My son was looking so handsome. Not only is he a great barber, he has a great personality. Customer service was top notch! We will definitely be going back. Syn gave my other son a haircut and he came out looking so fly! My son showed him a picture of the style he wanted and Syn delivered exactly what was in the picture, that takes real skill!. My son was so proud of his look! he walked out of the barber chair with so much confidence. My son actually insisted on going to Syn because he had heard about his talent from a friend. Even though his schedule was tight, Syn still went out of his way to accommodate him. His customer service is truly top-notch! Bazooka is simply the best barber shop to be in!

Negative experience: I got a taper fade from a gentleman and I got an itchy bad rash, must have been old razors, I had to seek medical for antibiotic cream… won’t be returning! However whenever I saw Mayra she was incredible!! I followed her to lifetime fitness in allen :)

Negative experience: I am a first time customer to Bazooka Charlie's Barber Co. in McKinney; visited today as a walk-in guest and received services by an older gentleman, cannot recall him providing his name however in looking at the staff members online, it appears to be the asst. manager. I wanted the Alpha, however he said he would only have time to provide a haircut. I ended up paying $55 for a haircut and neck razor shave. According to the website, that service is $45. As I was leaving, he told me that I should book online so they can provide me with all of the services that I would like. I still left a 38% tip because he did do a great job on the cut however I feel that I should have only paid for the service I received. Not certain if I will come back. Response to owners response below: I appreciate the reply, but I want to clarify that my review was not about the barber’s skill—I specifically said I was happy with the cut and tipped accordingly. The issue is the lack of communication and customer service throughout the visit. Your staff did not explain the pricing difference, did not clarify what service I was being charged for, and did not communicate that walk‑ins are difficult to accommodate on weekends. If your shop is too busy to support walk‑ins during peak times, that should be clearly posted and communicated before a guest is seated. Guests should never have to guess what they’re being charged for or why certain services aren’t available. Your response also implies that my review was unfair or retaliatory, which is concerning. Feedback from customers—especially first‑time customers—should be taken seriously, not dismissed. Ultimately, customers keep your business running, and ensuring they feel informed and valued should be a priority. Have a nice day!

Her fades are engineered, not cut. Clean, intentional, and flawless. Somehow, she delivers a perfect cut with a comedy set. Expect real conversation, nonstop laughs, and an unexpected ab workout. Don’t let the gothic exterior fool you. Inside she’s basically the Easter Bunny… and inside that is a flail. In the best possible way.

Fantastic experience: Was my first experience coming in and was pleasantly surprised that they offer 1 free complementary drink, alcoholic and non alcoholic. The environment was clean and has a theme of military focus, but the staff was relaxed and friendly. I randomly chose Syn and was pleased with the amount of effort and detail given to the fade of my haircut and can see that everyone there is fairly skilled in their craft. Initially was a bit pricey but if you choose to go with a monthly membership it greatly reduced the cost which is what I went with. I plan to go back and try each person 1 to see who my right fit maybe, but I'm confident each person will use great care to making you look your best.

She will listen to you vent and talk your woes while giving you exactly the cut you're looking for. What more could you ask for? I have NEVER had a bad experience with her and she's been my go to for when I become a shaggy dog. When im messed up (style wise and letting my hair and beard get away) she has ALWAYS set me straight. Don't know what I would do without her

Negative experience: Booked an Appointment online. Brydon said he doesn't have time to invest 45 mins on the haircut as the this type of cut will take time and instead you come tomorrow. I already drove 25 mins for haircut. Wasted my time. I canceled the appointment they scheduled for next day. Not going there anymore. I wont recommend anyone to schedule online because this is something ridiculous that you got schedule for a service and the stylist doesn't have time. Giving them 2 stars because once had a cut from therr and that was fine.

Syn was my barber and did a great job giving me exactly what I wanted even when I didn’t quite know how to ask for it. Negative experience: I just called to make an appointment and the gentleman answered the phone by saying hello and I responded. Yes I would like to make an appointment and then the phone went silent in about 2 1/2 minutes later a woman got on the phone and said this is May how may I help you and I said yes ma’am how are you doing today and she responded how can I help youso I responded you cannot I will call somebody else who understands what customer service services and hung up the phone so they just lost a customer

Negative experience: I booked a 9am appointment, which is when the shop opened. As I walked in, nobody greeted me, so I sat down and waited. Shortly after, Brayden poked his head out, already seeming irritated, and told me to come on with an annoyed tone. It had been a while since my last cut so my hair had gotten unruly, but as soon as I sat down he remarked, “You’re going to make me work today, aren’t you? If you’re going to make me work then I don’t have time for this.” When I explained I just wanted a trim to keep things tidy while growing it out, he responded, “If you’re wanting to grow your hair out I don’t know why you’re sitting in my chair.” The whole exchange left me feeling awkward and uncomfortable. I understand barbers have busy days, but there’s no excuse for treating any customer, much less a loyal client who’s followed Brayden across shops this long, with that kind of attitude. Brayden cut my hair well, but the appointment felt rushed. Sadly, I won’t be returning to him or this location. Customer service and basic respect go a long way, especially in a business that depends on relationships and loyalty.

Negative experience: I scheduled my son for a haircut last minute and they were able to get him in for that time, which was nice. My issue is that online it says $27 for a kids’ cut and when I went to check out, Mo or Manny (can’t remember his name), said there would be a $5 extra fee since my son got a bald fade (he has gotten these for years and have never been charged additional for this) and then he said actually it will be $7 extra. Then said it was because his manager told him to do that… even though I was there the entire time and he did not talk to his manager. Wouldn’t recommend due to lack of transparency and pointless up charges.

Third, being a vet I kind of enjoyed the posters and the Halloween decorations were cool too. Mayra was amazing. We had a great conversation back and forth and her attention to detail when cutting was extraordinary. Shes literally the best I ever had. This was the first time in years that I got out of the barber chair and was fully happy with my haircut. I didn't have to ask to go over anything again or nothing, she was picky for me.
