Negative experience: Felt rushed and cut was very average. If you don’t have time to do the cut then just say so. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re wanting a buzz cut.

Fantastic experience: So my brief to Craig, was make a silk purse out of a sow's butt. The bloke is a bloody magician! I've now found the ultimate blokes barber. Cool music too, just saying . So HIGHLY recommend!

Fantastic experience: I went to Benjamin Barkers for the first time today. They were fantastic - great haircut, efficient, good chat, nice environment, fair price. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: The haircut itself was alright, though a bit uneven and messy/chopped up since the barber would sometimes randomly attack it with the scissors like there was a spider in my hair and he wanted to kill it. The right side is better than the left - they look quite a bit different and not symmetrical. It’s not so bad that I’d need another barber to fix it up but it was definitely the strangest experience I’ve had in a barber shop. Super aggressive and fast yet it still lasted half an hour. The price was pretty cheap but I would’ve paid 2-3x for a smoother cut.

Fantastic experience: I came to Craig with an uneven haircut from another barber, and he did a brilliant job fixing it. He blended and reshaped it so well that you would never know there had been a mistake in the first place. Professional, skilled and friendly. I highly recommend Benjamin Barkers Barber!

Fantastic experience: 2 years ago I was in Nelson, needed a haircut and found this Barber shop tucked away in a little barber shop near Kathmandu shop. Was a great haircut and good chat... I'm back in Nelson and the barber shop was gone.... Was walking down Bridge St looking to get a haircut somewhere, walked into Benjamin Barkers and there he was.... The same dude who cut my hair 2 years ago.... Really great haircut and really good conversation.... I recommend Benjamin Barkers Barber 100 %.... Highly recommended...A great cut from an excellent MAN's barber! I hadn't combed, or brushed my hair in years and he found the part straight away and went to work. Came out perfect! Fantastic experience: In Nelson yesterday with my 12 yr old son when we spotted a barber sign, son mentioned he wanted to go to a barber instead of the usual convenience places (Just Cuts etc) so in we went. Long story short you now have a customer for as long as you are operating! Kid absolutely loves his new cut, the self confidence boost in him was massive!

Fantastic experience: Craig is unreal, a master of his craft. Having just relocated, I was on the lookout for a barber for my upcoming wedding. I found Craig, had one cut and a great yarn - before he offered to close the shop early, to host, cut and shave my wedding party the day prior to my wedding. Great vibes, perfect cuts and a decent jam on the Switch, too. Best barber I’ve been to in NZ, as long as he and I are in Nelson - this will be where I get my hair cut!
