Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Ali Barber, since moving to Milton Keynes about two years ago. I’m quite fussy with barbers and tried a few places around MK before finding them. Even when I first started going, it was actually quite far from where I lived 15mins, even though there were barbers closer to me, I was more than happy to travel to Ali barber because the service and quality were worth it. The staff are all very personable, friendly and welcoming. It’s a relaxed place where you can have a laugh and a proper chat — not just a quick in-and-out haircut. They take the time to get to know you and always make you feel comfortable. Over time they’ve even checked in on how things are going in my life and offered support and advice during tougher periods, which really shows the kind of atmosphere they’ve created there. Every barber I’ve had there has done a great job, and I’ve always left happy with the cut. It’s a genuinely welcoming environment and not like your standard barbershop. Highly recommended.

From day one, the team went above and beyond to help him feel comfortable and get used to regular haircuts. Now both of my boys sit through their cuts with no issues at all. The service is consistently excellent—for my hair, my beard, and my kids’ hair. Always a great experience, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality and care.

Negative experience: Definitely not the haircut i was looking for my 15 month old. I specifically said not to use clippers and he’s been left with bald patches on the back of his head, not straight cut on his neck, Hair it’s all over the place. I only wanted for them to use scissors.

Positive experience: Always take my 6 year old Grandson here for his haircut as he has issues with environments and noise but is happy to come here . But being charged £18 for a child’s haircut instead of the usual £14 because they had to use scissors is a bit extreme. Will think twice next time .

Negative experience: Avoid this place – they don’t care unless you’re a regular. I wish I’d read the low-star reviews before going in. Got passed off to someone clearly inexperienced (and oddly, the only one not in uniform). When I questioned it, the owner jumped in and rushed the whole job – skin fade done in 5 minutes, no hot towel like everyone else was getting, no attention to detail, didn’t even brush off the loose hairs. Felt like I was being hurried out the door. This place might look the part, but they’re all about speed, not service. If you’re not a familiar face, don’t expect to be treated with care or respect. Won’t be going back – they don't deserve the custom.

Negative experience: Been there a few times. Posting this after what will be my last ever visit. Treat customers like cattle. The barber looked like he was doing me a favour by giving me a haircut. No conversation, rude, no respect for the customer. Did the job like in a massive rush in less than 10 mins. When I asked to cut a bit more, he did it with a grudge. Maybe other barbers there are better hence the good eating overall. Anyway I am done with the place.

Negative experience: Hate to say it but these guys just aren’t that good. I’ve had 2 stinkers here out of 5 attempts - and by stinker, I mean patches of the side of my head being shaved to the skin which just look like mistakes. I get clippers on the back/sides then haircut on top - pretty bog standard. I’ve also had patches of hair not cut altogether on top. It just always seems so rushed. I’d accept it being hit and miss if it was £10 a pop but £16, i just think it needs to be better. *Edit 17.10.24 - bumping this down to a 1* having just seen the laughable owner response. Lying about my hair length, nonsense about Bradford... Bizarre. It's as if you don't think anyone's had their hair cut anywhere else before haha. I always tip if it's a good haircut, so maybe you should read between the lines next time one of your customer's can't wait to get out the door to assess how bad the damage really is...

Negative experience: I think I just had the worse haircut I have ever had. No fringe, no style and long hairs visible in the buzz cut. The barber seemed more interested in speed over quality, even though not busy. At £16 not the cheapest either. Will not go back. Can't comment on the more experienced barbers.
