Responded with no problem then I proceeded to wait an HOUR AND A HALF for him to show up. Tried calling, texting… nothing. Experiencia negativa: I will start this review stating I am new, I made a quick, uneducated decision on a Saturday with the first open barbershop. This was an impulsive decision with the result to match. I made an appointment for 4pm and showed up 10 mins early. Let’s just cut to the chase on environment. If you have ever been to a cook out or bbq, thats the vibe. No receptionist, no organization, just told to sit somewhere in the middle and someone would be out. I sat in a section no one would discern as waiting space. You are 2-3 feet from someone getting their hair done. There were multiple kids playing kickball and catch in the same space. A huddle of barbers are posted up to the side just chatting. Music is blaring but combined with the screaming kids, it was a distraction from the visual chaos. I waited 5-10 after my appointment time and walked up the front to ask if there was someone I could talk to check in and was told the barber I was with was over somewhere they were vaguely pointing to. The barber asked another person to guide me to my barber and they vaguely pointed at someone in the direction without assistance. I walked over and stated I thought I was their next client and the barber asked if I had an appointment but didn’t check anything. I was told to sit down and then he and someone else disappeared for 5-10 mins without a word or introduction. When he came back he immediately asked what I was looking for. I showed pictures and reference to what I was looking for. I was asking for a medium high skin fade and 1/4 inch off the growth on the top(I did this as preparation for the 1/2 I knew would come off. If I ask for 1/2 usually, a whole inch leaves my head somehow) Side note: I am blind without my glasses but I can see what is falling around me. The fade is decent. I asked for medium high. It’s medium at best. He lined up my temples and forehead as well. That is where the compliments and good portions stop. I watched 1-3 inches of hair fall from my head and the moment I realized, it was too late. I kept thinking that this is part of the process but the more I hoped the more I was in shock. The distractions of the barbers kid playing, running around, and falling off bar stools seemed to be captivating my barbers attention. Actual scissor were barely used. A majority of my head was cut with thinning shears. My thick lush hair was whittled down to a thinned out dad haircut. I didn’t call this out bc once it’s off your head there is little they can do it remedy short of bonded extensions and this is clearly not the spot for that. I paid full price, no argument. I tipped 25% bc I still believe in paying for work I scheduled. I arrived home with a need to style my hair and realized I had lost so much more than was expected. The back is noticeably gone having been chopped much lower than the rest. I can’t even direction it down to my head to blend. The front is so much shorter than expected and I had a beautiful band of grey that flowed so well. Now it is a small strip and I am forced to push all my hair back into a classic slick back style. This was not anywhere close to what I asked for. This is hair, this will grow back, the damage has already been done and I can’t go back to undo it. Under no circumstances should you ever trust a barber who’s babysitting at the same time. I am very disappointed. Perhaps not all the barbers are at the skill level Chi was but I will definitely keep looking for more before I trust the community rec center that is Scissorhand Design Studio. I went in wearing a hat and it looks like I’ll be wearing one for weeks further Update: After trying to style this with different products I realized that the barber hacked off half my hair on my left side and essentially combed my hair over it. My hair isn’t even on both sides. Update: 2 weeks later and not a single person at the shop(stylist nor owner) has reached out to figure out what happened and rectify at all. They have 0 shame in their work. Full lack of customer/client respect.

Experiencia fantástica: EDIT: owner did reach and reply and apologized .. which even though not their problem, is appreciated. However sad that they do have to face this based off of an unprofessional stylist! This shop in its self has always been dope environment & barbers are friendly. Etc . So my review is now based off of that itself!! 101/10 recommend them for any and all barber services outside of the one listed in my original review!! I scheduled to have my hair done by one of their stylist to get extensions, as I had big events happening that I needed my hair done for, she required the money to purchase the hair extensions up front which was 640$ once she received the money via Zelle she has now ghosted me saying she was out of town didn’t get the hair yet, etc. once I requested a refund she said she had to return the hair - once she “confirmed” they received it back said i should have the refund within a week that was at the end of April it is now June 26th she no longer replies to any of my attempts to get my money back.. although this is not a direct review of the shop it is a direct review of the “stylists” it rents space or hires to represent the shop! Unfortunately I now have the stress of having to jump through hoops for a simple form of communication or sending me my money back will solve.

Experiencia fantástica: I take my son to Lucas and he always makes sure my sons hair is on point. My son asks for the newest cuts and Lucas perfects them everytime! He is always on time for our appointments and we never have to wait! We are always greeted when we walk in by someone. Love the atmosphere and vibes...super chill.

Experiencia negativa: Do great hair cuts they should just do walk-ins tho. This is the 3rd hair cut I get and 2 times the barbers never showed up (keep in mind it was 2 different occasions with different barbers.) When I use the app the barbar I make my appointment with is never at work, or is going to be "late" (never shows up ). They are very friendly and great at problem solving to finding a open barber & pick up other employees clients. It really wouldn't bother me so much it's just every time I use the app not only do they not show, but they text me to see if I'll be making it or see what im getting .............. I find it Unprofessional amd kinda rude on the barber behalf for saying they are available for these times they wont make it for, on top of that I never got a text from the barber to let me know they wouldn't be coming. Luckily they have workers willing to pick up other people's slack.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend!! Took my daughter for an undercut with design, Rosa made her feel comfortable, asked HER what she wanted and took great care of her. I am very picky with who touches our hair but she was great! My daughter (12 yrs old) loves the cut she’s so happy with the outcome. Will definitely be coming back. Also the atmosphere is so chill with plenty of wait seats, best barbershop I’ve seen.

He’s incredible at what he does, and my kids couldn’t be happier with their haircuts. The vibe at Scissorhands Barbershop is awesome—friendly people, great energy, and excellent service. We’ve had past experiences at other barbershops where a simple "low taper fade" turned into a buzz cut, leaving my kids in tears. But ever since meeting Sambino, my boys have been super happy with their haircuts. All their friends even comment that they have the best cuts around! Bug listened to me, made suggestions, asked for feedback and was super focused on the details. I like a little OCD in my barber - will definitely be back.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately a bad review for a small business. I set an appointment with Cam for a cut today at 11am. I ran into some bad traffic and notified Cam I would be 10 minutes late, I was actually only 5 minutes late. One of the other barbers went and looked for Cam but couldn’t find him. At 11:12am I got a notification that I was charged a no show fee from Cam. I asked the other barber why I got charged that but he didn’t know. Cam finally came out at 11:30 and told me he was here til 11:10 but I wasn’t here so he canceled the appointment. I spoke with him in person and he did act politely and said he couldn’t do my cut and could offer a one time refund. The reason for this review is bad business ethics. I’m a small business owner and lying isn’t ever acceptable with a customer/client. Not only lying but calling the client a liar when it’s the other way around. Horrible experience. Had I paid via cash instead of CC I guarantee you he would have done the cut even though I was 5 minutes late, but he seen it as an easy way to still get paid the exact same amount whether he performed a cut or not. If you want to act like a business owner and be in control of your own finances Cam act with integrity always. Best of luck too you.

Experiencia negativa: I went there for an appointment with Chanel and everything seemed good until the hour mark when she had another client show up and wait right next to us for about 30 mins which I feel made her start rushing my hair. I told her how I was scared of doing layers as my hair is super thick and it seemed like there was no worry on her end as she's been doing hair for 10 plus years. She styled it and it looked fine until I got home to straighten it and it ended up looking like this. How can a stylist let someone leave with layers that look like this? She only works one day a week there so was unable to fix it until 7 days later which wasn't an option as my birthday was the next day so I called the salon and they were incredible and got me in with someone same day who fixed the mess that was made. She said it looks as if a student did my hair. I messaged Chanel and she didn't even offer an apology just tried to justify why it looked the way it did and called it a miscommunication. She offered to send the stylist that fixed it my money but not a single apology... amazing atmosphere and the one that fixed my hair did amazing as well but I would not recommend going to Chanel.

I read some reviews and chose Bug to do it and she did not disappoint. She's also very sweet and she turned cartoons on for my kiddo and made him and I both feel very comfortable. Usually greeted promptly as I come in the door asking if you are a walk in or have an appointment. If it’s your first time or you scheduled with a different barber then they will show you to the barbers area if you aren’t familiar with it.

Experiencia negativa: Worse experience ever! Zamantha was the worst stylist I’ve ever met! She had an attitude from the moment we walked in!!!!I made an appointment for my daughter to get her undercut cleaned up. Zamantha did a terrible job and cut my daughter’s hair like an ugly boys hair cut! Additional, she tried to robe my hard earned money by lying about the cost of the undercut and charging it as a hair cut!!! GIRL you only cleaned up the undercut my daughter already had and even that small of a job was way too much to ask of you!!!! Stay away from Zamantha she doesn’t know what she’s doing!!!!!!

BUT today I booked an appointment with Celina and all I can say is wow. I pretty much told her I wanted her to do what she thought would work and it absolutely did. She asked plenty of questions about what I liked to get an idea, and I loved that she started off leaving me with a little extra length to see how my curls would look once they dried. She knocked it out of the park and I know exactly where I'll be going back to when the time comes that I need another trim. Can't recommend this place enough now. If you're looking for a great atmosphere, super friendly staff and amazing work, this is where you want to be!

He took the time to braid my hair and package for donation, free of charge. Hair, beard, brows.. and he nailed it all. Very clean, very professional, very impressive business. Experiencia fantástica: Berto the barber was my son's barber. He never had a bad cut. Berto was very patient with him as he was medically fragile. Berto treats all of his customers as family. He also cut my husband's hair and trimmed his goatee for my daughters wedding. You won't go wrong having him cut your hair or your child's hair.

I was referred to bug the barber a bit ago by my barber because he is so busy and I needed my hair done for an event I was attending. I was reluctant but wow!!! She is always punctual, very talented and enjoys her craft and knows the art of a true barber!! Scissors hand design and Bug the barber are so good I drive from Parker Colorado just to get my haircut while passing 100’s of barber shops on the way. I’m often ask by my family why I drive so far to get my hair cut. My answer is simply I want to look my best so I see the best. Berto really takes the time to listen to what you want and delivers an amazing cut. I can’t recommend him enough- he’s truly the BEST barber. My son wouldn’t want to see anyone else!!
