Johnny's Turkish barber

Negative experience: Turned up at 9:30 am and was closed. Came back at 10:00am and it was still closed despite the opening hours listed on Google. Please update your opening times if they're not accurate. I ended up having to go to another barber.

Negative experience: Overpriced charged €36 for skin fade and beard fade is 6/10. Beard messed my box up on my chin

Negative experience: I'm leaving this review to raise serious concerns about animal neglect at this business. Johnny’s Turkish Barber keeps an African Grey Parrot on display as an attraction. Sadly, the bird is kept in very poor conditions. It sits in the same spot day and night in a filthy cage often covered in droppings, with no visible access to clean water. Today, one of the feeders was on the floor of the cage and had not been fixed. The parrot appears to be fed only dry seeds — no fruit or fresh food, which is essential for a healthy, balanced diet. This isn’t just heartbreaking — it’s a health risk for the bird and even for customers. Parrots produce fine dust that can cause respiratory issues if not properly managed. The cage and environment are clearly not being maintained to any reasonable standard. The bird shows signs of distress, and it’s extremely upsetting to witness. African Grey Parrots are intelligent, social animals that need enrichment, care, and attention — not to be used as decoration. I've heard others have already raised this issue in the past. While temporary changes may have been made, the poor conditions always return. This bird is suffering. Please — animals are not props. If you're going to have a pet, care for it properly. If this continues, I will be contacting relevant animal welfare organisations. I truly hope something changes.

I may also add the craic in the barbers makes the wait time sometimes go faster as its a busy establishment. The wash after your haircut is a bonus. Been a regular for a few years now and no complaints!

Negative experience: Took my one year old son here for his first haircut and was charged €20 for 5 minutes 'work.' His trim was uneven on both sides and the barber even managed to cut the back of his neck with the razor. A poor and expensive experience that certainly won't be repeated at these premises.

Negative experience: Went in there thinking it couldn't be more expensive than the other places that have charged me 20 euros for a haircut, so normal hair cut and beard trim cost a total of 30 euros! And I wouldn't complain if it was good, but there are some amateur level mistakes, like some of the shapes on the sides don't level with the other and some clear patches in other places that make it look like over been pranked by some toddler. I guess next time I'll either go up to the north where they would charge you a maximum of £12 for a better cut, or get my 4 year old son to do it because if I wanted to get a cut this bad at least i wouldn't have to pay for it too.

Negative experience: Worst barbers ever. People working are very rude, unprofessional, unhygienic. I have to mention again and again where to cut that too for skin fade. Not at all recommended. They leave you in between haircut. Disgusted. Not at all recommending.

Negative experience: I went in for a beard trim and I specifically chose a Turkish barber as I like the way in which they trim and shape my beard. For €13 the barber didn't use a straight razor or a pair of scissors for the shaping. He used a trimmer and a foil shaver. The result was a sloppy cut in which I had to repeatedly ask him what areas required further attention. Additionally, the staff in this place are argumentative and extremely rude. Zero customer service. Remember gents, your customers pay for your service and help ensure your business stays up and running. I will not be returning in the future.

Negative experience: Not really bothered to provide a good cut. Had to point out clear and obvious issues with the trim, and when i did he just blamed my hair. Plus, he was in a rush to go back to using his phone... Probably to watch YouTube tutorials on hair cuts.

Negative experience: Rude and unprofessional, I don’t know how to spot a bad barber, however, my experience was horrible. I had a haircut and a beard trim, left side of my beard was uneven and longer than the other side, I pointed it out and he got upset, during the process he ruined my beard and it took him 45 minutes to fix his mistake, while yelling and screaming in his foreign language, once done he wanted to charge me double since he had to bring in his coworker to help fix the mess that he created. Needless to say I had to go the another Barbershop to mitigate the problem. Stay away
