Fantastic experience: The staff are always friendly and professional. The staff always ask how you want your hair cut and do a great job. The atmosphere in the shop is awesome, so if you do have to wait for a haircut ( which is pretty quick) it doesn’t seem you have waited at all.

Fantastic experience: One of the best barbers, Not just in Toowoomba, but in Queensland! Having recently come from a big city, I thought I knew what a good barber was. That was until I visited Joel's. When you walk in, you're not only greeted by one of the stylists, you're greeted by everyone. When its busy, and there's a bit of a queue, you're acknowledged reminded that it shouldn't be much longer. But even further, when you mention you're waiting for a specific barber, instructions are given to the other barbers to pick up other clients, retaining your opportunity for your desired barber. You feel like a valued client and part of a welcoming & professional environment. My preferred Barber is Sam, whom is my primary motivation for this review. He is a master of his trade. Having been a barber for 20+ years, his skill & passion for his trade is still very evident. He takes his time and doesn't rush the cut by any means. It doesn't matter what's going on, or how busy he is, he ensures his cuts are done to an excellent standard, each and every time. His attention to detail is second to none. All cuts are finished it off with shaving the back of your neck with warm shaving cream. When doing so, Sam goes the extra mile and lines it all up with your facial hair as well, not typically part of a standard haircut. But what really stands out that no other barber has ever done before, is just after the hot towel on the face and neck, Sam gives you a short neck massage! He even found a tense area in my left side and worked it loose. We're talking masseuse quality here. I don't want to get up out of that chair! This is a man whose perfected the art of his craft, and takes pride in his work. He turns an ordinary haircut into a pampering, rejuvenating experience, and you walk out feeling like a new man. Having said that, I can't discredit the rest of the team. They all seem to do amazing work and are all very friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. You feel like part of the family when you walk in. All in all, Joel's provide a fantastic experience that is unmatched in quality, and price in comparison to some of the big name, big city establishments. Well done guys!

Negative experience: Strange 'barber' service at salon prices. The most expensive clipper cut I've had in my life. They ignored the cut I requested and did their own thing and I left feeling alienated. Would not recommend as a barber, this is a salon for expensive style cuts.

Fantastic experience: So glad I found JOELS! Usually I do not enjoy haircuts. The hairdresser will often be multitasking while doing your hair (Which you pay good money for) only for the haircut to be less than what you would expect. NOT AT JOELS!! From the moment I sat down in their comfy barbers chair, the fantastic service began. Joel himself made me feel very comfortable. Joel intently listened to how I like my hair and gave undivided attention to my haircut all while holding a great conversation. The speed was very quick but no corners (Or ears lol) were cut and the quality of the final cut was exactly what I had hoped for. All in all, I left their barber shop feeling a new man. The neck shave and warm towel also a nice touch. This will be my regular for mens cuts going forward. THANK YOU JOELS
