Fantastic experience: When you go to Tims, you are going to get the Barber shop experience you only see in TV. From the aesthetics/decor to the conversation it was the coolest Barber shop experience I have ever had. We talked about rock n roll and golden days. The shop has been there since 1926 so you are entering a sacred relic of a place where you get to take a trip back in time with the vintage soda machines and coolers. Tim is a great guy who loves everyone and you really feel it when your in his chair and get to talk to him. I thuroughly enjoyed my haircut experience going to Tims.

Positive experience: Less expensive than the swanky barber shops, but you get a mediocre cut. And he hacked at my eyebrows without asking if I wanted them done. Tim also talks so non stop my ears were ringing when I left.

Negative experience: Do not go here if you care about your hair. If you don’t care, it’s the perfect shop for you. The owner, Tim, never stops talking and doesn’t listen to anything you say. He just does what he wants. It’s unfortunate because he is the face of the business. Some of the girls there are great. I’m shocked he’s still in business and anyone goes there. In addition to myself, he has messed up many of my friends hair; that didn’t know NOT to go there.

It was a little pricier than I would have expected at $60 but having used my razor to trim his hair before, I know his puts a lot of wear and tear on the equipment so can understand some of the cost. Style wise though, 100% awesome job. Best he has looked in years. Repeat visit, he stayed after hours and hooked me and my friend up.very nice guy and good prices. Take the time to stop by, it is worth it.

Positive experience: Whenever I go here to get a haircut, I just show up. Tim tells me each time that I should make an appointment with the app that he uses. So I use the app to make an appointment but when I show up there, the place isn't even open. Tim's a good guy though and he cuts hair well.

We called Tim and he said he was booked also, but still took the time to squeeze him in under tight circumstances. Was very polite and nice guy, really good at cutting hair and just all around great atmosphere of a barbershop. Tim being so considerate is what makes him the best barber around.

Fantastic experience: Tim usually closes at 3 and it was five after when I pulled up. As a senior and Vietnam Vet I figured I’d have to look elsewhere BUT Tim saw I was a vet and told me to come in. He made me feel welcome, gave me great haircut at a reasonable price and gave me a bottle of cold water. Even though he had business elsewhere, he took care of me. You don’t find that kind of service and customer care anymore but you do at Tim’s Barber Shop!

Fantastic experience: I have been looking for a good barber ever since my last (and it was his last) haircut. I have driven by Tim's for years living in St Pete but my schedule just never seemed to work until yesterday. The best thing I can say is my wife loved the cut (keep the Mrs. happy!) and so did I! Negative experience: Truly disgusted by owner's (Tim's) behavior. I visited St. Pete Frame shop next door. They share the parking lot in the back. I had a home depot rental truck to pick up my frame. As I was exiting the parking lot making a uturn, Tim came running out waving his arms in the air saying "GET OFF MY LOT"! I slowly rolled my window down (mind you I'm in a home depot truck rental) and have him a quizzical look because I had only been there for a few seconds. I asked what the hell he was talking about and that I was visit the shop next door and parked in their lot. He explained contractors are using his lot to do business in the adjacent homes. I told him, he didn't need to speak to me that way. He literally yelled "I'm being nice to you"! I proceeded to tell him I was considering getting a hair cut at his shop, but not now to which he replied "oh I'm going to hear this now". Don't go here. A critic summed it up nicely.... "narcissistic dirt bag"

Fantastic experience: I did not get to go to Tim's recently as the shop just happened to be closed, and I did not make an advance appointment. Tim did return my voice-mail, but my spontaneous need could not wait. I know I missed out on a great experience, good conversation, and a great men's haircut. I had just discovered Tim's shortly before I moved back to Nashville in 2010, and I loved Tim's Barbershop. It's an "original" shop with old-time barbershop chairs and a great vibe that caters to men, as though it were good to be a man. I trust it has not changed. This is a concept shop that looks like the inspiration for a successful franchise. But, skip the strip malls. Tim's Barbershop is the real deal, gentlemen! You will look and feel great, just as you should.

Fantastic experience: Tim does an amazing job. A very friendly atmosphere, and very affordable. Tims has that old school feel with new school capabilities. He always gives me an amazing cut, and I had my 12 year old step son who had a mop for hair. Tim brought it down and made the kid look great. His mom and I thought our son was not going to like the short hair, but low and behold. Tim did so well on his cut the kid loves it.

LISTEN...with that being said....if you're an uptight person that takes yourself, your life and everything else way too seriously go elsewhere. He is a great guy and likes to have fun. He's great at what he does and doesn't take half of your 401k for a cut. Everyone else that cuts hair wants an arm and a leg for a cut that grows back in 3 weeks. Fantastic experience: This man knows what he’s doing. I am not one to give a 5 star rating but time and time again I get the highest quality haircut and beard trim. He is experienced and super personable. If you’re into a classic, new age, or anything in between barber give Tim a try. You won’t be disappointed. I have been in the area for years and tried several barbers before. I noticed Tim stickers on many vehicles in Pinellas county and gave his shop a shot… won’t go anywhere else. Not only a quality hair cut, but a master of the beard! He is currently a one man show due to changes thanks to Covid, but the quality has remained.

Fantastic experience: Tim has been my go to barber since I arrived in Saint Petersburg. Always friendly, withe great stories of his years as a musician, and excellent skills with the haircuts. His walls have the awards he's won as best barbershop from Creative Loafing, and you can see why. I'll be back soon (though not soon enough for my lovely bride, who wants me to get my hair cut more often).

Fantastic experience: Tim is the most amazing guy ever. I called him and was super awesome explaining when he could get me in a different day. He called me back to squeeze me in to take care of every need haircut and beard trim. He is super positive and I would recommend anybody I know to go there.

Positive experience: Good setup, by appointment only. Solid COVID precautions if you're into that. Tim is very talkative and friendly. Quick service. My only gripe is he doesn't take credit. Debit is accepted... as in you can use the ATM to withdraw cash. So please be prepared, bring cash to avoid ATM fees (I got a double fee, one from the ATM and one from my bank)

Fantastic experience: Got a fresh fade from Tim that rivaled my barber in NYC. So much so that I'm actually writing a review. Excellent at his craft. Great service, hospitality, conversation, etc. We talked about art and compared his work to my work. Good vibes all around. Very clean and socially distant protocols were great. LGBTQ friendly, I felt safe and comfortable and even got some complimentary swag. Thanks a ton Tim. Will be back when I'm in the area again.

Negative experience: Good haircut and good conversation but when Tim asked if I wanted a sticker to advertise we said sure and then by the time my fiance and i were done talking to each other he was outside putting his sticker on our jeep wrangler soft top window. It took me and hour to take it off and now our soft top is ruined. They cost 1500 plus. Beware of the sticker I should have made him pay!!!
