Negative experience: I had the worst experience at this salon. The staff clearly didn’t know how to do proper scissor cutting and completely ruined my hair. I’m very unhappy with the result and the lack of skill shown. I hope the salon improves its training and technique so no one else has to go through this.

Negative experience: I recently took my nephew for a haircut and intend not to return. The barber at the first chair was rude and unprofessional. He left razor marks, which were exacerbated when he attempted to fix every time. The damage is now irreparable.

Yashasvi was complaining the whole time, saying the barbers didn’t know what they were doing — but the burst fade was clean. They just wanted a free cut, plain and simple. The guys at The Gentlemen’s Barber Shop are solid, hardworking, and always take care of their clients. 25 years in the game says it all.

Took care of every little detail from eyebrows, full facial shave, tidied up the ears, and absolutely crushed the fade I asked for. First time I've ever had him cut my hair, but that did not matter. Definitely years of experience with all types of hair because hands down the best cut I've gotten in forever. 10/10 will be back. More than fair pricing too, as I thought the price could be higher because of the level of service, but that went towards tip as he absolutely deserved it. Keep on killing it!!

Negative experience: Everybody was nice in there they made fell confortable most of the times until I went again but not this time this I went this guy didn’t even say hi or something, then when he starts cutting my hair puts his hands in my whole face with a very bad cigarette smell like hello there is something called hygiene, but that is NOT ALL!! Later he starts almost slapping me to move my head, then he pulls my hair I mean sometimes it happens with any other barber but they don’t do it on purpose do they?? And also he was very agresive and my haircut also SUCKS! guy made me almost bald I don’t have word for this experience terrible!!!!!

Now they rush through every cut, don't listen to your instructions, and charge you a fortune. The worst part is the rudeness of the staff. I can not get over how rude the manager is, speaking poorly and yelling at customers. There is nothing redeeming about this shop, and it does not deserve your business.

Negative experience: A terribly bad store! The hairstylist was too fast and careless when cutting my child’s hair, resulting in a piece of my child’s ear being cut. When we asked for compensation afterward, the manager had an extremely bad attitude. They failed to provide the promised compensation within the agreed time and even accused us of harassment, even though we were simply inquiring about when we would receive what was promised. They kept saying that my child’s ear was fine—would you say the same if a piece of your child’s ear had been cut off? Overall, this is a highly irresponsible store! We will never go again.

Negative experience: Overpriced. Rude. Overrated and long wait times. We went for 2 years straight and the pass8ve aggressive jokes and comments are inappropriate. The people cut as they wish and get irate or rude of you ask them to change or cut a specific way. What a shame.

Negative experience: Drove an hour TWICE because the receptionist told us they could do the haircut we wanted without hesitation, then when we got back she wanted to see a picture because come to find out she had no idea what we were asking for even after telling us they could do what we were asking for…. Then waited over an hour until 20 minutes before close just for the receptionist to tell the barber what he is and isn’t comfortable doing(most likely because it was 20 minutes before close and the haircut would take longer than that) after she had already told us 3 different times they could do the haircut “NO PROBLEM.” She was rude and you can tell she is the one that LETS the barbers cut the hair but SHE decides if they are able to do the cuts, not them deciding themselves what they are able to do and not do…. All around awful experience and I don’t understand how they have a 4.3 star rating, they sure aren’t even a 1 but I had to pick one…. Go to a different place if you are looking for a barber to do anything other than a taper or a shave….

Negative experience: The single worst haircut I have ever received. The young lady cutting hair there has no actual clue of what she was doing. If you value your money and self esteem, please don’t go to this establishment. I asked to keep the top long and she sawed it off. Asked for a simple shortening of the sides and I’m left with hair that looks chiseled off, and uneven fangs of uncut hair towards the top.

Fantastic experience: I only go to Gentlemen's Barber! Mostly to the one on Oxford, but occasionally to Masonville. Stefan has cut my hair a few of these times. Always a fantastic cut. There are a ton of chairs and barbers on staff so you never wait long. Everyone is awesome and know how to do a proper fade. Don't waste your time and money anywhere else, this is the place to go.

Negative experience: Terrible outcome, I am very disappointed. She didn't asked me how high the fade is. she just went immediately with the razor. this is unacceptable. Negative experience: Been a customer for several years and still had the worst experience today. I called in 10 minutes before to cancel my appointment because my doctor’s appointment was running late. I told the owner that they could cancel my appointment and then i could come in as a walk in. The guy was very rude and unprofessional and told me that this shouldn’t be the way to behave. I thought i was doing the right thing and respecting their time by calling ahead but his response was quite unprofessional, especially when I dropped in earlier and told him that i will be seeing my doctor before i come in. Also keeping in mind that they usually make me wait for 5-10 mins every time even when I have an appointment. I could understand his concern if I hadnt called to cancel and still not show up. He just told me that he doesn’t need my business To respond to your comment below, My disappointment based on my awful experience was only brought about by your totally rude and impolite response when I called in 10 minutes before to cancel my appointment (not 5 as you mentioned below). I was always polite and understanding when you made me wait for more than 10 minutes in several occasions in the past 5 years when I am there with an appointment almost always. You have no excuse to be rude to a person who respects your time especially when you are not the one who does. And contrary to your claim below that you 'Strive to accommodate your clients' you clearly did not do anything to accommodate me or apologise for your rudeness. and the many negative reviews below on the same topic proves my point!
