Negative experience: Cool Heads Barbershop? More like Cruel Heads Butchershop. I have been here several times but never have I had such a butcher job as I had with Ashley. I showed her a picture of myself with a previous cut that I wanted recreated. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a side fade with a bit more length on top and a part on the side. She ended up giving me something more like an undercut, but only on one side, and an uneven fade all around. And when I say uneven, I mean chunks of hair sticking out, and the back rounded on one side, square on the other. Embarrassing to say the least. I called to complain, and to the salon's credit, they did honor the redo policy beyond the original 3-day timeframe, as I work in aviation and have been out of the country for the past week. Now onto the fix. Chadi was able to blend the hair to a point that I will be able to comb myself properly, at least until it grows out to the length I prefer. It is much shorter than I asked, but I'm not expecting a miracle here. I understand what he had to work with going in. My problem with Chadi is that he decided to take a chunk of my eyebrow out as part of this redo cut. I did not ask or give him permission to trim anything on my face, nor did he give any warning before doing so. And only on one side. So now I have lopsided eyebrows from what was supposed to be only a haircut, and once again I leave coolheads with an embarrassing style that I did not ask for. Chadi, why would you take the liberty of cutting a chunk out of my eyebrow as part of a haircut? Stick to what was agreed upon. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location again. Edit to respond: so after everything that happened you are now calling me a liar as well. Since Chadi seems to be denying the fact that he took a chunk out of my eyebrow without my express consent, I can only infer that it was done maliciously. The pics I have included were taken immediately upon arriving at home & assessing the damage done by your "stylist", as can be seen by the fresh clippings still on my face. Why would I butcher my own eyebrows just to spite your business? Your accusation does not make sense. It's no wonder your stylist turnover rate is so high. If you are a client considering this salon, do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!

Negative experience: I have gotten my haircut here about 6 times with a couple different barbers. Most have been amazing and great, but this last week I got by far the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life. Some of these barbers shouldn’t even work here considering the cuts are quite expensive some of the barbers rush through the haircut like it’s a race. I wanted a slight trim and told the barber to use scissors only and he ignored my request. The dude gave me a buzz cut I did not ask for. Definitely my last time coming here. It should be the other 4 times the barbers were great.

Negative experience: This has got to have been the worst haircut I have ever received. So much so that I am embarrassed to even walk outside. I have spent months growing out my hair, trying to work towards a specific LONG haired cut just to have it SHAVED OFF. I explained the cut, even showed a video of the look/ the barber actually doing the haircut and immediately my person here cut it all off. I won’t ever be returning to this location and probably not ever this company again, I’m embarrassed to even show myself in public after this. Normally I am always the person who thinks “it will grow back” or “it’s just hair” NO. This was awful and the more than the exact opposite of what I asked and gave examples of.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my haircut experience. I asked for a mid fade, but the barber seemed to cut randomly without attention to detail or care. He took off much more hair than requested and showed poor judgment throughout the process. To make things worse, he nicked the back of my neck with the trimmer, leaving a small cut that actually bled — something that has never happened to me before. For $55, this was a careless and unprofessional job. Definitely not worth the price.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: MONDAY 10/6/2025. Jesseca was amazing as well. Even as a walk in I was treated very well and I walked out greatly satisfied with my cut today! She textured/fixed my hair in a way that has never been done for me too! I recently started going to Cool Heads but this was my first time at this specific location. Taurino was great! I was able to explain to him about what I normally get and that I wanted a suggestion of what to do this time and he was able to give me a great cut and conversation! Thank you Taurino!

Negative experience: Update to review for this location 10.6.25: Even though riverside butchered me, and unable to find another salon, I called las colinas location and got an appointment with Jessica and gave them another shot. She had trouble getting me in the system, and said 12:30 but made it for 12. I called back to verify and the girl who answered wasn't sure and that Jess would call me back. Jess did call me back, but just to tell me that she remembered the issues I had with riverside, and asked me not to come in and canceled my appointment. I was begged by the location manager to give them another shot, then when I did, I was dismissed as a customer. I even had discounts in my profile for the issues the riverside location caused. No men should go to this company, regardless of location. It is ran terribly stylists, low quality, horrible customer service and doing not deserve any patrons. The BBB should be notified of these establishments and investigated. April 2025- Nice place and very accommodating. My stylist was very nice. I got a good haircut and great shampooing. My only issue is he did cut my hair shorter than I wanted, and shorter than we discussed. Much shorter. He mentioned he would just take a little weight out of hair I had grown out for months, but instead, he really just got it off the entire back of my hair. I was disappointed that it wasn't what I really wanted, but it did feel nice afterwards and it is sitting nicely when styled. I plan on going back when I need another trim, but will be extremely vocal on what to do and not do. If it happens again, I wouldn't return.
