Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommended! After living in New Zealand for 3½ years, we were really looking for a good barber, especially a fellow Filipino barber. As Filipinos, we know how hardworking and skilled our kababayans can be, and we always take pride in the quality of our work. When my partner first told me about Marketans Barbershop, I honestly thought, “Oh, it’s quite expensive. Maybe I should try another barber.” But after he finally had his appointment on June 3, 2026, I completely changed my mind! The haircut was excellent, it was clean and we absolutely loved the result. Because of the great experience, my partner and I booked another appointment for August 13, 2026—about two months later. From my experience, I would highly recommend Marketans Barbershop. It’s not only about the barber’s highly skilled work, but also the care and attention he gives to his customers. He takes the time to give good advice and genuinely looks after your hair. On top of his skills, he has a great personality, a good father, friendly and respectful, and most importantly, he is a God-fearing person. We are very happy to have found such a great barber here in New Zealand. Definitely worth the price and definitely worth coming back to! 5 stars all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Had my haircut here last Saturday and it was a great experience. The owner/barber was very welcoming and took the time to assess my hair and understand the look I was going for. He also explained what would work best and how he planned to cut it, which I really appreciated. My son felt so taken care of, Mark explained every step of the way, asked how he wanted his hair cut, explained the equipment and ensured that he won’t get hurt (my son never had a razor cut). Fantastic experience: My sons and I have been coming to Markentans Barbershop for few years now. In my personal experience, i’ve already had few kinds of hairstyles as per my request. The stylist could provide his expert opinion on what kind of cut that would make look good on you as he gives analysis on a client’s facial features and hair texture. I also have a little one who is quite anxious when having a haircut. I made the right decision to bring my son to this shop, because the stylist was very patient and he gave reassurance to us parents and my kid.
