Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the best spots for a haircut in Toowoomba, the guys here are young and enthusiastic about their trade, good optics and advice for what appeals in a mens haircut. Always welcoming and up for a chat. Ask for Jack in particular, dude is an absolute pro. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Barber at Jimmy Rods – Alex Delivers Every Time Alex, who made the move from Sarge’s after Sarge left town, is an absolute asset to Jimmy Rods. His attention to detail is second to none, and it’s clear that Jimmy’s has gained a top-tier barber. I recently had a skin fade done, and as always, Alex executed it flawlessly. Precision is key, and he nails it every time. It’s rare to find a barber who consistently delivers such high-quality work, and Alex is definitely one of them. If there’s one addition that would elevate the experience even further, it would be the option for “the works”—including having the hair on my ears burned off. That would be prime. Another great enhancement would be an appointment system with online payment options, even if just for one chair in the shop, to add convenience for regulars. Overall, an excellent cut and experience. As long as Alex is at Jimmy Rods, I’ll be back again and again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: i had the worst experience at Jimmy rods toowoomba. i took my 4 year old boy to for the haircut, infact it was his first haircut from shop. The barber was so rude to him, fixing his head so strongly on my boy's little movements. i even assisted him to stay still but what you can expect from a 4 year old boy. barber even was so firm with his voice saying him that he won't cut his hair if he moves, not even realising that my boy not even understanding him. I was in such a shock that this is even happening. i couldn't believe that he didn't not give a little smile to my boy, make him comfortable and wa expecting him to behave like a grown up. anyway i couldn't say a word as o thought if i open my mouth i will run into tears. i didn't not even asked him the price and realised that he made me paid the price more than they charge for boys cut. anyway i should have a checked it before. but very disappointed with the behaviour my boy and i have to tolerate. I am not judging him to be a racist but i felt it the same. i had a big cry after getting home. so non australian people don't go there.

Negative experience: Got a fade and a trim today. Was a below average cut. The barber stunk of BO and the other barber in there who didn't have a client just moped around on his phone while the place was a mess. Felt very uncomfortable and will not be returning.

Negative experience: The new apprentice “Riley” i believe is his name cut my beard yesterday and a very very bad job like I get that he’s training but like half my beard is uneven I asked him to cut it short and clean it up and use the cutthroat and all he did was get the electric shaver and get rid of the bits that where hanging out and cleaned up the bottom of my neck and the sides of my face didn’t make it shorter at all and then I told him could u make it shorter and he said yeah so he cut it didn’t use anything to line it up with besides looking at it and he went straight in and hacked at it he seemed rushed at the same time because I believe his girlfriend came into store and wanted to have lunch with him she sat down for ages while they where talking and he was cutting my beard still anyway I feel like he was super unprofessional and honestly not very passionate about his job career all this has resulted in me cutting my beard off as soon as I got home plus I payed like $35 for that wich isn’t a problem because I love jimmy rods Been going there for 4 years now plus shoutout to Wayne the best barber there that man always hooked me up with a fire beard and haircut… but Riley needs to be trained more I’ve seen customers in store get frustrated with him aswell.

Negative experience: Absolutely one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a barber shop. I’ve had a $15 haircut at some dodgy place before and it was better than what I just got. I’ve been here before and liked it but that was with a different person cutting my hair. This time I got a woman and she was horrible. She rushed through everything and didn’t take care of my hair. If you are that sick of your job just do something else. She was so ignorant she blasted death metal while there were kids waiting. She then charged $10 more than what I got charged the last time I was there and asked if I wanted a receipt like I wanted to document the robbery that just happened.

Negative experience: Was told senior price $26.50 by employee on Saturday. He seemed to hardly understand English and didn't blow off hair, do eyebrows as requested, or fix my collar after cut. Then told by another employee that it would be 39 not original agreed price. Substandard customer service and overpriced.
