Fantastic experience: Amazing experience here. My little boy refused to have his hair cut after many traumatic attempts at home using our clippers when he was younger. I was very worried but I went here based on FB recommendations for difficult kids. Ajay was incredible, talked him through everything and did a wonderful job making him feel safe and comfortable. He looks amazing, it went very smoothly and hes already asking when his next haircut is. Thanks guys :)

Positive experience: Went for a buzz cut and beard trim. Lovely staff, nice, chatty and polite however the cut was pretty quick and I feel they missed the mark on attention to detail. I still have tufts of long hair around my ears, looks a bit uneven (can see long and short hairs on my head). I would expect the same level of detail someone with a lot of hair would get with someone with not so much like me.

Negative experience: I think when you go to the same barber on regular basis you lose the value. Unfortunately I've been there 3 times, they did a good job & 4th time not sure if it's because I'm a regular customer or because the barber was in a bad mood, haircut was done very badly & very unfriendly. Sad on their part. Definitely will not consider in the future.

Fantastic experience: It's more than just a barbers shop! I don't often get my hair cut in Nelson but I had this place recommended by a friend and went. Coming here was an experience, it feels more like a den or a hub, everyone had very friendly and they even have beer. The haircuts are also a cut above!

The reason I was not entirely happy today was because I had the feeling things had to go really really quickly. I just had the feeling that other customers were more important. And therefore my haircut and beard trim just turned out to be not nice as there probably could have been. I would have been happy to agree to the previews reviews. Cheers.

Fantastic experience: What a great stroke of luck to be in Nelson this morning and drop in to the Barbers on Nile between appointments for a haircut. I was able to park right outside (FYI they are on the West end of Nile St, near the Rutherford Hotel) and Gary did a fantastic job, for an great price. I'll certainly be a repeat customer.
