Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. Was going to my last barber for 20 years, and just recently moved to the area. Made an appointment with Madyson, and when I got there I was told she was running behind. Mike was extremely apologetic and offered to take me right away. He did an awesome job, checked to make sure I was happy with the first result - asked him to take it down a bit more, which he happily did. Gave me advice and product recommendations for dry scalp, which I will be trying ASAP. Madyson came over when she was done her previous client and apologized. Will be going back FOR SURE. Fantastic experience: Today my husband and I brought our 2.5 yr old son in for his very first haircut. My husband gets his hair cut by Mike and always has a great experience, but I was still a little nervous until we walked in and were greeted so warmly by the staff and even the clients. Mike did such an awesome job with our son’s curly hair!! He was patient, gentle, and made all of us feel super comfortable. Even with our son constantly moving, Mike was quick, safe, and skilled with the scissors. He gave suggestions along the way, checked in to make sure we liked everything, and even helped save some pieces of hair for us to keep. We’re so happy with how it turned out and will definitely be back. Thanks Mike!!

Fantastic experience: Was my first time there and was greeted by friendly staff then was helped by Mike. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted but told him the idea and Mike made it happen. The beard turned out amazing. Head shave was super smooth, and the whole overall experience was incredible with all the hot towels and steamers. Atmosphere was warm, welcoming and friendly. Will be going back, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Nice shop. Loved the atmosphere. All staff were very kind. I overhead a few conversations between staff and customers and it seemed like they were all very involved with each other, which is nice. There seems to be actual relationships there which I like. I don't usually like the immediate outcome of most hair cuts, but Mitch did a great job. I loved it right away and got several compliments, which I usually never get. They all just seem like good people and that's really the best thing you can ask for in a business. I will be going back and recommending to others as well. Been back many times, have had several barbers, including Patty and Jhony. Everyone does a great job and everyone is very friendly.

Positive experience: Came for a cut for my wedding this upcoming weekend. Pretty sloppy on the sides, with hair at all kinds of different lengths. Have to stop somewhere else to clean up. Wasn't asked if I was happy with it or anything at the end of the cut, just sort of there you go. Not terrible, but not what I was hoping for.

Fantastic experience: I have been cutting my hair with Aaron for last 2 years. He is fantastic every time, great attention to detail and fun to chat with. I visited last Tuesday Feb 20th for a hair cut; the lady in the reception welcomed and offered coffee. I was going to take it from the pot, however she went and made a fresh cappuccino and served to me in a cup and saucer. She was really exceptional and went above and beyond. I can’t recall receiving such a warm reception in any business or stores. The least I could do was appreciate her and wash the cup I drank from. Highly recommend

Safe to say I will be back to see Pattie! Johnny the owner was also very nice and made you feel at home. Complimentary coffee or espresso is offered upon arrival. Appointments are made online and I didnt wait at all for my scheduled time. The place has got a great vibe with very friendly and (seemingly) skilled employees. Will be back from now on! Edit: just got my hair cut by Johnny and its the best cut I've ever had hands down. Really great guy and awesome atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: Had my first experience here tonight. First off Aaron was an absolute master of his craft and gave the best beard trim and shape I’ve ever had. He was friendly, professional and explained everything every step of the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everyone was very friendly and it had a very inviting atmosphere. The shop was set up nicely and had a nice variety of product to buy if you chose to but I wasn’t once pushed to buy their product. When the time comes I wouldn’t entertain going anywhere else. This is my shop from now on.

Easy to book online, friendly staff. Shop has awesome vibe with lots of high quality hair/beard products for purchase. Mitch was great with my son- he can have sensory problems or be extremely shy but rocked the haircut thanks to Mitch’s calm cool demeanour (getting to sit on a skateboard defiantly helped). Many families with teens- Johnny and staff greeted each client like a long lost friend. Friendly, warm, clean and cool. Definitely will be back, understandable why this shop has reputation as Durham Regions #1 barber shop.

Fantastic experience: Mitch did a great job on my hair today. Wasn't sure what to do with it anymore, and he made some suggestions that I would not have considered. Loving my cut and the side part he suggested. Never considered a side part, and never considered the side he recommended but he was 100% correct on the side part and the side of the part. My girlfriend was liking the side part as well so it's a home run!

Fantastic experience: I am so happy finding Johnny cuts. I been to different Barbershops in the past and usually have to change after a few time due to lack of interest in their customer even when they charge arm and a leg for a haircut and 10 minutes you’re out the door. I am so happy with Aaron as he pays attention to what he does so even after 5 weeks my hair still looks good, just a bit longer. Just the fact that he actually remembers how I like my hair cut just after couple of time shows his attention to detail. This place is very professional. You know this pace is good when you do have to book your appointment couple of weeks ahead and usually they are fully booked.

Negative experience: The First time I made an appointment several years ago your phone staff was both pleasant and professional and your service was excellent. Today when I called to make an appointment for a shave and a mustache trim for my husband your woman phone staff was neither pleasant nor professional. Snarky and annoying tone of voice, She kept saying beard trim and I kept saying shave and mustache trim. She said words are not important. Yes words are important in order to get the right service or product you wish to purchase. Based on her on going phone behavior this call to make a simple appointment for my husband was going from simple to complicated to unpleasant. I told her to never mine I don't need the appointment and hung up. Life's too short I don't need more stupid. I hope your service is still excellent.

Positive experience: My review would be different if my barber was still working there. I tried to the other barbers I asked for a particular style and they did their own thing. I have not been back.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to Johnny Cuts now for almost 2 years and I've yet to be disappointed! Reasonably priced for a men's cut and Johnny takes a lot of care in his work (but he's also very quick and efficient). He's also super easy going and friendly. The shop's vibe and feel are also amazing... They usually have games running on the screen that you can check out while waiting or during the cut. I recommended my buddy to come here and he drives all the way from Scarborough now to get his haircut here. Try to get appointments though cause they are booked well in advance; that's how good they are.

Awesome attention to detail and precision with the haircut - very focused, and was clearly putting his absolute best effort to give an outstanding service. Cody was easy to talk to and he cut it just how I asked (which hasn’t been the case at some other places I’ve been to). Overall, I hadn’t been happy about a haircut in years, but this definitely broke that losing streak. Possibly the best cut I’ve ever had!
