Fantastic experience: Getting a haircut for the first time in a new city is never an easy venture. I’ve heard many horror stories from friends about finding the right place and that it always takes a few tries to find the right spot. But I can say with confidence that you will be taken care of at Gentlemen007. I arrived without an appointment and they were able to get me in right away, even with it being close to closing. Abbas, my barber, was beyond kind and very attentive when it came to what I wanted. Even with me being a bit picky, he wanted to make sure that I walked away with something that I liked. He was very flexible and was extremely focused with his attention to detail. I will say that it was a bit more than I expected, but definitely worth every penny. Walked away with a fresh new look as well as my new go to barber here in the city. Thank you, Gentlemen !

Positive experience: I am very surprised for what this place charges that they do not shampoo or condition to rinse out your hair after the cut. They are very friendly which is good but they cut off more than I asked them to. I would not be going back.

Negative experience: Disappointing and not recommended. I visited this barbershop for my child’s haircut and had a very bad experience. Before starting, I showed them a clear video of the haircut style I wanted. They mentioned they couldn’t do that exact style, so I agreed and told them to go ahead with a haircut that would suit my child’s face. The person who started the haircut seemed new and unprofessional. He did a poor job, and I told him directly that this was not acceptable. When I raised my concern, another barber stepped in to help and tried his best to fix it. I appreciate his effort and professionalism, but the damage was already done, and the final result was still not up to the mark. Overall, a disappointing experience — I would not recommend this shop.

Positive experience: Really nice and clean place with warm greetings and good behavior. The haircut was just okay, he tried his best, but I probably should have been clearer about my requirements. It was a bit more expensive than expected; in 2025, the usual rate in the Plateau area is around $25–30, but this one was $45. Despite that, I’d still recommend this place. Next time, I’ll try to book an appointment with Khalifa or the other experienced barber.

I highly recommend Aziz, he's so kind and professional and very pleasant, always cuts my hair so perfectly Aziz is also very impeccable and flawless ! He's been my barber for about a year ! But the prices are a bit high compared to other places. And they're still high even after a student discount which is less than 15% off. I wish they were lower ! Higly recommended overall !!

Negative experience: Poor customer service unprofessional personal and i don’t even think they keep their tools like blades and siccors clean. Have bumps and bruises from the Aziz guy lining my beard have to go to a dermatologist to get his checked. Be very careful while going to this shady place. Never again.

Negative experience: Real bad experience especially if you are a person of color please don’t waste your time and money in this place. Had an appointment with another experience barber but I got pawned off to a rookie who I guess was learning and he messed up my hair cut . 0/0 for the cut and the experience and when I told him I wasn’t pleased and was the look I was going for he started I talk in their native language and the more experience barber I guess who he was apprenticing under just told him he didn’t give a care. The guy Karim didn’t even know how to hold a razor and I have a few cuts from him trying to line my beard. Be very very careful going into to see these guys especially if you aren’t white then forget about service they will treat you like crap. Don’t recommend this place at all to any one.

Negative experience: I was excited looking at super reviews but I had a very disappointing experience at this barbershop during my visit to Montreal. The haircut was poorly done - uneven and not what I asked for. I did pointed out but I didn’t argue much as it couldn’t be undone and Barber kept insisting that nothing is wrong and I as customer doesn’t know anything about haircut. Thought beard trimming wont go wrong but the beard trim was no better, with noticeable asymmetry. What was most concerning was that the barber used a razor on my skin without applying any shaving lotion or gel, which not only caused discomfort but also left me with visible bruises on my face. I opted for a facial afterward, hoping it would redeem the overall experience, but the treatment lacked the refinement expected from a professional service. No facial implements were used during the procedure; instead, manual extraction was performed using excessive pressure, and at one point, a fingernail was used - a practice that is both unsanitary and unacceptable in professional skincare. This not only compromised hygiene standards but also the overall quality of the treatment. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience. Spent $140 + taxes + 10% tip.

Negative experience: I was looking for a new place to get a haircut, read some reviews, and noticed there were quite a few one-star ratings. I figured — things happen, maybe it was a difficult customer or something. I arrived, walked in, and got zero reaction — they just looked at me until I started speaking. After about five minutes, they invited me to sit down. The guy, who looked Asian, barely glanced at the photos I showed and half-listened when I explained that I often have issues with volume at new places and asked him to pay extra attention to that area. Of course, after the haircut, there were problems with the volume in the front — I basically ended up with a cap visor look. When I asked him to trim it a little and at least fix it a bit, all communication between my explanations and the photos just vanished. I thought, alright, the worst is over… until I was charged $45.99. Again — $45.99 for something that barely satisfies me. Even places on Saint-Catherine don’t charge that much. I strongly recommend that anyone reading this pay close attention to all the one-star reviews. You might end up just like me — the next “problematic” customer who leaves a 1-star review like this one. All the best.
