Negative experience: Came in yesterday to get information and make appointment for today. Received text about change in appointment so I called in and see what happened. Apparently my stylist was not coming in today. I rearranged appointment for same day earlier time and was told over the phone I was good to go. So I arrived and got the OH NO THERE WAS A MISTAKE… so I was screwed over (THANKS) by whoever I spoke to on the phone earlier. Hope no one else goes through this situation be sure to follow up.

Negative experience: Probably hit and miss… I saw a lot of men getting good cuts in here. Unfortunately my son’s hair cut was not good. It was straight but looked nothing at all like he asked for. The staff was so laid back that it was borderline unprofessional. Honestly it seemed like a very well-decorated Supercuts.

Fantastic experience: Sunday I made my appointment early in the day for 11:30am and I showed up on time and checked in via iPad. I was seen right away being helped by Crystal. She was very kind, professional and did a fantastic job with my style of hair. I also opted for the 5 min scalp massage (next time I'll do 10 min) The service was exactly what I was expecting and I see no room for improvement. The atmosphere is definitely catered towards men which is no bother to me as I simply just didn't watch the sports on the tv. I am very satisfied with my visit and I will return when it's time for my next cut. Potentially just visiting to get a scalp massage to treat myself before then.

Negative experience: Not family friendly with half naked women all over the walls and music literally blowing out ear drums . The drama amongst the stylists was always a headache . There are PLENTY of other places to get a haircut. Since you have a choice on where to get your hairs cut , I suggest you look elsewhere than here. Trust me , you'll thank me later.

I’ve had several haircuts messed up before by other establishments and I continue to come here solely because of how well I’ve been taken care of ! Consistency and loyalty are two big things for me and this shop has it all !

I’m a male with long thick hair and I am very particular with whom I allow to cut it and Miranda was very focused and took her time to make sure I was comfortable with the cut and even suggested a touch up on tweak on my highlights. Negative experience: Called as soon as they opened to make an appointment same day, they had several available times. I took the earliest possible at 11:30. Was told over the phone, after making the appointment, that the person that would be cutting my hair only has time to do a haircut and nothing else. As if that wasn't odd enough, I showed up at about 11:20ish and sat down since nobody was at the counter and everyone appeared to be busy. Watching the stylists perform haircuts, shaves, shampoo, and hot towel treatments, i felt my blood pressure rise. As customers left, and other customers came in, I was not acknowledged while the others that came in after me were acknowledged and went straight in. Finally, one of the girls asked what my name was for the appointment, she went to the girl I had the appointment with, comes back and tells me "since you were not here 10 minutes early, she took a walk-in and I could come back after 2" instead of arguing the facts as they truly are, I just left. Not worth the hassle. Will absolutely never use them or recommend them. HORRIBLE

I have had my haircut by 2 different stylists and the outcome the same...An amazing haircut from Jade, Kaitlyn I highly recommend this place and the price is no different then a great clips but the quality surpasses them all by far. I would definitely recommend tipping higher then your average place because the haircuts are alot cheaper then what they should be charging.

Negative experience: Walked in to get a quick cut and said it would be 4 hours. Are you joking? If it's that backed up you need to hire more staff. More then half the chairs are empty and only 3 people waiting. Complete lack of self awareness and pure laziness.

Negative experience: Scheduling is terrible, I made an appointment to get a hair cut and ended up waiting almost 45 mins past my scheduled time before walking out. Why have me send a confirmation text in all caps the day before if the time won’t be honored? Total waste of time, icing on the cake was they didn’t notice I had left until almost 20 mins after the fact! They called me and asked if I’d turn around and come back lol What a joke. I usually make a 20 min drive to this location because they used to be great, but never again. The amount of greasy looking dudes that walked in and were immediately seated ahead of me was crazy, I lost count. I’m a veteran and I tip well, but they don’t care. If you work a lot and value your time like I do on the weekends, save yourself the headache.

Negative experience: Brought my 11 year old here for his first ever professional cut. We have always cut his hair at home. I wish I knew the lady's name, but she was a little darker skinned, straight black hair with purple streaks. There is a sign in there that says "Caution. If wearing any, panties may be in a bunch" hers definitely are! She was totally rude! Didn't greet us. Had zero expression when she asked "ready?" then turned and walked to her station. She squirt water on his head, didn't warn him or ask him to close his eyes. This was our first time here, and it will be our last. He asked for a military-style cut. She left it about 3 inches on top. He likes it, so I didn't complain. I walked in planning on tipping $10. She was lucky to get the $5 she got. The other 2 stylists were very talkative to their customers. Our stylist didn't talk at all, other than asking him to tilt his head.

Fantastic experience: Hair Mechanix at Beach Blvd does a stellar job of providing friendly service and quality haircuts. I've been going here primarily for hair and beard care for at least four years now. You're greeted quickly after entering and they offer up something to drink while you wait. Their barbers do a great job of making notes from prior haircuts and explaining what different barber jargon means, for those who don't speak in those technical terms. Overall, I am not surprised to see this is a growing franchise from the high-quality beard/hair care they offer. I highly recommend you consider making someone from Hair Mechanix your go-to barber. I'll be coming back quite soon!

I’ve been to so many places and have had my haircut, only to find hair that was missed, it grew out unevenly and was completely disappointing. Lindsey changed my entire experience and restored my faith in a persons ability to not just cut hair but craft it. By looking at my hair, she knew exactly how my hair grew, she knew the best way to style my hair, she cut my hair perfectly. I won’t go anywhere else ever again! Thank you Lindsey, I’m grateful for this place and I have no doubt that the other barbers here carry a similar level of professionalism and attention to detail. If you’ve not gotten your first haircut for 2023, this is the best place to go to have a great experience and a wonderful haircut, to start off this year in the best of ways and any other time you need your haircut.

Fantastic experience: A buddy of mine at JFRD recommended this place, and I've been trying to get in for a few months now. However, might I recommend making an appointment; every time I went up previously, they were booked out, and now I see why. I finally made an appointment, and got to work with April. Witty, great sense of humor, and she really knows how to cut some hair. It had been a little while since my last haircut, and I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do; April gave me a few suggestions, and went to work. I'm really glad I got her, because she gave me really solid advice, and the end result was excellent. All of this, combined with a really chill environment, and I'll definitely be going back . . . provided I remember to make an appointment first.

Negative experience: Very disappointing in the professionalism of this shop today. I have been going here for the past few months and I have had great experiences. Today I took my son and I was told that they cannot do the haircut that he wants because it takes too long. (zero fade) On their website it only gave one option for a kids haircut and it says 20 mins. I was told by the manager a kids fade cut would take about 20 mins and that was longer then the appointment allowed. They were running behind already for our appointments and failed to provided a great customer experience. You lost a customer over this. A good approach to customer service is knowing your own product, including the features of your website.

Negative experience: Got there at 11:55 signed in and sat down. 4 people walked in after me. A stylist came up and greeted them. After 30 mins A stylist comes up to me and ask my name then told me that they would get me as soon as possible because I’ve been waiting a long time. Asked me what I needed told him a haircut and a trim on mustache and goatee told me they would not be able to do that because he was all squeeze me in keep in mind I’ve been here for 45 minutes. The two people that did not have appointments or in a chair getting their haircut or they are done and already gone hour and five minutes and no haircut

Negative experience: Used to love this place. I've been a customer for 5 years. Lately is a mess to get an appointment. Called early this morning and got scheduled for 5pm. At 330 got a call canceling my appointment. I call back reschedule and told the girl that answer that I was upset for getting canceled and her reply was " if you're so upset, don't come back again ". What great customer service. Just lost a customer

Negative experience: This haircut place has absolutely awful scheduling, there have been multiple times where I have been unable to get my haircut on the day (let alone) the time I HAD AN APPOINTMENT FOR! That is ridiculous! They are not definitely not walk in friendly because even my appointment they aren’t remotely friendly! They offered me a $5 off card which doesn’t begin to pay back my time nor the important photo I had today. Which is why I had an APPOINTMENT! Unprofessional. And just “tough luck, maybe next time “ mentality.

Negative experience: I used to take my son here but after a couple of times of setting up an appointment online only to show up and them tell me they can’t find it, I’d rather not waste my time or energy on going here. At least to this location.

Negative experience: Although the stylists in the past have cut my hair well, poor management has driven me away. I scheduled my appointment a day ahead, was on time yet still 4 people were taken at my time slot. If you schedule 5 haircuts at the same time you should make sure you can keep those appointments in a timely manner. I need somewhere that appreciates my time, especially when it is my personal custom to tip the stylist whatever the cost of service was.

Negative experience: We walked in , they all looked at us up and down as if we were in the wrong place, a far away voice slightly said hi, we’ll be with you in a moment as if not really , I don’t really want to but …kind of tone. We felt so uncomfortable and not welcomed their. So, we just got up and left. I do not recommend this place to no one that’s not white. And do t go in their straight from work! Dress up as if your from the upscale rich side then she’ll smile from far and yell her lungs out to let you know your welcome to come on in and offer you something to drink.

A garage theme welcomes you upon entry, the staff is good, I recommend setting a appointment because they are a busy location. They offer waiting customers a complementary water or beer. And to my knowledge they are a full service venue.
