. I showed at 4:45pm. I was told there is an opening at 5:15pm so I signed up. Interestingly there was another barber or two who were sitting around and they didn't get a client by the time I left. At 5:30pm I asked if I can still get a haircut. I was told that my barber is about to finish although she just started the fascial shave of another client. Manage your time properly or please just say you don't have a spot available.

Negative experience: I dont know how this place stays in business. Walked in today and there were 3 barbershop sitting there with no customers and they said they couldn't take me for another hour. Very weird business model. Went across the street and they actually had customers and still got me seated within 10mins.

Fantastic experience: I have been a loyal customer at Floyds 99 for over ten years. I always use the Floyds app so I can choose the day, the time and the stylist I want. I have chosen several different Floyds locations over the years and I always receive great service and haircuts with a shoulder massage, and a hot lather shave on the back of my neck wherever I am.

Fantastic experience: This last trip to Floyd’s was probably the best experience we’ve ever had. Beth cut my son‘s hair and she really took her time to discuss with my 14-year-old the options for his hair based on how much styling he does or doesn’t want to do.

Negative experience: Do not bring your kids here. After waiting for over two and a half hours with my 3-year-old son, the only option for his long hair was to shave his head completely. This was an upsetting and devastating experience for my wife and a complete waste of our time. The lack of skill or willingness to work with children's hair is appalling. We arrived for a simple trim/style and ended up wasting our day. The experience was unprofessional and a complete disaster.

Negative experience: The person who cut my hair is a manager. Waited 15 minutes past my booked time with no acknowledgement. They smelled heavy of cigarettes and gave me a very uneven cut. I went back the next day for a touch up and the stylist mentioned that the cut was "very uneven". The receptionist asked for a tip, didn't offer a refund and was quite rude. I would suggest a different location.

Fantastic experience: Amber. Ask for Amber. I’ve been to new York’s best, Connecticut’s best, and Colorado’s best barbers. I’ve also been very lax in going 8-20 weeks without a haircut. When I get a cut, I get a nice one. Today was a last minute thing, knowing I won’t find a great barber with time to “sculp” my hair within an hour or twos notice, so I went to Floyd’s, where I met Amber. Man she changed the game yall, you want that excellent mom and pop haircut, you want that haircut that makes you, someone who’s rather unfond of their looks, say that their hair is beautiful, go to Amber. And if you do go to Amber, CASH tips, and tip well god darn it! Don’t let her spend all that time and effort for a normal Floyd’s price. You’ll get good service, great conversation, a nice relaxing atmosphere and everything else you could want.

Fantastic experience: I booked a same-day appointment for a much needed haircut. I selected the Full Service cut with “any stylist”, so I had the best chance at getting in same day. Thank goodness I ended up with the amazing Lexxie! She was kind and informative without any judgement, asking specific questions that helped her understand what I wanted done. She didn’t force conversation but we ended up chatting most of the time. My haircut is AMAZING and feels so much better. The layers are perfect and the long bangs I asked for are just right. I’m happy and can’t wait to see her again in the future.

Negative experience: Don’t let the “Headliner” title or the glowing bio fool you. I booked an appointment with Courtney at Floyd’s 99 in Aurora based on her impressive profile—it mentioned years of experience with all hair types and textures, expertise in layered cuts, and a confidence in tackling client requests based on photo references. Naturally, I expected someone highly skilled, especially in layered haircuts. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. My haircut turned out poorly—my hair looks terrible—and I left feeling frustrated and misled. This was my first time at this Floyd’s 99 location, and I was shocked when Courtney casually announced she was done, ran her hands through my unfinished hair saying “ohhh yeah… looks so pretty,” and then walked away. I had to ask, “Excuse me, aren’t you going to blow dry it?” Only then did I learn that drying or styling costs extra at this location. I visited Centennial and they happily dried and styled my hair with no added cost (talking about Jeff) I still don’t understand why she didn’t dry or style my hair, even minimally, to ensure the cut looked right before sending me off. Looking at the photos the audience can assume why and so did I. I’ll leave it to others to decide whether to book with her, but for me, this was a letdown in both service and results. Definitely not what I expected from someone with a “Headliner” title. Edited this post so I can remind them - I was their 1:20 pm appointment name Adi, who had to wait for 20 mins because Courtney was working on someone else. What’s the point to book an appointment? I could have just walked in. Though i live far from centennial, i will definitely see Jeff to avoid ending up like this.

Negative experience: Appointment only. If you walk in you have to wait over an hour. Place is empty and 5 stylists all standing around. And you still have to wait an hour. I won't be going to Floyds anymore.

Negative experience: Let me preface with this, it’s been 4-5 years since I’ve been to a Floyds. I thought things would get better, maybe they brought in trainers or professional stylists/barbers to coach up their stylists/barbers, wrong. I went in for a haircut and beard trim today. I’ll admit, I gave the mirror a quick look before I left, I should’ve gotten a wash so I could see how it turned out! Got home, washed my hair and beard out. My neck line was crooked, my hair on top was blochy as if some portions were cut and others were not. I had a section on top of my head near the cowlick that looked like it didn’t get trimmed at all. I guess I had to wash my hair out to actually see the flaws because I obviously didn’t see it at the shop when they handed me the mirror. I have been cutting my own hair for the past 20 years on and off because it’s hard to find someone who can provide a decent fade without costing an arm and a leg. I had a busy week and couldn’t find the time to do it myself and felt like I wanted to do something nice for once. Now, I wish I would’ve sucked it up, and cut the hair myself, especially right before a vacation. You know it’s bad when you have to go home, fix your neck line, and take scissors to your own head to make it look better. I faded a lot of Marines in my unit when I was in the service, I am once again stumped that hair stylist don’t have the passion to pay attention to detail, especially with haircuts. I came in for a 7:05pm appt, waited till approximately 7:08pm, the haircut and beard trim was done at 7:23pm, that’s when I walked out. That should tell you everything you need to know about where the passion is with this organization. 15 minutes for a haircut and beard trim…… Either the barber schools lack quality training in Colorado or there’s no continuing training/education. Last time I was in, it was around 4-5 years ago, and the lady that razored my neck went over it like 3-4 times, left me a bloody mess. Granite, I got a discount and apology, still it goes to show that these people are not hiring passionate trained professionals. The only thing I like about Floyd’s at this point is their products. What does it take to get a decent haircut around here!

Fantastic experience: My son has had multiple bad fade haircuts across Aurora, and it was getting frustrating trying to find someone who really knew what they were doing. We decided to give Floyd’s a try—and we’re so glad we did! We were able to book a same-day appointment with the manager, Ashley. She did an amazing job! The fade was clean, sharp, and exactly what he wanted. He walked out of there grinning from ear to ear and said he wants to make sure he asks for Ashley every single time from now on. Negative experience: I have short hair and wanted it shaped up on the top and to let the bottom grow with a trim as needed. I ended up with very short hair on top along my part area, then noticeably longer hair (no blend). Then I'm not sure what happened. I asked her to do the sides (sideburns on a man). The gal cut them very short on one side and even shorter on the other? I don't understand what she was thinking. Even if I were a man, it wouldn't be a good cut. I left with very waxy hair slicked back like a man also. I won't be going back I received a call wondering what they could do to fix it? I spose that's a nice offer, but why did it go so bad in the first place? And why would I trust them to fix it? Someone would understand better the second time I ask? No thanks.

Fantastic experience: Joseline was so great she saw my 9 year old son who is bi racial and has really curly hair and she did a nice shaved cut with a line up and a slight fade she also included her opinion about the style which I really appreciated .I was very nervous going there but she was very kind and kept talking with my son and kept him laughing . It was a great time. I'll be back to see her she's very kind and wonderful !

Fantastic experience: Alisha is an incredible stylist. She remmebrs my cuts and ask for specific changes when I go in. She is consistently on top of her game and always delivers a great product for me. Courtney is another amazing stylist. She cuts the hair for my two young boys. They boys always leave her chair smiling and looking sharp. Courtney is personable, professional, with great attention to detail. Courtney cuts all three of my kid's hair and she is a Rockstar. My kids always look sharp thanks to her skills and outstanding attitude. I will continue to come back here for my cuts.

Negative experience: Horrible my son went in today to get a haircut the lady did such a bad job! The front is bad the sides are not even at all! Not to mention she told her manager I don’t know how to cut dark hair like what does that mean?! Then why did she accept to cut his hair? My son hates getting hair cuts I have to beg him to get a hair cut and when he actually goes this happens and he still got charged, and by the end she didn’t even clean up the hairs when he got home all of his hairs were in his shirt. Do not recommend this place at all I don’t know why the google reviews are so good you should see yelp.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my son's haircut!! We always see COURTNEE C who's AMAZING!! But we couldn't get in to see her before his date on Valentine's Day so he saw ALISHA H, the assistant manager and she butchered his hair!! It looks terrible! I feel horrible for my son! Negative experience: We have been here several times and had a great experience, until today. The stylist we saw who is apparently the manager as well, did a horrible job on my sons hair. Did not give him the fade He asked for nor would she cut the design into his hair, like 2 other stylists there have done the last two visits. She claimed only one stylist in the salon could the design ( a simple cross, 2 lines). Whatever. Super disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Natasha was amazing. My daughter has alopecia which leaves bald spots throughout her head. Due to fight sports and medical treatments she shaves the back. Natasha did a great design to help cover the spots! It gave my daughter confidence. Natasha is so sweet and understanding of her condition. My daughter really liked her and plans to return often.

Negative experience: Floyds is the new Great Clips. If you want a low quality cut with bad service, go to Floyds. Very unsatisfied with my cut and horrible scheduling, had to wait 20min after my appointment to get seated. I asked to leave 1 1/2" on top but ended up with a 1/2" military buzz cut. Rob (CEO) if you see this, this is unacceptable. I've been a long time customer and everything is just crap now. And based on other peoples reviews, seems like the only thing you know how to do properly is apologize. No one wants your empty apologies!

Negative experience: I booked a kids cut at this location with Lexxi, for my 3 1/2 year old son. The second we walked in, Lexxi made us feel UNWANTED and UNWELCOMED. My family and I walk in the door and we are greeted very poorly by someone who is more interested in their phone. Little did I know this lady was my son's Barber. My son had fallen asleep on the way to the appointment and was still sleeping when we walked in. When she is informed we are her client, there was no improvement in her attitude. She didn't introduce herself or even ask how we were doing, just immediately starting giving me excuses as to why she isn't comfortable cutting my son's hair. Luckily the receptionist picked up on this and quickly redirected us to a different stylist, Liza, and she was AMAZING. She accommodated the fact that my son hates haircuts and worked with us to get it done! Liza really went above and beyond to completely turn around this experience for us! Liza is the only reason we will return to this location. And Lexxi is the main reason why I wouldn't recommend this location. If your not comfortable cutting kids hair, don't make yourself available for kid cuts. That simple.

On most recent visit, the stylist was more concerned with gossiping about which of her colleagues weren't working than with actually cutting my hair. Negative experience: My first and last time here I was left with possibly the most uneven haircut I have had. I went to another salon and they recommended I shave my head. I was specific, a high fade two inches on top. None of that did I get. If I am lucky I was left with 3/4 of an inch or super uneven choppy hair on top and the side was a low non blended fade that had little rap ridges. I have been religated to shaving my head and wearing a hat because I am tired of people making comments about the extreme change.... 10 out of 10 wouldn't wish this place on even DJT.

Negative experience: People don't listen to you with what haircut you want. I would have been better letting a random stranger cut my hair off the street. No line up, no cutting my side burns off. I had to do all this myself when I got home. They push you in and get you out quickly, making it look like they just want money no matter what you look like. Not to make you look good with a good haircut. They don't stick with their appointments that are set. Worst place to get a haircut. My recommendation is to find a real barbershop, unlike this one.

Positive experience: Went in for a haircut and told the front desk person I was after someone that knew how to cut short mens hair specifically a flat top. Sat down in the barbers chair only to find out the only person in the salon that cuts flat tops wasn't there. So I asked the stylist since she wasn't comfortable cutting a flat top if she could do a high zero fade and leave an inch and a half to two inches on the top so I could spike it. After the sides were cut she asked about the top we agreed on a length but then she kept re cutting it. Results; I paid $40 and ended up with a relatively low uneven fade, the top is also uneven/choppy and at best I have 1/2 inch of hair left on top of my head. There is nothing to do now because it is so very short on top but shave it so it can grow out.

Negative experience: We strategically scheduled an appt for my son to get a fade close to his birthday so it would be fresh. We had a confirmed appt for Tuesday as his birthday is Thursday. Arrived 10 min early and checked in. Well I see the receptionists talking to a stylist and they were clearly talking about my 9yr old son as the stylist didn’t even try to act like she wasn’t staring at him. After a brief conversation the receptionists goes to the only other 2 stylist I saw in there and shortly comes back to me and said “Sorry, we will not be able to service him today. The stylist he was booked w/ doesn’t feel comfortable w/ his hair type.” My son is biracial (black & white)! How do you think that made my son feel, who just wanted a haircut to look nice on his birthday? How are you a stylist and don’t know how to do every hair texture? We have been going to this location for years, lost a loyal customer today!!!!!!

Made appointment. 25 minutes after appointment start time watching the stylists play / text / whatever on their phones obviously not caring about actual work - walked out to get to another appointment at 11. Complete incompetent and rude employees. Never again at this poorly managed location. Run away from this place.

Positive experience: I recently moved to Santa Fe. Heather is an incredible stylist,I felt she was attentive to my needs and excucted with the hairstyle I wanted(Duck tail low fade). I worked previously with a different gentleman who no longer works there . Part of the reason I am giving this shop 3 stars instead of 4 is because I consistently ran into the problem of being double booked. Is not the best barber place I have been too but not the worst. Just didn't like my appointment being cancelled the day of. Overall I would still Say is a good place to go to. Just double check your appointments about double booking.

Negative experience: The young man that worked the front desk was about as incompetent as you can get. I went in during my lunch break for a quick goatee trim and asked about the price. He looked up on the wall, then asked me to wait a minute before checking the price in the POS system. This next part will blow you away! I said that price sounded good and can I be seen by someone now since it wasn't busy. He said, oh, well, everybody is at lunch right now and asked if I could come back tomorrow. Here's the part I was referring to earlier about being blown away ... Not one single customer was in the establishment, only one lady that worked there who was sweeping. Go to another Floyd's and skip this one and the attitude.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the services provided at this establishment. I have visited Floyd's Barber Shop several times in recent years, and unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently disappointing. The issues I have range from subpar haircuts to unprofessional customer service. Despite making appointments in advance, I have always faced lengthy delays upon arrival. The waiting times are unreasonably long, and it seems that even with an appointment there is no regard for customers' time. Moreover, the quality of the haircuts I have received has been far below my expectations. On multiple occasions, the staff at Floyd's Barber Shop have failed to deliver the requested medium skin fade, often leaving the top section uneven or improperly blended. I have even gone so far as to show pictures of the desired haircut, but the results have not met these expectations. In addition to these issues, I was disappointed to find that I was greeted with the wrong name during my recent visit (I was greeted with Conner when I corrected the barber that it was Cameron, and they responded with I knew it was a C.) Attention to detail and personalized service are important aspects of the customer experience, and such mistakes only add to overall dissatisfaction. I believe that there may be some room for improvement in terms of time management and attention to detail during the haircutting process. I hope that they can work on refining their services to ensure a more consistent and satisfying experience for all customers.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this location for about 4-5 years and I have NEVER been so disrespected by the staff there. I gave a very generous tip of about $80 for a certain stylist on my last cut. He is no longer there for “unknown reasons”. and unfortunately the barber got very offended for having my wife there after I was sarcastic about saying, “don’t mess my hair up, my wife is here”. Then proceeded to kick me out….

Positive experience: Booking online is pretty easy and reliable, so I don't recommend walk-in appointments. Their "Headliner" stylists are usually awesome. The only complaint is that the hair products seem overpriced.

Negative experience: Had an appointment set for noon, arrived about fifteen minutes early because I was already in the area, expecting to be seen at 12 or earlier if I was lucky. Several people who came in after kept getting called before me. When asked, they said they were going by when appointments were booked. If that is true, people were showing up late for their appointments and still getting in. At 12:40, I finally told them to cancel my appointment and left.

Negative experience: Just received the worst haircut of my life from "Amie". I asked for a very simple #2 on back and sides, basic side part haircut. What I received was kinda that, but what I didn't realize until I got back into my car, is that she had taken it upon herself to do a "line up", the very worst lineup I've ever seen anyone do on anyone. She cut almost a full HALF INCH into my hairline. Why she decided to do this without asking me I have no idea, but she made me look like an actual idiot. I immediately drove to another barber to have them do their best to fix it. Did not expect to spent $100 dollars on a basic freaking mens cut today!!! On top if that, she was extremely unpleasant. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, attributing her demeanor to the possibility that she was just having a bad day. But after the atrocity of a haircut I received, I really don't care. Now I'M having a bad day. I have been patronizing Floyd's for years. NEVER AGAIN!! I can't believe I paid for this monstrosity. Not only will I never return to Floyd's, I will steer away anyone who's thinking of getting a haircut there. I'm sure that anyone who reads this will be able to feel my anger through the screen. Fantastic experience: Nothing but a great experience. I took my husband and three sons here and they did such a great job! The haircuts are always on point and they are friendly. I even started going here myself! I get a reverted bob and sometimes it’s hard to find someone to do the cut the way I like. So I tried it and the results were amazing I booked a second time with Allie and again I love the results! They generally always have open appointments the same day. Price point is average and fair. They also give a little back massage after a men’s cut/shave to keep up the old times.

Fantastic experience: Been really happy with the last two cuts I’ve gotten at this Cornerstone (Parker & Arapahoe) store. I’m 52 with thinning hair up top, but quite a bit still on the sides and back, and the stylists knew exactly how to style it. And they used a scissors and not just clippers. Both were friendly and long time stylists. Definitely worth the trip and $$ in my opinion.

Despite scheduling an appointment for 6:15 PM to align with my son's practice, I arrived at 6:05 PM only to be met with a promise of being attended to shortly. However, this assurance proved empty, as I found myself still waiting by 6:35 PM, forcing me to leave without service to pick up my son. This completely defeats the purpose of making an appointment. It's frustrating and unacceptable, especially when time management is crucial. This branch is by far the most disorganized and inefficient Floyd's I've ever visited. Their lack of respect for customers' time is appalling.

Negative experience: Went for a hair cut a couple days ago. I’m a guy with short hair, so pretty simple stuff. The person who cut my hair didn’t know what a point cut is. That should have been my first clue. Every hairstylist knows what that is. Anyway, my hair ended up getting totally jacked. Talking with the assistant manager on duty, it was made known to me that the hairstylist is used to cutting hair for people with course and curly hair and that they’re getting him into training in a couple weeks. What? They have someone cutting hair who hasn’t been trained? I didn’t realize I was going to a training school. Floyd’s has really gone downhill at this location. The stylists used to be very good at what they do and you could count on a decent cut no matter who you got. Now it’s hair roulette. To their credit, they offered to try to fix my hair for free, but I can tell you it’s not going to be the cut I wanted, my hair is too jacked up. I can get just as good a cut at sports clips and pay $13 less. Once my hair is “fixed” I’m not coming back.

Fantastic experience: I just moved here and didn't know where to go. Everywhere had at least some sort of consistent negative reviews , this place was just a few blocks and my lord is it amazing ! I don't ever write reviews , in fact my first one. I love the "is this a good length" before cutting , the neck shave and everything ! I even forgot my wallet and they waited until I got it back. Negative experience: My fiancé scheduled his appointment 1 week in advance. They called and asked if he could move his appointment an hour up because they were behind but he advised he could not do that due to a prior engagement. We came in 10 minutes early for the appointment and saw 2 other people get called ahead, though they showed up after we did. At 40 minutes past our appointment time they advised us that he was skipped over by mistake because he was marked as a "no show," though he literally checked in at the front upon arrival stating his name and appointment time. Complete waste of time. What is the point of having an appointment system if you can't keep to the schedule? Upon explaining our concern, the female black stylist with glasses was completely rude and abrasive, with total lack of customer care.

Positive experience: Typically the hair cuts are good but not anything better than other places. More expensive and a bit finicky on their respect for people’s time. Very strict on their 5 minute late policy but will allow their hair cuts to last over an hour for a simple hair cut or make you wait definitely more than 5 minutes. If you’re going to chase someone off for being 4:30 late maybe I should get a refund for an hour long hair cut. Was going to let that slide until this second strike.

Negative experience: I have never posted a review but this ticked me off! I got there at 3:46 for a 3:40 appt. I know that I was 6 minutes late and as soon as I got in there was someone paying for their haircut that was having trouble. I waited until 3:49 for me to be next to talk and when consulting the front desk they told me since I was 10 minutes late they are no longer able to take me. Most of the time when I’m there 5 minutes late I still have to wait 10-15 minutes to get out in a chair anyway.

Fantastic experience: Dominique is awesome. My daughter always gets a cool new design shaved on the side of her head before her big kickboxing fights and this experience was by far her favorite design.

Positive experience: Lisa T. is always on point with my haircuts. Always good conversation and actually listens to what you want done. The only star missing is due to making the appointment with scheduled services that never show up on the ticket...a minor grumble.

Negative experience: I have attempted to use this establishment three times. One reason after another on why they can not provide service. Keep in mind they have plenty team members sitting around on their cell phones. I assumed business wanted you to spend money with them …. Today was my last attempt to give this company money! Good luck

Fantastic experience: Estrella V. Has done a wonderful job cutting my hair multiple times. She always seems to succeed where others have not. Very polite, friendly and skilled. She is the reason I come to Floyd’s. I would give her services a 10/10. However I am disappointed that Floyd’s has shortened the time of there cuts from 30 to 20 minutes. I feel like 20 minutes is not enough time.

Positive experience: The location itself is alright. I've had several cuts here and the quality has varied depending on the barber. Standard stuff. DO NOT get your cut done by Dominique. She didn't listen to my instructions on length at all and did whatever she wanted. She did a terrible job and her version of "fixing up a cowlick" is to take a trimmer to it with no blending. It looks awful. Her trimmers also kept getting caught in my hair and were borderline painful. I should have left the chair early on when I had the chance. Haircuts and neck shaves should not hurt.

Fantastic experience: I have crazy, curly hair so it’s hard to find someone who can cut it the way I like it. Kendra helped me at Floyd’s, and she is amazing! She gave me exactly what I asked for! I have a whole new hairstyle that I love!

Fantastic experience: Full service appointment with Kendra B. today. She was so fun to chat with. She whipped my sad stringy split-end past my shoulders 6-month hair style back into shape. (Ignore the “over 40” grays, I didn’t ask her to do coloring, but she would have if I let her. Maybe next time.). I am pretty sure I now look at least a few years younger. Highly recommend! I have had great cuts and even a Great Clips disaster fix at this Floyd’s location.
