Negative experience: Walked in for two mens cuts, was told we can both be seen, then when it was my turn was told that I could not be seen. Mind you, by the time he said this, other locations were closed. For the one of us who did get a haircut, it was not worth $40. We will not be returning.

Hi Cody, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are really sorry about the experience you had during your visit. Being told that both of you could be seen and then finding out later that we couldn’t complete the second haircut — especially when other shops were already closed — is understandably frustrating, and we apologize for the inconvenience that caused.

After looking into what happened, it appears that one of our newer barbers incorrectly estimated that there was enough time to take both walk-ins. That miscommunication set the wrong expectation, and that’s on us. We’re addressing this internally so our team is more careful about timing and availability when accepting walk-in clients. We had a surge of walk ins on Sunday as one of the few barbershops open on Sundays and we were unable to communicate correctly between walk ins and appointments.

We’d really appreciate the chance to make this right. If you’re open to it, I’d like to offer both of you complimentary haircuts with one of our veteran barbers so we can give you the level of service we strive for at Headlines Barbershop Northdale. Fantastic experience: It's very rare to find a barber that you can trust cutting your hair and have good vibes with. It is even more rare to find an Asian barber in the Tampa area that can understand Asian hair and know the current style trends, etc. Thankfully I found Luke Woo, he was very professional, meticulous and gave good advice on what haircut/style I can do next time coming back in. I pay very close attention on every little detail on what barbers do, especially when it comes to cleanliness, clearing hair out of my face (shows that a barber cares and keeps it clean) and of course how well they cut based on face shape. Luke Woo did a great job executing all of that and I will be coming back again.

Fantastic experience: Might feel like spam reading these reviews but Luke Woo is the real deal for barbers. I did a lot of research trying to find my next barber who besides mastering fade technique for thicker hair, knew how to work with scissors and working with cow licks to get the right style. Luke didn’t disappoint. Crazy amount of passion you can get from his understanding and questions he will ask about how you want your hair cut. Overall the shop as a whole is great as well. Other barbers are friendly, shop is clean.

Negative experience: My 14 yo son has had long hair and came in for a transformation cut with Kendrick. We told Kendrick that he didn’t have any idea what he wanted, but that he wanted it shorter and to look like a stylish boys cut. We looked up pictures and my son found one he liked and the cut began. During the cut, Kenrick was talking to my som and deviated completely from the picture based on “his preferences” — of which it was already stated that he don’t know what looked good and didn’t understand style. The end result was absolutely horrific and was the worst haircut I have ever seen in my life. In no way was it stylish, or even remotely a professional haircut result. We tried to get him to fix it, but he kept blaming my son for his “preferences” and he immediately had someone else in the chair already. He then proceeded as asking me what MY solution was for it. He was extremely nervous about getting his haircut and we told him up front that my son’s biggest fear was leaving looking bad /- and that’s exactly what happened. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there and get a haircut from him, and am appalled that he let my son out the door looking like that. My son left in literal tears. After paying $100 for the cut, we are now having to go to an extremely expensive salon to fix the butcher job.

Fantastic experience: First time to Headlines over in North Dale. Luke you did a great job my man, listening and understanding exactly what I was looking for.
