Experiencia negativa: I thought I’d share my experience with Chicago Cuts with anyone looking for a barber. This place is ran poorly and the barbers seem to be straight out of school or somehow obtained a license without knowing how to cut hair. I was cut in 2 different places which resulted in blood and the barber proceeded to act like it wasn’t a big deal. The haircut was awful and I ended up having to get it fixed elsewhere. I ended up going back after voicing my concerns with the manager and he did not seem to care, stating the reason the barber cut me twice was because he was having a bad day and some of his clients love his cuts. After dismissing all of my flaws within the haircut and experience it wasn’t until I mentioned I wrote a review prior to this one. He insisted on be deleting it and was finally open to a refund once the review was discovered, he even made me delete the review in front of him stating he did not trust me. After deleting the review and 10 mins of back and forth meaningless conversation about why he thought I was overacting I finally got the refund. The barber in the back left is awful and everything about this place is a one star. It’s simply a barbershop for middle eastern people and they do not care about other clients. It’s clear the manager does not care about what goes on and it’s a shame this place advertises towards the minority community but could care less unless you speak their language. Do not come in here unless you plan on getting your hair fixed as well after the haircut. FOLLOW UP: I wanted to follow up because Chichgo Style Cuts responded. There was no lies or misinformation stated in my message. The cut was awful, I was dripping blood down my forehead at one point, and to top it off the barber had the audacity to say “No tip?” You wanted pictures of my cut? You looked at my cut in person when I drove 35 minutes back to the barbershop to confront the manager about my horrible experience. Why would I lie and drive 35 minutes for a $25 refund? (Also keep in mind I payed $40 to get my haircut fixed at another location because it was so bad and then drove 30 mins back to Chicago cuts because the manager requested to speak in person, I lost over $60 between gas and getting the haircut fixed. There’s absolutely no reason to say I was lying about the interaction or experience when simply I don’t care about the money. The experience was so bad I had to write about it) This place is not professional and is truly the worst barbershop in Raleigh/Cary. Please do not come in, they will not treat you with respect and they are simply just trying to get as many haircuts in throughout the day without really caring about their craft. This place is a -10/10 I will end my review with this. A barbershop should NOT have 10+ 1 star reviews in under a year, please understand this place is THAT AWFUL (Also do not let him think I’m just an entitled young adult; everything I have said is truthful. There is no gain for me bashing a barbershop that I’ll never go back to but I will not let these people ruin someone else’s hair or give someone the terrible experience I was given)

Experiencia fantástica: I am very picky when it comes to hair cuts and grooming. I LOVE this place and would not go anywhere else in the Raleigh area. 1. These guys are good. They really are good at what they do. You get a great cut every time. 2. They do razor shaves and threading. For those who do not know what threading is, it's removing hair (like waxing or with tweezers) except it's done with a kind of thread. 3. These guys are awesome. They have stayed with me and other customers more that 1.5 after their closing time. Highly recommend.

I went to get a haircut at this place as a walk in. got the owner to cut my hair. before cutting, he didn't even ask what I wanted and almosted started cutting my hair before I spoke up. he was doing a great job with my back and sides. before moving on to my top, I asked him specifically if he wanted to see the picture again before continuing, which he said no to. next thing you know, be starts cutting my hair too short and looked nothing like what I asked for. look at the difference in the pictures! cannot cut hair to save his life. please never get your haircut with the owner!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This has been my go to barbershop for almost a decade now and I will continue to come here and I’ll bring my kids here for haircuts in the future. My haircuts are always nice and smooth and the barbers in here are good too.

Experiencia negativa: Not a well run place. They will issue tokens, but keep pulling people in between without tokens based on personal preferences. No transparency / not a good customer experience. Their line will move for 15-20 minutes because of mismanagement and if they call your token and you are distracted then they might get upset as well!!

Experiencia negativa: Only a couple of the barbers here actually listen to their customers, and I usually get cut correctly, but today I was met by a Arab man in the front, who was on the call, and I specifically told him to only cut the top off since I wanted to grow out my mullet, and he proceeded to cut it super short, even when I told him to stop he proceeded to ignore me. He then didn’t finish the fade properly and proceeded to tell me he did a good job.VERY rough with me and had no sort of remorse. I AM NEVER coming back here again.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointing experience. There are two barbers here who completely ruin the atmosphere — the first one is right by the entrance, and the second one, in particular, is extremely disrespectful. Both of them keep talking loudly on their phones while working, with no regard for the customer’s comfort or the professional environment. The second barber especially has no manners and seems more focused on chatting than doing his job. Customers come to a barbershop to relax, not to feel like they’re in the middle of a noisy street. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend this place unless serious changes are made.

Experiencia negativa: The walk-in system is terrible to deal with. Only go there if you have an appointment already, or if you know the barber(s) pretty well. They never call out the numbers according to the ticketing system they have set-up. It seems like they don't care about first-time customers. I was waiting for around an hour, and still didn't hear my ticket number even though I was the 2nd person in the waiting area.

Experiencia positiva: All barbers are chill and very skilled at their job. Only issue I have is the walk in system is terrible, only come here on the weekend if you have an appointment. Barbers don’t check tickets and let anyone claim they arrived earlier. Spent an hour and a half waiting as a walk in and the only guy cutting hairs for walk ins went on break so I just left.

Experiencia negativa: This is an unorganized place. This is my 2nd visit, I wanted to give this place a 2nd shot. Took a number and sat with my son. Waited for 15mins, number didn't move. New folks arrived and they knew the barber and got seated while conversing/chitchatting in their local language. There was zero communication from anyone, finally I got up and spoke to the first barber in line and asked why are are new arrivals just getting seated. He informed they are by appointment. Some probably had appointment but the other were clearly priotized based on knowing the babers and talking in local language. Not my kinda place..good luck

Except that he didn't do a right style even after showing him a picture on my phone before he started cutting, had to intervene to convey him that. Though he finally got the style correct but my expectation is still that they should know what's being asked when it's clearly shown in a Pic and it was pretty straightforward style not something complex.

Don’t rely on the store closing time— they don’t accept walk-ins after 6:30 PM on regular days, even though the posted hours say until 7:00 PM. I arrived at 6:35 PM on the second day, and despite just needing a haircut, they still wouldn’t take me in.

Barber glanced at it for half a second and began to cut. I asked him to cut it shorter every 20 seconds but he refused, saying the ladies won’t like that. I ended up getting my hair recut 3 days later after realizing he didn’t even touch the top part of my head.

Experiencia negativa: I went in to get a mullet fade (just the sides) after a few minutes he started cutting the back of my head and I specifically asked for a mullet. This is the first barber shop that I went to and I have been in 10, but it’s the first that don’t understand what a mullet fade is.

Experiencia positiva: Got my haircut from the barber in booth 11. He did a great job! Got my hair, and beard cut, as well as straight razored for $35. Very pleased with the outcome. There are quite a few barbers in there so there wasn’t a wait. They are also open on Sunday which is very helpful with my work schedule. I will be going back.

I was up next after an hours wait and the barber took another client who he recognized as regular. The regular was confused as he didn’t have an appointment. I left. These guys are time wasters.

But then he tried to send me away, saying he had an appointment during the haircut. She was a brunette. He was a worker who wore a gold watch. When I was cutting my hair, I asked him to shorten it a little more, but he told me he didn't have time, it was like a joke. And my haircut only took 10 minutes. I can't believe I paid this guy money. If you had an appointment, why did you accept me? Even my blind grandmother couldn't cut hair worse than that. I don't think I'll ever come here again.

Experiencia negativa: Not a good experience. I decided to try Chicago Cuts again after a while. I showed the barber a picture for clarity then he messed it up at which point I told him to do a fade. He was giving me some attitude and clearly didn’t want to work with me. If he was tired then he shouldn’t have been working that late. I’m paying for a service. At the end I asked how much and he goes $40….the guy on the phone told me it’s $20. I’m going to say that it was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received as he didn’t blend/fade it and it now looks like I’m wearing a cap. Hope it can be fixed, who knows. I don’t usually leave reviews but this just wasn’t very good.

That's important because people of different ethnicities have different hair and it's not easy to consistently do a good job with different types of hair lengths, textures, colors, etc. Never had a bad cut from here. I usually go to Sameer, you can ask for him he'll do a good job.

I changed my review to 4 stars though because it REALLY depends who you get, how the cut is, unlike other places where everyone is around the same skill. Half of the people here can give you the best cut of your life and the other half will give you an okay one where they mess up something minor. I keep going here though cause those good ones are really really good. Once you find your guy, stick to him. Don't do what I do and get a different dude each time. Every barber that I've had from this establishment so far, does a fantastic job. I leave with my expectations blown, every time. If you're looking for a place that can do great fades, uses a straight razor, and is affordable, look no further. Just be sure to grab a ticket before you sit down.

Experiencia negativa: I asked for medium fade and a shape up, the shape up was decent but the fade was not a fade, he just cut half of the sides of my hair. Not saying every barber in there is bad, but one of them is.

Experiencia negativa: The Barbers are good... But the waiting time for a walk in is too long.... You keep sitting for hours and may be you can get a chance by the end of the day. I walked in as my regular was out on vacation... Nightmare waiting for a cut. No one coordinating walk-ins just keep waiting not knowing when your turn will come.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve checked out over 20 barber shops these past 9 months in North Carolina, mostly in Durham, and none of them have been that great except this one. Here you can walk in or make an appointment for a haircut. If you walk in, you get a ticket and they call out each number one by one, and you are picked by the next barber that’s available when your number is called. The guy cutting my hair did a great job. Clean fade while taking his time to do it correctly. On top, he used scissors and did multiple passes. Usually, after a haircut, I have to retouch the top to cut the sections the barber missed, but I definitely don’t have to do that this time. Overall, I highly recommend this haircut place if you’re in the triangle region.
