Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with my haircut. I asked for a mullet and clearly expressed my opinion, but the barber didn’t listen and rushed through the cut. The way he treated me made me feel uncomfortable, and the result was not what I wanted at all. I felt unheard and dissatisfied with both the service and experience. I respect your view, but CCTV will also show I only asked for a small trim on the left side and reminded not to rush. As a paying customer, I have the right to express how I’d like my haircut. I wasn’t rude, only concerned about the result. I’ve visited before and had good service, but this time felt different, which is why I shared my honest review.

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience at the barbershop! Rahimi and Adam paid close attention to my haircut and ensured I was happy with the results. They even offered refreshments, which was a nice touch. The student prices were only £12, which is a fantastic deal compared to other barbers! I haven't found any barbers as good as this place! They do walk-ins, so you can turn up whenever you want!

Negative experience: Went in here twice now for my two year olds hair cut. Asked for no clippers as he doesn't like them and I didn't want it too short but both times they used them. I showed them a photo of what I wanted and they completely ignored what I wanted. His curls have now gone! It's an alright cut but I'm not happy that we got something completely different.

But for me, the trauma came at the hands of a barber— scissors gleaming, clippers humming, with the air of casual confidence that only foreshadows doom. What began as a routine trip to the salon quickly unraveled into a spiral of devastation, as my dreams of a stylish transformation morphed into a living nightmare. My haircut was not simply bad-it was a disaster. No, worse than that. It was an act of aesthetic violence, a massacre of follicles, a bald betrayal. I had stepped in with hope; I left shorn of dignity, identity, and the will to look in a mirror. In all seriousness, I wasn’t too entirely sure on how to have expressed my feelings to my haircut at the time. It looked nothing like my reference photo. I didn’t know how things ended up the way it did, but I’m sad to say I’ve lost a lot of confidence in how I look and feel towards my looks.

Negative experience: Went in with a mullet being grown out for the last 6 months, asking to specifically keep the shape and just skin fade on the sides. Came out with a skin fade back and sides. Mullet completely gone. On the plus side, £2 discount for the inconvenience.

Negative experience: This used to be a good place to do your hair-cut, but they have gone down in professionalism in recent times. For instance, they have stated an opening time and closing time on their website of 6 pm on Weekdays, and 4.30 pm on Sundays. But on two different occasions in the last couple of months, they were closed without notice, despite being more than 30 minutes earlier than their official closing time (on one occasion I went there at 5.30 pm, but there was nobody there; and on another occasion, they were already closed at 4 pm, despite their official closing time being 4.30 pm on Saturday). Also, whenever you call them, nobody ever picks up the phone (previously they would always respond to a phone call, but now they never respond when you call on the mobile phone that is provided).

Fantastic experience: I have been searching Coventry for a great barber for a while. After moving out of Birmingham where I had known my excellent barber for years, I had tried a few different barbers in Coventry and was underwhelmed with the haircut (I usually have a fade, where the shape of the cut is the difference maker to compliment my face shape and so the cut is nice and sharp). Then I found this barber. Both barbers here are great. They are very nice people and every haircut from them (5 or 6 now) has been spot on and very reasonably priced. I am confident giving them 5 stars.
