Fantastic experience: Barber shop, Beard grooming I have gone to saints and sailors for a haircut and to get my beard trimmed. Every time I've been there the staff was knowledgeable and courteous. They check to make sure they understand exactly what you're wanting. You're never going to get a 10 or 15 Dollar trim here but that's not to say their prices are unreasonable. When it comes to getting a good haircut or men's grooming I think you get what you pay for. Saints and sailors will be my go-to barbershop in Knoxville.

Fantastic experience: As a black woman with dreads, it's been a struggle finding a barber I feel comfortable with to shave my sides with finesse, and not simply shave my head for the sake of it. Greta was absolutely awesome! I received so many compliments, plus this shop is super clean and their smocks are badass. I now have two places in town I can go to and know I'll be taken care of!

Positive experience: Had an appointment today at 1030am. The guy that was supposed to cut my hair called out and they had no one who could cut it. No one called to tell me this so I wasted my time and gas driving down there. I was getting text messages and emails all the way up until 8am the morning of saying my appointment was confirmed. Really unprofessional. Update: Owner reached out to me about the confusion and attempted to make it right. There was another customer with my same name getting his hair cut when I was. While its understandable, it is still frustrating since it could have been avoided. Regardless, it does say something when the owner reaches out to you and tries to correct an issue. That is always appreciated.

Positive experience: It may really depend on who does the cut. The facility was super clean and great. The guy barely cut my hair. I asked for a cleaner close cut. He barely spoke. Idk if thats because I am a specific type of minority or what... But the haircut wasnt bad, he just didnt do much at all. He also barely spoke to me which is totally fine but couldnt figure out what the sudden silence was about. He he had been very communicative with the other people prior to me. The facility was great looking. Not sure if I just caught my barber at a weird time or if they literally didnt wanna give me a hair cut. If i go back Ill be more stern about what I want and look for a different barber/stylist at the location.

Fantastic experience: I moved here from the west coast and was worried about finding a barber. I was recommended to come here from one of the movers from the company that delivered our stuff. I picked Hannah based off the reviews I read. Hands down and will be my main hair and beard stylist here in Knoxville. She is very friendly, and very confident with her work. The hot towel was the best experience ive had, on the west coast that wasn't/wouldn't happen at all. Not to mention the atmosphere and other clientele is phenomenal and friendly.

Negative experience: Only go here if you want a High and Tight haircut. Two times I've gone in, asked for a trim and immediately been scalped by a 2 or 4 guard razor and by that point you can't say anything.

Fantastic experience: I moved to eastern TN/KY for grad school. I’d been in the area for about 8 months and had tried a few barbers but no one could cut my hair like my stylist at home. Finally, a friend tried Saints and Sailors and recommended Jonathon. On my next day off from school, I drive the hour to Knoxville to see Jonathon and get my hair cut. The shop was clean, everyone was masked and socially distant. Haircut came out great. Sent a picture to my stylist at home and she said it looked great too but I couldn’t like Jonathan more than her. Highly recommend both Jonathon and Saints and Sailors Barber Shop. Will definitely keep going back as long as I’m in the area.

I've been getting skin fades by Johnathan Tilman who has given me my favorite haircut I've ever had and quickly has earned another loyal customer! My 3 year old son has also come with me, and Hannah Hamilton always gives him an amazing skin fade.
