Negative experience: Late for 10 minutes and they did not take me in. These guys expect everyone to be on time as they think we catch a flight. Had an hair cut from Dan while ago and he didn’t care to cut properly but instead he was focusing on getting the next back on seat.

Fantastic experience: Wow. Having owned a beard for over 30 years I have been left disappointed by so many so called barbers who claim they know how to cut and style a beard, until now. Rob at Dashing Blades did a fantastic job on restyling my beard, exactly how I wanted it. The proof in the pudding is always the morning after. A quick brush through and the style was there, even after a shower. The same can be said with my hair cut. If you own a beard you should give them a try. I'm so glad I did and I'll be back again for sure!

Fantastic experience: Rachel has been brilliant with cutting my teens hair and taking time to listen to what they want. The teen doesn't like the atmosphere of a lot of traditional barbers and is happy they've found a place where they feel really comfortable. Recommended to a friend who has sent her two boys to Rachel as well and they've said it's the best hair cut they've had.

Fantastic experience: Visited dashing blades today, I was very nervous as I have grown my beard for the first time in forty years and the barbers I visited for the first time absolutely butchered my beard which left me not wanting to go to a barbers again. A friend put me on to dashing blades and I thought I would give it a chance and I’m glad I did! what a great place, nice people and rob was fantastic he listened and gave me advice and the outcome was exactly what I was looking for, will certainly be returning.. would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Visited today for the first time, had a booking with Rob who was punctual and had good conversation. I asked what he recommended and he did a fine job. The shop has a really nice old-worldy feel to it which I liked. It was a bit more on the expensive side to what I would normally pay but you get what you pay for. After asking for recommendations on beard oil rob showed me what they had and I purchased one which I can confirm is very nice. Will be back in future.

Fantastic experience: Very easily one of the best barber shops in Coventry. Highly skilled and friendly staff. Once you try them out, you’ll definitely come back regularly. It’s a bit hard to find appointments so I’d recommend booking well in advance. There is a free (small) parking lot nearby.

Fantastic experience: Had a good experience here today. I normally leave the clipper massacre cut of Ball Hill looking like a drill sergeant. It was nice switch to the sublime today. Fantastic experience: This was my son’s first visit to a barber and Rob was amazing, my son has long hair and is quite shy, but Rob put him at ease. Not all barbers are good with long hair on men, but Rob totally understood what was needed and my son loved the result. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this place! I've lived in the Coventry area for the last 10 years now and these guys by far give the best haircut in the area! They are all super friendly and the service is top notch. I would especially recommend if you have longer male hair or have an interesting style, because unlike a lot of other places they know how more styles than just "short back and sides"! I also love the fact that it's online booking, it's super convenient for me and means I avoid fitting in a queue for hours on end!

Fantastic experience: I headed in for an impromptu haircut (didn't book) they advised that they take bookings and were fully booked out for the day but then one of the staff said he could quickly squeeze me in for a quick haircut before his next client was due to arrive, The customer service was second to none, haircut was really good and fast, lovely clean and unique style of decor throughout the shop and fair priced.

Negative experience: Had a 'hot towel shave', they used an electric shaver first, but then still managed to leave a ONE-INCH cut on my face, fabulous. And of course, they still charged me the full amount. DON'T GO THERE.

Fantastic experience: My son was very traumatised from a previous attempt at going to the hairdresser's, to which he was cornered with scissors and he ended up kicking and crying. We avoided them for years afterwards. I rang Dashing Blades in advance and explained the situation, they didn't seem phased and encouraged me to book but with a longer appointment just in case. My son viewed them all online and chose to book in with Cal. Cal was nothing but patient and gentle with my son. He was quick to relate to my son and helped him feel at ease. He really took his time and checked with my son before he did anything. Now he is happy to go there any time and always sits nicely. He's had 3 haircuts there now and I'm really proud of him, and really grateful to all at Dashing Blades for working with my son to overcome his fear. He has had his hair cut by Rob, who was just as lovely with him, but Cal is his favourite. I know this place has loads of good reviews, and they are all well deserved. Fantastic experience: I've been visiting Rob at dashing blades since they opened in fargo ! From the very early days when it was just Rob to the amazing team he has with him now the service I received has always been first class ! The time, effort and attention to detail is faultless.. always made to feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble, Rachel's even stayed late to make sure I had a trim before a holiday you'll not find a better barbers in Coventry or Warwickshire.

His hair was below the lower back long and Rob cut his hair and completely restyle it At the beginning when we walked in we bouth were nervous my boy was literally shaking as it was a massive change and he didn't know exactly what he want, Rob came to us he comfort my boy and they had a good half an hour conversation about what my boy wants his hair to look like, my son end up with amazing hair cut and when we was leaving my boy had the biggest smile on his face We are definitely going back at the end of the month Thank you! Fantastic experience: I was welcomed, from the cold, with wide open arms. Rob, the owner of 'Dashing Blades' was there with his broom cleaning up hair from the previous customer. Eyes locked on me, a slight smirk and a twinkle in his eye. I could see how excited he was to work on my hair. It had been at least 3 months since my last visit, I was starting to resemble a badger. One that had rummaged too much in the rubbish bin. However Rob's slight smile remained. No matter how rough I looked he was prepared to cut my now grey streaked beard. With a gentle pat on the chair I raced over. I pondered what conversations we would have this time. Booked in for a hair cut and hot towel shave, I knew the session intended to last about an hr. Rob, softly spoke, 'what can I do you for today?' 'Same as always?!', my voice went into a slight incline as I pondered, was this an question? Or was I trying some lame attempt of witty banter? Honestly it was a bit of both. Would Rob even remember me from 3 months ago? 'No problem!' Rob exclaimed and picked up his very unique scissors. 'How you been? I haven't seen you for at least 3 months?'. HE REMEMBERS, he remembered me! 'Yah, fine.' my endeavour for witty banter had stopped, my shield had been dropped. I was relaxed again. 30 minutes had passed, conversation was flowing, my hair had now been transformed from what could politely called a mess too something my wife would appreciate looking at. A smile creeped on my face. 'You're really good at this.' That was it my cringe talking was back. Rob broke out a small chuckle and started to work on my multi coloured mane. With the hot towel pressed against my face, I was transported to another world, maybe another dimension. This place was even more calming than the one I was in. Slowly feeling myself drift off to sleep, the now cooler than hot towel was taken away. It was time for the close shave. I can tell from Robs demeanor he was serious, concentration came over his eyes, he was focused, in the zone. Rob lurched forward with the blade? Hair was leaving the outside of my body. I can see the blade, the residue of hair on the paper towel everytime he cleans it. But it didn't feel like a blade. Everytime he embraced my face, it felt like a soft sponge against my skin. I didn't want it to end. But it did.. 'How you think you look?' Rob questioned while circling a mirror around the back of my head and under my beard. 'Beautiful?!' Was that the right answer I thought? Yes, yes it was I am beautiful again. It was all down to Rob, the miracle worker. I got up off the chair and marched to the till. 'Thank you, Rob.' I said, with a slightly cracked voice, a small tear rolled down my now smooth cheek. 'No problem, will I see you again in 3 months?' He asked me, that grin he had been wearing since I walked in now had turned into a smile. He was happy with his work and now so was I. 'Of course, definitely.' I exclaimed. With that I proceeded to give Rob a huge hug. Headed to the door looking like a new person. Confident, smiling and thinking I could take on the world. Thank you Dashing Blades.... Thank you Rob.

Negative experience: Went in today at 17:30 for a simple haircut, booked with Rob. Came out 15 minutes later with this. Pictures have been taken after I washed and comed it as best as possible. 2nd similar experience with them. The first being months prior with a different barber. I do understand that I asked for Rob to do "what he thinks looks best" / to trust him to do his thing, but I didn't think that meant this. While I didn't ask for a fade, I would expect a barber would have a sense of how to blend hair better rather than a thinning out on the bottom, then just leaving a mop on top. Barely any shaping on the sides, with seemingly nothing on the back of my neck. I'll also be following up with update pictures after I get this fixed somewhere else. I would go back to them to fix it, but I'd rather pay out a few more quid than risk coming out with a patchwork haircut.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Dashing Blades. Rob and his team deliver a first-class service; the staff are all very talented and make you feel incredibly welcome and at home each and every time. I'll put it this way - there are at least five barbers/hairdressers within walking distance of my house but I still get in the car and drive to Dashing Blades every time!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely superb. I was recommended Dashing Blades by a work colleague and I did need to get my growing mop under control. I didn't know how to go about sculping my expanding beard mane into a more distinguished shape, rather than looking like I'd slept on the pavement. The booking system is very easy to use and gives up to the minute availability of all the staff. I'd seen the other reviews and looked forward to my appointment. There is limited on-street parking, with a 2 hour limit (I did manage to get a spot at 5pm) but there is a public car park 2 minutes from the shop door. The venue is very cool with leather sofas, other period furniture and relaxing music in the background. I was greeted by Rob at the door and immediately felt at ease. Rob knows exactly what he's doing, which was great because I didn't know exactly what I wanted! Hair trim (I'm growing it, so just a tidy), beard cut, neck shave and application of Captain Fawcett's Hair Pomade and Beard balm later, I'm transformed. Hobo to distinguished gent... well, much neater anyway! There is a huge array of the Captain Fawcett products at the counter. I bought what was applied on the day, Hair Pomade Putty and the Maharajah Beard Balm. A really good experience. I have found my new regular barber!

Fantastic experience: After my barber of 25 years closed down I pined like a lost puppy and then went through the various phases of denial before relenting the home buzz cuts and searching for a new outlet to let loose on my barnet. After my famously fussy son reccommended them I booked with Dashing Blades. The staff are welcoming, chatty and the decor is great! What a fantastic find. Highly reccommend.

Positive experience: Very bad treatment by Cal, just garbage talk, after finish just said , " GO i have more important things to do" and just went out , sad attitude against the client , and after been 10 min late had to pay 2x so a £50 haircut ... Just a legal scam , only associate Rachel was nice and lovely

Fantastic experience: Got my hair cut today and what a fantastic job they did, they were very quick and precise and did it perfectly, 100% recommend going to see them.

Fantastic experience: I live in Germany but attended a semester abroad in Coventry (2019). Never have I ever met a Barber that could handle my hair so perfectly! I have thin hair and inspite of my hair loss he nailed it every time, utilizing a very unique technique, that I've never seen before. I went to so many Barbers in Germany, (they charge much more) and I was almost always disappointed. So I thought you Coventry guys should now what a sweet Barber you have! I think its Josh, the gentleman with a long hairstyle :D
