Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of being seated w a lovely lady called Seven. I’ve seen and noted her work before, having a background in barbering myself provides me with an eye for passionate barbers. Whole experience was flawless, anyone that wants to learn good customer service in general, needs to watch this lady. Haircut done w precision and the softest touch, the beard done old-school/meticulously w a scissors and conversation fun, courteous, and curious. 10/10

Negative experience: If I could give minus stars I would. Looks like the manager is completely unprofessional. I watched him scream and shout at his staff and lock his customers outside whilst he continued to berate and belittle his staff members. Repeatedly swore and told the staff member to get out. Quite surprising because every time I’ve come to the shop Ive waited for Jack specifically as well as watching other customers do the same as I’ve watched the care and consideration he’s given to us during his hair cuts that I quite frankly don’t see from the other staff members there. I’ve even so much as gone to Castletown on a Saturday just to have my hair done by Jack. Such a shame the lad has moved to another shop but a win for the other business. Wouldn’t catch me in JBs again as it’s clear they have no care for their customers, just the money which is why some of the hair cuts are being done so quickly and it’s easy to see the difference in care.

Fantastic experience: I’m watching the young guy do my son’s hair and it looks so good!! Watching the other barbers too and they all take their time and are doing amazing jobs. 10/10 we will be back!

Fantastic experience: Today I was lucky enough to have my hair done by Jack. I liked the fact that he really took care of my hair. I hadn't had such a good service for a long time. He was very meticulous and attentive to my needs. What's more, he was very friendly. I highly recommend him!

Negative experience: Went to the store on the Saturday as it said you were opening at 9am. Called another store from the chain to find out why they still weren’t open by 9:15am only to find out no-one was opening the store today! NOT HAPPY!

Negative experience: Had a haircut this morning and the pricing was really unclear. When I asked about the cost, the lady just pointed to a sign instead of explaining. I went ahead, but at the end they charged me the full $42 instead of the senior price. I don’t even have much hair, so this felt like a total rip-off. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at this barbershop. I showed the barber a video of the hairstyle I wanted—suitable for straight hair but with a textured cut—and he took his time to study it before starting. He was extremely precise and meticulous, making sure to get every detail right. The overall service was outstanding. The barber was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He even identified my hair type and continuously checked in with me throughout the process to ensure I was happy with the progress. He put a lot of effort into adding as much texture as possible, which I really appreciated. The only downside is that the haircut ended up a little shorter than I expected. While he did show me and ask for confirmation before cutting, my hair was wet at the time, so it shrank more than I anticipated once it dried. Because of that, the specific style I had in mind / showed beforehand might only be fully achievable in about two weeks. That said, the experience overall was excellent, and I’d definitely come back. A small adjustment next time, but otherwise, a fantastic barber and a great service!

Fantastic experience: This is by far my favourite barber in town, hands down. simple trim for hair and short beard however the staff make everyone feel comfortable, the shops vibe highlights quality service and happy staff. I left expecting a higher charge due to the level of detail taken however it was actually cheaper than my last 2 cuts. 10/10 I'll definitely continue with these guys

Negative experience: Asked for a .5 fade, got a rushed 2 back and sides. My barber had no pride in his work

Negative experience: Inconsistent service. I have supported this business since 2016, however it has reached a point where 1 out of 4 times I go here they are either closed or “full”. Never the same barber. Heaps of stations but not enough staff. When you do manage to get in the door the wait times are very long. Sadly a good bye from me now.

Negative experience: Went in for a haircut as they seemed super friendly and well rated. Arrived and there was 1 other person waiting, sat down and waited patiently as well. Was never greeted or even acknowledged. After a staff member was finished with the person before me, they made eye contact with me, then immediately turned to the second staff member and said they were going on break. Again, never saying a word to me. After waiting 40 minutes in total, I gave up and left. Just felt like a lack of respect. Even a "hello" or "there will be a slight wait as our staff needs to have a lunch break first" would be been more than valid. But to be ignored the entire time, I don't feel like giving my money to that kind of business.

Negative experience: Sat down and happily waited half an hour but then got to the front of the line and the barber went for a 10 min break without acknowledging myself or my partner. Pretty annoying and unprofessional. Don't waste your time.

Fantastic experience: I walked in and was kindly greeted just as I was taking a seat. I waiting patiently for my turn for a haircut. Once it is my turn I am politely escorted to my chair and asked what I'd like to do with my hair. I give simple and straight forward ideas of what I'd like while also showing pictures, Claire (my womderful hairdresser) understands completely and is on the same pages. With her years of her hairstyling/haircutting experience she follows our plan and executes it with ease. While also holding a conversation between us. I hadn't had a hair cut in about 6 months and was dredding the day to come as I had feared that somebody could ruin my hair and cut it too short for my liking. Just as I have had many barbers do before. But no, Claire absolutely nailed it. For that I am very greatful. She also gave the best headmassage of all time. I highly recommend getting your hair cut at JB's barbers especially by Claire.
