Fantastic experience: If I said I just had a haircut it wouldn't do it justice..... that was an experience! Before : I quote my partner "your hair makes you look 60, your beard makes you look homeless." I was just a walk in and even though the lads were busy they went out of there way to fit me in and made me a coffee..... that later came in handy as I could have fell asleep on the chair it was that relaxing!! When my woman wants to go to primark for some retail therapy..... this is the place I'll go to for mine!!

Wassim is very knowledgeable about cutting hair and will have many recommendations for what would look good if you aren't sure yourself. If you are sure and know what you want he will cut it precisely to your discretion and is extremely professional in every regard. Outstanding haircuts every single time, you won't go anywhere else once you've been.

I have had bad experiences with long hair stylists in the past but this turned that around. Even they gave me a beard growth oil at the end for courtesy aswell! Fabulous service. Keep it up!

Fantastic experience: This barber shop is well worth a try, the owner and staff are very talkative, the barber atmosphere is good, and free tea and coffee are also provided. Although the price is a little high(Because I didn't see the exact price of a haircut at the front of the store), I am very satisfied with the service of the staff and the store manager, so I will still give good reviews. If I hadn't rushed to catch the train today, I might have had a longer time to enjoy my haircut.

Positive experience: I am visiting barbers to trim my beard for around 10 years now. I've visited barbers in Poland, Switzerland and the UK now and I think I have quite good understanding of what good barber is and what is not FOR ME. Please note I am not a professional in this field at all and I am just sharing my opinion for a consumer perspective. At Al Barber I was having beard trim + haircut in September 2023. I am quite puzzled about how to rate Al Barber, to be honest. Overall I was more dissapointed with the visit than happy as I did not like neither how my hair looked, nor my beard. Furthermore that was the "roughest" shaving I've ever get. Very not delicate and I felt quite "violated" rather than relaxed (maybe I'm being a sissy here). Last but not least service did last over an hour (around 1 hour 20 minutes) where for me it is a bit longer than it should. You will ask me "why you give 3 stars then and not 1?" I am a person that ALWAYS after razor shave has got ingrown hair and irritated skin. No matter what. After visit at Al Barber my skin after razor shave was clean and not irritated. I did not have a single ingrown hair. This was quite amazing for me and I have no idea how did they achieve it. I also have to say that guys are using a lot of product on you during the shave. Pre-shave, after shave, balm, oil, powder etc. I've never had as much product used on me before. Is that the reason why my skin was behaving so well after? Maybe. Or maybe was it the "roughness" of the shave? To summarize, I can definitely recommend Al Barber as a competent barbershop. Their sense of style and understanding of customer need maybe is not hitting my requirements but you cannot deny their craft with the razor. I think you should try them and if your look and style is similar to what Al Barber consider good look then I am sure you will be delighted with the visit. ::EDIT:: I've decided to update this review and give 1 more star due to oustanding customer service. After posting this review, owner of Al Barber did call me personally to thank for the review and to understand how better he can serve my needs for the future. I have to say this impressed me a lot, it shows great passion that he is having for this business, and if everyone would care about their work as much as Al Barber, world would be much better place. Once again thank you and all the best!

Negative experience: I never leave reviews but this one deserves a honest review. I went here for about four months, the owner never cut my hair how I asked for it and would always go too high. The other guy was great so I would book him. But the owner sometimes would swap things around meaning I had the owner, he never listened to what I was asking for. He would try to sell me everything in the shop even beard products when I have no beard. I made a booking one day and went in, it was me next, I’m sat looking at my phone and I look up to someone else sitting in the chair, I said is it not me and he laughs and says you were busy on your phone at which point I left as I needed to go to work. I booked again with the guy I liked, for some strange reason the owner I think was called wassim just took over and started cutting it really fast but it’s not what I wanted. I left and wasn’t happy. I tried one last time I’m sat waiting but someone else walked in and the owner sat him down with the guy I wanted and I was booked with, wassim started cutting my hair and then they swapped. What was going on I don’t know, but I ended up with a bad hair cut over Christmas and haven’t been back I bought some products once, two weeks later I go in and he tried selling me the same products again, I told him they’ll last me months but he wouldn’t stop. Very expensive and I never got treated well. I’ve heard similar stories about him from barbers I go to in town centre. I was disappointed being treated like that
