Negative experience: Terrible experience. Booked days in advance 3 appointments at the same time. Was not put with the people we asked for. Butchered my kids hair beyond fixing it and and didn't even get one of 3 done after being there over an hour. Will never go back. Edit for your response....would you like me to provide proof to the entire internet that you are on here lying? The emails I sent you personally earlier? There were 3 appointments 2 under my name and 1 under his all at 11:30. Now you are either calling my son a liar or claiming the person he was was told him his name was different than it was? It's not that deep. You messed up, and deserved a bad review. I will however respond when you get on here and call me a liar when I gave you all the evidence in text between us. You also refused to tell me your name when we talked. How professional is that?

Negative experience: Arrived at 3:20, was told a 30 minute wait. 4:45pm comes around and husband had still not been called up. Left. Barbers would finish someone’s hair and then go to the back for a while before taking someone else. Won’t be returning. This is the 2nd time they have a super long wait time.

Fantastic experience: First of all, I want to say that my son is 18 years old he is slightly on to spectrum. I also want to say that due to my November budget. I was a little short of money to get my son a haircut. We usually go to great clips. For like a $20 haircut that doesn’t turn out well and things like that. My son‘s father has been absent from his life for over five years. That’s through puberty and development, hair growth and things like that so without being said, he has a tough time with shaving his beard and how to do it, how to take care of his hair exactly things of that nature. So this black Friday he needed to get a haircut really bad and I could only afford out-of-pocket about $50. I looked at my local great clips and on Black Friday they had customized hours. I called the corporate offices and they said yeah we don’t know what their hours are when they’re working and what’s going on. So I google searched and I found 402 fades out of Lincoln, Nebraska. I live about 20 miles away and I don’t frequent Lincoln very much so I don’t know my way around. We got in the car and we drove to where it took us to the mall in Lincoln. With that being said, I was kind of upset because I am not supporting black Friday, and I certainly don’t want to be at a commercialized mall, and I don’t support big business anymore. We entered through the JCPenney‘s and hustled through the crowd talk to a customer service person and asked them where 402 fades was and they directed us outside the mall and to the right, and we got in there and sat down and waited for the appointment time which we had made online so that was super easy. When it was time for my son to get his haircut, the barber approached us and I spoke to him and told him that my son hasn’t had a really good haircut for seriously his whole life. He’s been going to great clips and just getting mediocre haircuts. I also told him it’s really important that he gets a good haircut because it’s for his senior pictures. Then I looked at them and I said could you please address his beard and help him to learn how to shape it up how to style it or trim it or whatever men do. This was an extra five dollars that I thought I could afford. After the haircut was done, I was approached by the barber to come look at my son and see what I thought. The haircut was perfect. His facial hair was perfect. Everything was perfect. I let the barber know that I couldn’t tip very much. He of course told me that that was OK, and he understands and I said it was really important for my son to get a haircut because it’s been quite a few months and we have to take a senior pictures. We are low income family. It’s just the two of us. And things are getting very unaffordable. I will actually be taking my son senior pictures because I can’t afford to have them done professionally. I was speaking to the barber and he gave me his name and I told him how grateful I was and I said what I can do for you is give you a little tip and I would be glad to write to your corporate offices and let them know how wonderful you have been to us, and how great your services are. The barber looked at me and he was nodding, and then he said what corporate offices? And I said the Company that owns 402 fades. He looked at me again and he said ma’am I’m the owner. I was totally thrown off guard because I was thinking because it’s in a mall it is corporately owned. It’s not individually owned. Today on Black Friday, I was actually supporting a small business and an owner of a small company out of Lincoln. I can’t say enough, how embarrassed I was to assume that a shop in the mall was not corporately owned. This gentleman went out of his way to not only give my son a haircut, but to groom his beard and teach him how to groom it. The barber, the owner did not know that my son was on the spectrum. He was not told ahead of time and he’s not learning it until now. I just wanna say how much I appreciate the Owner and all of his business practices. He did an exceptional job with my son. He looks wonderful. Support, small and local.

My son is on the spectrum, AuDHD, you cannot tell as he's level 1 but he HATES getting his hair cut, he has refused a haircut for the past year and a half due to that and the last place I took him to, they jacked it up BAD!! Well Frankie at 420 Fades is Awesome & Talented, he hooked my son up with a Burst Fade and it is clean, sharp and EXACTLY what we wanted!! He listened without annoyance as I explained my sons cowlicks & how past ppl have messed it up and not listened, my son was SOO happy that he said Frankie is the only person he'll go to and he won't go to any other barber! From what I seen they are all good. Frankie tho talked to my son, impressed him with his knowledge and mutual interests and gave my son a super clean cut ✂️ I'm one Happy MaMa!! Thanks Frankie & 420 Fades!! You have NO idea how much easier you just made my life!!

From the minute I walked in to the time my haircut was done. I felt like my guy really heard what I wanted. And then I wanted him to put his own spin on it. Was not disappointed. The barbershop is extremely maintained and well kept. I work on the road and have to find barbershops every town I move to, but wish I could take this place with me. I’m sure all barbers are amazing but Treveon took really good care of me. Hospitality was great.

The lighting is great so you know you will walk out with the best hair cut in Lincoln! Super awesome they are open 7 days a week with Sunday being dedicated to walk ins only!

Negative experience: They were full up with a person in every chair. One guy told me it would be about an hour wait and to put my name on a white board in the back. So I did and went and walked around for about a half hour. Then came back and sat down to wait. I waited for an hour! Most the chair were open then but the barbers were no where to be seen. I finally got up and wiped my name off the bored and walked out. On the way out someone asked if I was going and sorry bout that. I wasted an hour and a half for a haircut I didn't get. I do not recommend.

Word of advice, book your appointment in advance. Wilmer is very dedicated to his craft. He takes extra care to make sure you look good before walking out. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for his services, but this man is definitely worth the wait. He has skills so be patient and let the man cook.

I would always dread going to the barber because I thought my hairstyle and high hairline would make me look ugly or unattractive. After getting a haircut here by Cameron “Big Cam,” it’s honestly the first time in my life I can think of leaving a barbershop more confident and genuinely happier than when I first got there. Cameron took the time to really understand and execute what I was looking for in a haircut, and even though I was somewhat inarticulate, he was able to decipher perfectly what I was looking for. This kind of skill only comes with much time and experience, and I will be going here from now on. Cameron was also awesome to talk to and anyone will enjoy his company if they get a haircut with him. From the thoroughness to the thoughtfulness, this is, without a doubt, the best haircut experience I’ve ever had. I’m grateful to have found this place, and even though a haircut and a beard cut are small things to most people, to me, it made my week. They are always busy (from moms with kids to grey-haired old men) and have had the same boys cutting since I started going so that says something about the place. The owner, Tré, is a sharp kid who is almost always there cutting hair and watching his business. Highly recommend!
