Fantastic experience: Jessy does a fantastic job every time with my young daughter’s hair. The toy-car chairs are a fun distraction and she loves the toys in the kids play area. One of the only places I know in Athlone that can happily cater to give haircuts for children with autism and DS. I also get my own hair done there too as she does women’s hair too (it’s not just a men’s barbers!!)

Fantastic experience: I brought my son today to get his hair cut he hates barbers but He was absolutely fine today , I have to say it’s the best experience we have ever had with Michael as Michael has down Sydrome and would never sit for anyone before but he sat no problem for Jessy today, Highly recommend this place ❤️

Fantastic experience: So good with kids. Went in with my 4 year old to get his first cut and Jesse was brilliant. Had my 2 year old with me too and she had lots of toys to keep kiddies entertained. Very pleased with the cut also. Was recommended by a relative of mine who brought her 1 year old and he was so comfortable there too. Highly recommend ❤️❤️

They listen carefully to what you want and give good advice if you are not sure. The haircut was exactly how I asked, clean and well finished. The service is friendly and the price is fair. Fantastic experience: Jessy's barbers is a wonder kid friendly studio with two kids friendly chairs toys Jessy is amazing with kids nervous kids she takes her time and works with the difficult hard to cut 4-5 years on our kids are looking to go back because of their own memories and Jessy remembers the difficult times even took few photos by the Xmas tree to celebrate, thanks Jessy boys will be back

Fantastic experience: Today we went to the lady with our 4-year-old son who doesn't like haircuts, clippers, scissors or anything related to hair. I didn't think we would get anything done, but I still had hope. The lady did a top-notch job, quality and fast. I recommend her to anyone who has a problem with children's haircuts.

Fantastic experience: My 2 boys always get their hair cut here with jessy. She is fantastic at her job. The salon is well equipped with toys for smaller kids. I always recommend jessy to friends and anyone that has come to this salon always say same thing. She is the best. My oldest son also got his hair dyed here with jessy and we were so happy with the results. It's just a pity the school won't allow him to keep the pink hair

Negative experience: Hi I came here few weeks ago the woman working was nice too me in barber shop but I wrote a review like a week ago or two ago just few days after I got highlights saying I wasn’t happy and I wasn’t happy because I paid 60 euro which in my opinion and most of friends a opinion the highlights weren’t great they were un noticeable I had 1 patch of blonde on my hair but she said that I was the 1 ringing her with my friends shouting and stuff but I wasn’t doing any of that she rang me telling me to delete review and being very rude on phone and I just told I went somewhere else to get them redone which I did and I was honest to her and said truth and I cancelled the appointments I made twice because I was thinking because she was charging me another 50 on top which I already spent 60 here I went somewhere else and its better it’s what I wanted

Negative experience: Hi I know a friend who got highlights here and he wanted them badly and he went anyways and when came back to be honest with I could barely notice it wasn’t great at all and he spent 60 euro on it here and then he wasn’t happy with it so he went some where else and got it done for 50 way better job I was going to go here but now I think I won’t I reckon my friends should get a refund or at least half the money back because I know some one who went some place and they got there highlights and they weren’t done right at all and he got his refund and the barber apologies

Fantastic experience: My son is severely autistic, severe sensory issues, he hated getting his hair cut and most barbers refused to cut his hair I just randomly came across Jessy's barber and I took a chance hoping she would give my son a chance, two years later and my son is still Jessy's client she welcomed him with open arms and although he was scared and cried she wasn't afraid to cut his hair, she is so calm and understanding and even cuts his hair in the comfort of his stroller because it makes him feel safe, I highly recommend Jessy she really is a lovely lady and thanks to her my son is no longer scared of getting his hair cut he actually really enjoys it, thank you Jessy

Negative experience: Sorry to leave a bad review but I was very disappointed. I got a tint and lash lift, but my eyes look the exact same before and after. She said that it wasn't obvious on my lashes because they are short but I had lash lifts done multiple times in different places and my lashes looked amazing and lasted weeks. Also my lashes and eyelid were covered with dry glue that I spent the next couple of days trying to take off.

Negative experience: I walked in today and I had HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE… I asked the lady to hair cut as the picture shown, she said I don’t know to do it and started to cut hair in her own way… Even while she was as cutting, she was laughing and making fun with the fellow workers as my English was bad and not able to tell her what I want…. She was literally not concentrating on hair cut and just finished in 5 minutes… DEFINITELY NOT SUGGESTED TO GO THIS PLACE….NO RESPECT TO THE CUSTOMER AND This is the worst hair cut I ever had.... Edited: This is the first time I'm walking to your shop. I don't have any grudge on you to Lie or spread Negativity... You guys are lying because I visited alone not with my friends...and you are lying that I said I liked the haircut.... Actually I visited to have both haircut and beard cut....the way you behaved and cut my hair...I immediately decided to stop proceeding with beard cut.... Learn to behave with non Irish customers....

Negative experience: Lovely aesthetics in the barbers. Very clean but the gentleman cutting hair is brutal. He asked me how much I wanted off the top and had about half an inch in-between his fingers and I said yes, I was happy with that. I made it very clear I didn't want much off the top and just a little tidy up. Absolutely butchered I got. He just kept cutting and cutting and cutting. €20 for it. Really not ideal when they can't take basic requests

Negative experience: Just got charged €30 for my little girl's haircut. NO wash & dry, just a quick cut ! ‍♂️ Been here plenty of times before and was charged €18 which i though was steep already. Won't be returning at those ridiculous prices....

Negative experience: I am leaving your barbers a very honest review on how disappointed I am. I had to pay someone to drive me 40 minutes to get to your barbershop to get my sons hair cut which I had booked in for 4 o clock 6th July only to get down there and be turned away and told that Jesse isn’t working today . If that was the case than Jesse should not have took the booking in the first place or at the very least should have contacted me to cancel . Awful awful service !

Always happy with my haircut (thanks Danijela), staff is professional and relaxed, they pay a lot of attention for making kids relaxed while having haircut. But most of all, I haven't seen customer who did not leave happy and that says a lot, and much more than any review. I know I wouldn't change it for any other hairdresser in Athlone (and been in a few).

Even the waiting area is a play area, which made for an easy job to wait. the car barber chairs mean he stayed put and sat still. The staff were so friendly from start to finish. Will be telling everyone i know and recommending Jessys for kids hair cuts. Thanks!
