Negative experience: Terrible place to get a haircut for walkins, told the barbers I am a walk in and proceeded to wait for 30 min with no communication from anyone. Just flat out terrible customer service and communication from establishment. Highly advise to avoid this particular headlines new tampa location, all barbers here look at you nepotistic ways on who they cut and lazy.

Fantastic experience: I rarely ever put up a review but I had to come here and let yall know that I have been seeing the barber Zussete and she’s absolutely amazing. Takes her time to find out what you want to do with your hair and gets you right every time. I never feel rushed or pressured in any way. Book her to get your hair done right!!!!

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with Zussete. Midway through the haircut, she literally said, “It’s not my fault if the haircut doesn’t come out the way you want it to,” which immediately made me uneasy. At the end, she charged me $40 and claimed she had to charge extra because I walked in and “caused her other client to leave”—even though she was the one who chose to take me. Totally unprofessional. Felt like I was being blamed and overcharged for her poor scheduling. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could leave zero stars.

Now theirs a lot of locations and I can imagine they’re all great and, all get great reviews. I came across this barbershop called headline in New Tampa back in 2014, and since then I’ve been a loyal customer, and as the years have passed, I have become more than a customer. ALL Staff Members, past and present WE ALL have became friends, and family, and there’s no doubt this barbershop is a place that makes everyone feel like family. Every Staff Members treats everyone with respect and equality, and we all talk about family, sports and everything else in life.So I recommend this place to everyone , not because I go there, but because, if you’re looking for a place that’s professional, and friendly, and ALL Staff members are amazing with their barber skills, you’ll come in as a Stranger, but , you’ll leave as family. Negative experience: Single handed worst hair cut I have ever received in my entire life. Christian Perez needs his barber license taken away from him. Dude didn’t even line me up or ever get around my ears, and still charge me $30 when I literally wasn’t even in the chair for 10 minutes. This is seriously the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten and I’ve been to well over 30 barbers. But the shop does look nice.

Fantastic experience: I’m a “young “ 75 and I just had the best hair cut ever. Ariel , besides being a nice guy, used his skills on my face and head to achieve the look I wanted. Highly recommend. One last thing. The vibe in this shop is hip and cool. Also saw the work of other stylists and without hyperbole I can say everyone leaving looked great.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place, the atmosphere and decoration is on point. I love the Tampa Mural. The place is clean and all the staff is very attentive and welcoming. They all are very professional and detailed focus. Chino, Orly, Max and Zussete are amazing (they cut my hair before) but I can tell all of them do a great and professional job!

Fantastic experience: Great barbershop, they have about 10 male barbers and 1 female stylist. One of the few barbershops that include a female stylist and they get mad points for it . You can walk in and get a cut but for the volume of clients they see, it’s highly recommended you have an appointment to be seen , they do a great job at staying on schedule and getting you in and out, but also keeping the attention on you the entire time and making sure your cut is done right. I normally take my kids to the headlines down in Carrollwood however decided to try this location out. The ambiance was good and relaxed, music was upbeat and chill. They are bilingual speaking English and Spanish. All of the staff is friendly. Highly recommended coming here

Fantastic experience: I’ve been cutting my own hair since the pandemic. Today was my first day back at a barbershop. Came into Headlines as a walk-in, and saw Willy. I waited a little, but that’s to be expected since I didn’t have an appointment. It was a very busy but very clean barbershop. I gave a very brief description of what I wanted and left the rest in his hands, and that was the absolute best thing that I could’ve done. Willy is such a great barber, He pays so much attention, even to the smallest details. He knows exactly what he’s doing. I’d also like to add that a brush slipped out of his hand and onto the floor, that he was going to use on my head, and he cleaned it and picked up another one to use. Something I definitely appreciated. I will definitely be booking another appointment with Willie.

Sat there for 20 minutes waiting for a haircut while 2-3 barbers were joking around and were not with customers. They told me they couldn’t see me since they had appointments that didn’t show up even after I left 30 minutes later….nothing like good customer service

Fantastic experience: Headlines New Tampa is a great shop. I have been going there for about 2-years and always get a great cut from Max. The shop is always clean, with one of the barbers taking the time to sweep up the hair for everyone whenever they have a break. The appointment service online is the best so you can plan your day and drop in for your appointment. I have never had to wait when an appointment was set, they are always ready to start your haircut when you arrive at your set time. The best part about the New Tampa shop is all the barbers and their welcoming personalities. When you're there getting a cut the talk about sports or joking with each other takes up the room. You also get to hear about the barber's interests and hobbies outside the shop. Max is a world-recognized balloon artist able to create over 900 animal types of balloon animals. Ant is not just his name but he also creates ant farms that have won several Gold ribbons at the Florida State fair. Ramos is a specialized lizard raiser who gave the world the gift of the Geico talking lizard (sometimes he even has one of his lizards in his shirt pocket hanging out watching him give cuts to customers). Lastly, there is Jorge the shop's Usain Bolt who will challenge anyone to a foot race as long as he doesn't lose his footing and eat some pavement. Make sure to come by New Tampa Headlines to get a great cut and have a chance to meet these amazing barbers who are there to help you with all your style needs.

He was focused and precise in my cut. Very verbal and ensured I got exactly what I was looking for in a cut. Definitely recommend this spot. I don't trust any other shop with my hair. Negative experience: Kendrix no called no show me. Waited at shop for 20 minutes and left. I was then notified I was charged for a no call no show. The barber then told me he was there and didn’t see me when I sat in the chair in the shop for 20 minutes. I was still charged for $50 fee and didn’t receive any product or service. This was over a 30 minute drive and it was a waste of time and money.
