I’ve been getting my hair cut from Andy the past 4 months and New Shanghai Barbershop has been nothing but fantastic! Such a friendly atmosphere followed by great professionalism. They make you feel right at home! Edit: Coming back to this review almost 6 years later and can still say that Andy has been an incredible barber. He has taken care of me and my hair with great suggestions on what to try out, and kindly nudging me away from styles that dont necessarily work with my hair type. He’s become a friend and always loves to catch up on what’s been happening since the last time we’ve met. These relationships are what keep me coming back. He’s also been a great professional and always learning to be better, and I have seen so much growth since we’ve met. Would recommend him to anyone! This sounds like it’s all for Andy since he’s been the only one cutting my hair at New Shanghai, but can say that while I’m there, I can see that everybody else that works there is very friendly and treats their clients like they’re life long friends.

He always takes the time to help me communicate the hair style I have in my head so that he can create it on top of it. He's great at helping me narrow down & solidify what I'm actually looking for when I come in describing something vague. Chill vibes in the AM while the buzz builds into the afternoon as more clients & barbers start snipping! Possibly dog friendly but I'd call & ask first - theres usually a little shop dog sleeping in the window or under the pool table.
